Unfortunately, I went on Joe, the owner's off day, so I didn't get a chance to say hi to him, but his staff is always warm and friendly. I dig the amount of Star Wars memorabilia he has, along with all the other toys, collectible card games, tabletop games, and of course, the pinball machines. He also has new Comics weekly along with some back issues, stickers, supplies, and some really great statues. They run Magic the Gathering nights and other gaming functions please jump on their Facebook page to see their schedule. If you're looking for collectible card games singles, they also have probably one of the largest supplies in Northeast Ohio. Check out the 55 pictures I shot. Anytime I shoot 55 pictures tells me that there's so much goodness in there that I can't make up my mind which pictures to shoot. We appreciate the support that they've given us over years. Went by…read morebefore my flight back home and arrived at noon but the arcade doesn't open up til 2pm but the owner of Kidforce was there and opened it up for me to flip in early which was super generous. The machines also played really well and had a good mix from solid states through the latest Stern release, The Uncanny X-Men. Had a great time on the machines which range from $0.50 to $1 a play and even put up some initials. Definitely a fun spot to flip at and they also have video games. The owner mentioned to me that they are getting their liquor license soon so you'll be able to have a beer while you flip in the future!

Thursday was a bright sunny day and the sun beams shone thru the windows to highlight the comic and toy goodness. New comics come in weekly and they have a nice back stock selection. They also have prints, t-shirts and models. Check out their Funkos and models. Recently they have had some pop culture guests like Lou Ferigno, some Power Rangers and some voice actors. There are little toy things, and big toy things. The vintage clothing was one of a kind in different sizes...men, women and some kids. There is something for all ages. Yelp posts the store opens at 2 p.m., and into the evening. It's open on weekends, too. If in the area, check it out. The owner, a friendly guy, was putting out merchandise, and talked about his hobby...all the stuff. My son asked him about Master Chief, which he had some cool items.

We had to stop in and take a look. Despite being a small store the amount of inventory was enormous. You could tell the owner has been buying/collecting for some time. I think he was actually looking at items to purchase when we were in the store. Although we didn't purchase anything on this trip we will definitely stop by again. There appeared to be many hard to find items and items that were very nostalgic. It was fun to look around. The prices seemed fair.

John and crew make this shop accessible to all ages. They have their layout dialed in, their social media dialed in, their special events dialed in and exciting and their books and pricing dialed in so all collectors can enjoy. New books weekly with some cool Facebook intros. A stellar shop cat, Winston, who actually runs things. ( it's a his shop and he actually let's us all enjoy it.) Their back issues are on sale, they have some neat manga titles and families will like the kid's area. They have supplies and probably the largest dual wall of Graphic Novels in Northeast Ohio. Filled with everything from nostalgia and current toys to fan memorabilia and hard-to-find collectibles. I was ecstatic to casually find my favorite toy from my youth, a gigapet, available for sale. My partner and I had a blast sifting through all our favorite toys from our youth and ended up buying the gigapet and a set of vintage Nintendo coasters. This store is super stuffed from top-to-bottom so make sure you take the time to go through it with a fine tooth comb. We ended up buying the gigapet. I keep it on my keychain and it barks at me when it poops or wants to play. It makes me oddly happy in a way I can't even describe. In a world so short on joy, Apple Jax is doing its best to infuse the world with a little fun, laughter and nostalgia.
