Cash America is one the worst and most inconsistent pawn shops in Greensboro. The store associates…read moregive you the run around whenever you come in to pawn or sell an item (one day they say they will accept an item, then when you get there they say they aren't accepting said item). The associates also seem to be overly selective with who they choose to do business with, even if it is a profitable item you are looking to sell or pawn. They use the "we have enough of that in our inventory" excuse quite often with certain people, I've noticed. If you are looking for a reasonable pawn shop in the Greensboro area to sell/pawn items, I highly recommend National Pawn and Jewelry on Battleground Ave. The associates there are way more friendly and willing to work with you. Even if you have an item that they may have "too much of" in their inventory, they will still work with you and give you a reasonable amount of money. Cash America Pawn is a joke.

One employee actually checked about 5 computers to see if they had a high storage as I told her I needed it for school. There are two problems with this location…read more First, the bathrooms have no ventilation and no attempts are made to cover/fight smells. If someone uses the bathroom and doesn't flush right away the horrid smell suffuses the room in a stomach churning smell that frequently drifts out into the hall. Sometimes you can smell the bathrooms 10 feet away. It's always been like this and it's inexplicable to me why they haven't done anything about it. The second problem is in the cafe. In our society where everything is driven by things they need to be plugged in, it's a mystery to me why there are are no plugs in the cafe. I think each side has one two plug setup and that is it. I'm really surprised they haven't just done a refresh on the whole area as it looks very run down and ratty. It would be a good excuse to add in the outlets and charging stations.

I ask if they will price match their own app and she says yes, and then pawned me off to another employee. Still fine. The price came up as $11.69 each on sale from $12.99. Then bOGO. But it's annoying you pay $1.69 more at this location than the app says it should be. I explained the coupon to the employee and suddenly the manager is interested. She says what is the deal again and I explained it again, it's directly from their app, and she's like is that a screenshot? I said yes because the Internet in here is terrible. She then says I need you to pull it up on the app. I'm like OK but your Internet's terrible so my wife does pulls it up on the app shows her exactly what the screenshot shows, where online the frame would be $4.99 in store. You have to buy two to buy them as a buy one get one for $9.99. I mean if you're gonna treat me like a criminal like I'm trying to steal $1.69 remember it's in a store with no cashiers where you're literally self servicing each of your items as your own employee because they don't wanna do it. The hardware and backing on them is the lowest quality and typically will break off and is not even really on. They can't get rid of because there's hardly anybody that shops here - the store is in disarray. It's gotten kind of dirty, even though it's not that old and it's just not fun to shop here. It cannot be affordable to have people just not shop here anymore because your product qualities is low. Your stores are a mess. Went in a few days later and purchased a charger, phone case, and screen protector WITH the protection plan. My charger didn't work from the get. Went back to the store to exchange it for a working charger and was told bc I didn't have my receipt they couldn't do anything AND Joe was no longer with the company. A young lady with a bad attitude, name starting with an A, told me to give her 48hrs to try to locate my receipt in their system. I gave "A" three days before I called up there and was told their system had been down. They've had no luck. Give them some more time and they'd call. The next week, still no word from anyone, so I popped back in. There, I was told "A" was no longer with the company (I can't even make this stuff up) manager, we'll call "P", said he'd personally be on it. Took my name and number down, STILL not replacing my damaged charger AND I needed a new screen protector put on due to a cracked screen. Nothing was done that day bc THEIR employees didn't put it into their system under my account?? Left very upset but tried to be patient and trust that "P" would make things right. After two days I tried to contact "P" bc he clearly forgot about me or hoped I'd go away. Went back up to the store at 10:30am to be told from a worker in the parking lot that they couldn't get into their building, "you'll have to come back". So I did later that afternoon. A different lady "helped" me as she made me wait for 20 min (there was no one else in the store) to tell me "P" was in a meeting. He never came out to help me. She handed me a new charger and screen protector and says, "P" ate this for you, just know if anything happens to these it's on you". I picked two watching under the pretext that they were part of the BOGO sale. The man even told me how great of a sale it was at he was sad that he was single and didn't have someone else to give the second watch to. I went through with the sale and that was it. I usually just pay my bill online and kept it moving. I happen to actually look at my bill and realize I'm being charged for the second watch, I call AT&T and they tell me that the watches I picked were never part of that sale and since it's outside of the return window.
