Such a fun store!! So many nostalgic toys and even newer ones too! Everything is decently priced as well!

10/10 a must visit! This shop is a great place to revisit your childhood nostalgia and time hop with your kids. If your into retro collecting this place has a little bit of everything for you!

Merchandise of Super Mario Bros, Sanrio, and Goosebumps were the things that brought me back to my childhood. For Small Business Saturday I decided to check out downtown Kent. The window display of Retro Emporium was decorated with iconic Christmas pop culture movies such as The Christmas Story and Elf. It was super busy when I walked in. It's a great place to find gifts from the 80s and 90s. This shop was definitely a great find!

Walk in and get a flashback of my youth. A fun range of retro treasures and even a selection of vinyl in the back.

I decided to try La Huerta Market in the search for Green Tomatoes…read more Although I didn't find the Tomatoes I did find a lot of other things. The Bakery had delicious looking cakes. They also have a Hot Deli with a variety of meals to choose from. They have fresh Produce and a bait of meats to choose from. All the shelves were stocked. The Service was great, very inviting. The store was clean and just fun to walk around and embrace their Culture.

No telling how many times I passed this place over the decades, but I never paid it any attention…read more When I did a search for Mexican grocery stores, it was one of the top results. I knew exactly the spot, and decided to check it out. This place gets an A+ on selection, but that is where the praise stops. I saw so many things I was interested in, but unfortunately, 90% of what I saw had no price on it. It's kind of hard to shop when you have no idea what the prices are. Judging from the prices I did see; I would say pricing here was on the aggressive side. I considered checking out the Taqueria, but unfortunately the menus consisted on plates only. I just wanted to try a single taco, and small side of rice and beans, but the only taco option was a 3-taco plate. I ended up buying 4 fresh salsa and a bag of chips. 2 of the 4 salsas were terrible and one of the remaining 2 was decent, but all salsas needed salt and the Habanero option was the mildest of the bunch. The chips were also commercial and not homemade as I hoped. Enough people were shopping to let me know the community supports the business, but that also could be because they are the only option. There are larger stores in both Burien and Federal Way that have better pricing, I'll certainly shop there before returning here again.

Plenty of parking and I love they have creative photo ops here, including their mascot, Greg Glitter, the, space-themed mascot. All their chocolate candies are rich, but my favorite is their cookies and cream chocolate. The customer service at Maeve was wonderful and the ambiance is simple, cool and collective

The tasting featured six…read moredistinct chocolates -- everything from bright, fruity single-origin bars to richer, high-cacao pieces -- and while all were tasty, I generally preferred the darker, more complex offerings. The textures were clean and the flavor development in the dark bars (bitter-sweet, with subtle fruit and spice notes) stood out. The tour guide They were excellent, personable, clearly passionate, and very knowledgeable about bean sourcing, tempering, and flavor profiling. Their demos on conching and tempering made the process tangible without getting bogged down in jargon. Some history Maeve Chocolate's shift from the Seattle Chocolate name reflects a move to emphasize craft, single-origin sourcing, and a modern identity that better represents their focus on ethical sourcing and flavor-driven small-batch production. The new name and packaging celebrate provenance and the personalities behind the beans, while preserving the company's Seattle roots and commitment to quality. Highlights Six thoughtfully curated samples showcasing a range of cacao percentages and origins. Strong preference for the dark chocolate line -- nuanced, well-balanced, and memorable. Informative, engaging guide and a concise, behind-the-scenes look at production. Friendly tasting pace that allowed time to savor each piece and ask questions. If you appreciate chocolate craftsmanship and want a guided tasting that balances technique with flavor exploration, Maeve Chocolate's tour is worth it.
