I decided to stop this GameStop after watching a movie at the Cinemark nearby, since I was here anyway. It's been quite a few years since I've been to this location, but I have to say it looks a lot better than it used to. They have these really awesome displays that I couldn't stop looking at . I also really like how the employee inside was really helpful and friendly, while still being really relaxed and low-key. High energy store employees always drain me . The store is set up so that you don't feel too cramped, and all the products are easy to look at. There was so much so look at in this store, I spent like 15-20 min just walking around and looking at everything . Well anyway, definitely recommend this location! read more

Bro gamestop is so booty. I went to this location cos I had two year warranty on a brand new ps5 remote I had bought. When I went to get it replaced they replaced it with a used reconstructed remote. I get home and the thing loses charge in 2 minutes, it has to be connected to work without dying, and the touch pad does not work. I didn't get warranty as I thought id be getting a new remote but yeah. Horrible. Now I have to go drop 79.00 on a new remote. Never buy anything from Gamestop man. This gamestop falls in line with the majority of gamestop stores having a selection of new and used games, organized quite store, good air conditioning, product samples and decent week and weekend hours. I came here to this gamestop which is in the downey Landing plaza off of Lakewood & Stewart/Gray near Jamba, Best Buy, Staples and all of that. The parking was great and this area is convenient for shopping so I walked in. The workers were helping people at the front as I began to peruse a nice assortment of used WII games. They had DS, PS3 and Xbox games but I do not have those machines. I saw a few games I liked for $8 and $14 so I may be back before the 25th. In this economy you need a placed with used entertainment at reduced prices. They had games you can try out on protected WII and PS3 stations but I left to take care of errands and job searches. Horrible customer service. I ordered a PS5 black controller online for Black Friday. After 2 days, I never received a online confirmation that they had my order even though they had them in stock. I called and a male employee told me the system was not working like it should but he LITERALLY says he's see's my order on their desk and it's ready for pick up. So I go the next day after work, and when I arrive, there's a big mess of merchandise all over their desk. I told the employee, a overweight female, that I'm here for my online pick up. She can't find it, but finds the online confirmation paper which shows they did have it. She accidentally gave away my order away and they no longer have anymore in stock. All other stores did not have them in stock either. I drove from La Habra to this store because they were the only ones that had it stock. She didn't apologize, she merely shrugged her shoulders, and didn't care. I contacted customer service and they gave me a "too bad" attitude too. This is completely crap. I needed up waiting a few more days and make another long drive because of GAMESTOP'S mistake. Just a horrible experience with this store and it's employees. read more

First of all, we walked in and right off the bat the vibe was not it. They barely greeted us and Kenya was SO unprofessional. Ok So i walked into this gamestop today looking for a wii nunchuk and i walked in mind you didn't get a greeting or anything. This was around like 10:50 to 11:00 am so I'm looking around looking lost because I'm looking for the wii nunchuks and this man at the cash register asked a lady if she needed help with anything even though I'm just standing there looking lost and the lady said no thank you. But didn't bother with me until i finally asked for where they were and he said oh all we have is pre owned left but we I have to unlock it so i said ok and stood in line. So i get to the check stand and i ask for the pre owned nunchuk and he GOES OVER THERE AND SAYS THAT WE ARE OUT WTH. It was March when me and my Ma went to buy a new controller for my system and I asked Michael if I can put down money for new Pokémon games coming out towards the fall and Michael argued with both me and my mom and that there was no new Pokémon games coming out For my other games system Nintendo 3DS XL and It was to my dismay that I couldn't get what I always get every year for the past 5+ years and today Because of what he argues with me and told me that no new Pokémon games were coming out I decided to sell my game system and games but that was before I saw with my own eyes that I was right they are coming out but I was too late I never want to come back here to the store ever again because of Michael i've been going to the store for 10+ years. It was a better place for everyone's experience when they felt welcomed by Jonathan an old young manager. He will be always missed. And today when I was selling my belongings to Michael seen the future Pokémon games coming out behind him I heard him what the other customers him trying to sell him the Pokémon games I asked him about but he wouldn't sell it to me. I was looking for deals on the store when i saw CALL OF DUTY INFINITE WARFARE for 9.99 with the call of duty modern warfare remastered bundle used. I asked JENNIFER the store emplyee behind the register if both games were included in the disc. She very positively said yes. I was very exited and bought the game. When i got home i saw that the disc only contained one game and the other was a digital download which of course it was redeemed. I bought it on Thursday and i said to my self its ok ill take back next thursday i could bring it back within 7 days but no they told me it was technically 8 days and i coulnt get credit for it. Bought a brand new Xbox 1 S about a month ago and attached was a 6 month Xbox live subscription. So I go to enter it and says it was not activated so I go into the store and tell them and they still tried to charge me the $40 for the Xbox live subscription say "it was a promotional deal that when you bought the Xbox they would take $10 off the subscription card" 1. They did not mention that, at the time of purchase 2. Why would they attach it straight to the box if you're still gonna have to pay for it 3.
