First of all the closing time listed on Yelp is wrong! It closes at 8:00 pm on Tuesday nights. This error ruined our entire evening!! We went there thinking it closed at 9:00 but actually entered before closing at 7:50. The two guys working were so incredibly mean and rude and they refused to do our trade in bc we supposedly had to get there an extra hour in advance. This stupid policy is not listed anywhere online or on the Yelp website and so we drove all the way there and they just rudely denied us any service!!! I had a very disappointing experience this morning when I was there with my 10-year-old son who wanted to buy a game. The used 2019 game he wanted had a price tag of $2.99, but when my son asked the employee if it was really that price, the employee checked and told him that it was actually more. His response seemed strange. The discrepancy between the advertised price and the actual price made me question him especially since it involved a 10-year-old kid. I expressed my disappointment to the employee, explaining that it is not normal practice to raise the price after it was advertised differently. The employee then offered to sell it to us for $2.99, which only added to my frustration. Was he trying to take advantage of a kid? Anyway, we didn't buy anything and went to Best Buy instead. I visited this store location on 12/28/24. I did a couple trade-ins and purchases under one transaction. I made 4 purchases. I have so far played two game since that day. When I was ready to play the next game, I noticed the box is empty. I then checked the other box and that was also empty. Out of the 4 games I purchased, 2 were game are missing. I still have my original receipt so I wanted to confirm if I was charged for the games or not. Not only was I charged for games I didn't receive, but I was also charged for game warranties which I said I did not want. I can understand that the employee, Delon, could have forgotten to include the game discs, but how can I justify adding game warranties I clearly told him I did not want? On top of all that, Delon also used another Pro member's membership. I know this because I can see someone else's name on the receipt being thanked for shopping at GameStop. Is this not also a privacy concern? I have made multiple calls to the store over multiple days and no one answers the phone. Located in the Ralphs/Best Buy shopping center near Overland between Venice & Washington this Gamestop has served the community well for several years. I'm a long time customer and have always received great service here even though the employees and management have changed. The selection is great, the store is well organized and they always go the extra to help you locate a game or item you might need at another location if they don't have it. The iPod dies fast on a full charge (it usually lasts between 30minutes-to-1hour on a full charge). I truly regret keeping the iPod. Note: When you buy any new or pre-owned product from any store, truly test the product out and be aware of the store's return/exchange policy for that product (GameStop's pre-owned merchandise return/exchange policy is pretty stiff). Be especially vigilant with buying pre-owned electronic goods (whether bought for yourself or others). For the record: The condition of the iPod when purchased was okay (it had some minor surface scratches). The iPod's performance is what wreaks. read more

I had such a bad experience there today. ! I was going in trying to get a new copy of a game that just recently got out (2 weeks ago) . Online said they have copies. The gentlemen on the cashier also saw there should be copies. ....But by all means (!)- he could not find it!! Like the game would just magically appear after he didn't see it the second or third time?! Hello ?!? Eventually, I as client had to do his job and find a solution. So I thought and ask him for a Digital Code Kart of the game as he was about to sent me away with empty hands and wasted time during worst traffic hours. Luckily I had the idea with the digital code at the end but that was his job to offer me in the first place. I also was not compensated any other way. I was shocked and just happy I was able to stay calm. The manager was gone and the one supposed to help out (she was there from another location) was also absolutely unhelpful and left the location that minute- not willing to help out her obviously struggling co worker. I've been calling for days, over and over again, trying to ask them a question. I've been calling so much I feel like a spam dialer. But they NEVER pick up, and the inbox is always full. I've called other GameStops as a test and always end up getting through to someone after a few tries, but this place never answers, in my experience. Man, I usually love game stop but I recently had a pretty bad experience. I went last Saturday and my friend and I were looking through the ps2 games (looking for some good oldies). My friend saw a stack of ps2 games that was out of place (it looked like it was going to topple over) so he placed them back on the shelf. Some younger girl, with short hair, in about her mid 20s yells "leave those alone!" and runs toward them and says that she was putting them in alphabetical order. She didn't say sorry, excuse me, she seemed very annoyed when he was just trying to help. Earlier that same lady was very unhelpful to a mother who was looking to get a Nintendo DS game for her son. It was obvious that the mom was completely unfamiliar with games. She was trying to get the employees opinion on a game but the employee just said, "It's an RPG game with lots of reading" and used other terms that obviously confused this lady sort of condescending and with attitude. This experience made me not want to buy anything. The other lady behind the counter was very pleasant and actually took her time to talk to customers.
