The Gilded Nest - Vintage cards

Apparently, the origin story of The Gilded Nest is that it started as a Christian bookstore. After…read morea while, the owner thought that if she changed it to a Christian bookstore AND a home decor and handcrafted goods store, the store would attract more customers. That seems like some 4D chess right there, and good business sense. I can imagine more people would want to visit a home goods store than they would a Christian bookstore, but I could be wrong. That said, there's still a Christian bookstore in the back of the store, with all sorts of nonfiction and fiction texts. (Even Christian romance books! Sizzling.) The rest of the store is home decor, candles, signs, dish towels, art supplies, greeting cards, artificial flowers, vintage pieces, and handmade jewelry and art from local artists. It's a mishmash of all kinds of things, and everything is arranged just so, and the whole store is pleasing to walk through. It also smells nice because of all the candles. The Gilded Nest also offers art classes and creative workshops, like flower arranging. They have a little art studio in a corner. This is a store that my mom would have loved. She liked to decorate her house with hand-painted signs with Bible verses on them, chalk-painted shabby chic furniture and cute little trinkets. As soon as I walked into the store, I was like, "Oh man! I wish my mom could be here! She would appreciate this." Most of the store is not my style at all, but I liked walking around and looking at all of the things and thinking about what my mom might have bought. There are lots of things here, and it's a great place to browse and maybe pick up a gift or two.

This is a cute little shop on State Street in Greenfield. I drove by at the other day and decided…read moreto stop today after work. Everything is nicely arranged and there are several different booths. I did not have a lot of time to shop today but I will definitely stop back by here to see what new items are offered after Christmas. They have a lot of Christmas decorations, ornaments, and a variety of other crafts and Craftsman type items. I was greeted and asked if there was anything they could help me find and they also let me know there were several of the booths that had discounts. This shop is owned by two women Mary Schuck & Jamie Cook. Please stop by and support this small business.

Lots of people brought there own games as well. We brought our kids and tried out a few games for a low-stakes and affordable family outing, and we'll definitely make this a regular spot. Where else can you entertain two adults, 2 kids, have snacks and great drinks for 3 hours and spend less than $50? What a great find! They also have a great selection of games to purchase as well as some collectibles. Highly recommend!

The table reservations are $40, but once you arrive, that money becomes credit to be used in the store for food, drinks, games, etc. They have a coffee shop in the back with elixers, coffee and tea, and a small assortment of baked goods. They also have a large selection of brand new games and game novelties for purchase. In the very back, behind the coffee counter is a selection of games that can be played while in the store. There is no charge for those. You cannot bring your own food or drink in. The table reservations are for 2 hrs I believe. They also do events in the store like D&D.
