I had about 200 games I was trading in if I had to guess, maybe more, and I was pretty nervous because I knew it was going to take a long time to process them all and didn't want whoever got stuck doing it to hate me for it. Right off the rip I could tell he wasn't annoyed that I brought so many games in and at one point mentioned "actually processing all of these into our system will likely take the rest of my shift and I'm down for it!". It took about 2 hours and not a single complaint. What a cool dude, thank you. Ended up buying a stack of games and about 5 brand new ones too, which I usually don't do, and was really excited to see gamestop will give you actually brand new sealed games now when you buy new ones! I leave this review for the store manager Kyle for this location. He was kind and accommodating for me when he had no heat. We talked about him getting space heaters from Walmart so he doesn't have to work in his jacket all day. I would like to know if Kyle stayed warm and if GameStop did ANYTHING to help him. One thing that stands out about this Gamestop is that the people at the counter are friendly and knowledgeable. I've come here looking for tips on what kinds of video games to purchase for friends of ours that have kids and they always make great recommendations. The only downside is that it's near a Wal-Mart and it's difficult to get out of the parking lot due to the traffic. Avoid this location! I bought some used games here with the original case. An employee then swapped out the original cases for generic gamestop cases under the counter, and shoved it in a bag before I could see. I didn't notice until I got home. Also, I watched a store employee grab discs by the MIDDLE of the disc instead of holding it on edge. I wonder how they treat games when people aren't looking. Other locations around here are better, I would avoid this location though. They are shady and with little concern for being careful with games. read more

The most ridiculous place I have ever dealt with. First of all I walk in and one of the employees greets me with a what's up. I brought in 2 Xbox, 15 games with Kinect. Great experience. The store inside the mall is pretty awful and almost turned me off Gamestop forever, but I'm glad I have this nearby location a chance. Was empty when stopped in to pick up a new controller for the Switch (which they had in stock whereas the other location did not) and had some old games and stuff to trade in. The customer service is horrible. I asked about joy con controllers and he said he's never heard of them, refused to check in the back, or look up to see if another GameStop had them. He also cut me off and didn't let me finish my sentences! He had no issue talking to another customer about Pokémon for a while before even helping me. Traded in Assassins Creed & Dead rising for NBA2k14, employees are great & helped picking between the nba live and nba 2k by asking how I like to play and expect out of the game I want. Great customer service and always friendly people here. Never a issue with this gamestop as I've had problems at others like the other lynnwood location. I have had fine experience in the store, but the online experience has been nothing short of laughable. Don't waste your time or money with this website. The online store is a bad joke. My order was cancelled, my gift card zeroed out, and the explanation was, the order did not pass security checks. ? DON'T PREORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE. EVER. Even if you pay it off 100% before pick up, they'll charge you for ANY AND ALL tax increases. My boyfriend preordered Doom and paid for it all on the spot so he could simply go in and get it on the release date. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR IN FULL AT A PREVIOUS DATE, they made him pay the tax increase in order to take the game that he'd ALREADY PAID FOR. Talk about unprofessional as hell. He's lucky he had the extra cash on him to get the game. Don't make preordering an option if you can't eat increases. You'd think happy customers would be a priority, but I guess not. The extra tax was only .18¢ on the game, totally backwards and unprofessional, but whatever we paid it. BUT he also preordered the VR headset from them awhile ago. So are they going to try and charge an extra $40 - $50 on that too?!?! Because if they do I'm getting my money back and giving it to a business that actually cares about their customers and business reputation. Because GameStop clearly does not. Hopefully this review saves some other people the hassle of an unprofessional experience with this shady business and it's extremely rude staff. This is the gamestop the furthest away from the food court. Yesterday, I walked into the store looking for a PSP case. I also wanted to ask a question about an upcoming game. I spent 10 minutes standing at the front counter while the guy behind it completely ignored me. I watched him make a personal call on the Gamestop phone and after he hung up, he proceeded to have a friendly conversation with, of all people, HIS MANAGER! His manager ignored me too! This was early on in the day and I was the only one in the store. There is simply no excuse for this. If you need to go to a Gamestop, go to the one near the food court. Came in to buy a new controller for my xbox 360. Clean place and great selection of games. Ashley (thoughtful and awesome worker) helped my buddy to pick games for his new nintendo 3DS. My buddy was looking at used games, mind you, the used game covers didn't have the pictures and information. But Ashley provided stellar service by YouTubeing the gameplay to show my buddy what type of game he was to buy. I gotta say this is simple yet effective world class customer service. My buddy has a developmental disability and even though this probably might be a simple act of "doing your job" on her part, it's the highest quality of service. Ashley's service shows why I like coming to game stores instead of simply buying it online. One star less because the assistant manager was mundane and wasn't as cordial as his subordinate. Usually I love video game shops but this one is pretty bad. My main issue is the store is tiny. When there are 10 people in there it is very crowded and uncomfortable to browse. I went in there on crutches once and could not maneuver around at all. There was no room between the shelving units and I found myself bumping stuff over. Typically they have great recommendations and their 7 day guarantee like it or return it on their used games is their saving grace. I am not a fan of how they do their midnight releases. Full disclosure I have not done one for about a year but when I did there were 2 lines, one for the people who reserved it and were supposed to get it quicker and the other one was for people who did not. I reserved a game and waited in line for an extra hour compared to those who did not. I was under the impression that when you reserve a game you get first crack at picking it up. Now I go to Wal-Mart for midnight releases because you get to wait indoors and the wait seems shorter. If they want to improve they need to expand their store or move to nearby location with more room. read more
