Terrible service. I was told the item I wanted was in stock, but after waiting 20 minutes, they still couldn't find it. I ended up leaving empty-handed. The store was very disorganized, and they never pick up the phone, which makes it even more frustrating. I won't be back such a shame, because I've always loved GameStop! read more

This GameStop has been part of my childhood growing up, I use to come here even before it was GameStop and was called EB Games! I've done tons of midnight releases, etc and I much rather goto this GameStop instead of other big box stores like Best Buy or Walmart. This place is always very clean, spacious, friendly staff that greet you when you walk in. They're not as big as they use to be, they usually are out of stock of a lot of things but they have a good selection of everything from games, to merchandise, to funko pops and more! read more

Peter was one of the most knowledgeable, reliable, and professional staff members, and losing him due to poor management speaks volumes. When good employees are pushed out, customers notice. Called on Sunday at about 6:45, online it said that they close at 8. No answer multiple times, and no option to transfer to someone at the store. It's not too far from my house, and I needed to go to the grocery store, so my son & I hopped in the car and drove to this GameStop location. The doors were locked, no one inside. The pictures that I shared were on the door. Never seen this before. So we left to go to the grocery store. We came back at 7:30ish, saw someone walk in as we pulled into the parking lot, who turned the lights off. Then they turned the lights back on, we hurriedly parked, my son went to the door, and it was locked. The person went in the back, and didn't come back out. We waited another 5 minutes, and left. The Oceanside N.Y. GameStop is the most intriguing GameStop location I have seen. I like this place because as soon as I walk in they ignore me, which is actually great. Most GameStop's have very pushy annoying employees who always want me to join a rewards program. They have most gaming things you need however a lot of the time they have to call another store to order a product.
