I just went into this location to buy a new system and some games. Already knowing what I wanted defiantly helped but the service Allie P gave me was awesome as well. She knew I was coming in to spend money and could technically talk me into anything. She didn't. Just helped me get the minimum. I stop by this store whenever I goto the Westgate mall, otherwise I rarely ever goto Gamestop. I usually buy my stuff online or through Craigslist. People say this store is small but it's the same size as every other Gamestop I've been to with the exception of the one on Stevens Creek by Barnes & Nobles. Can't really complain about the store or selection itself because they're all pretty much the same. Whenever I go I rarely talk to the staff but for the most part they all seem pretty friendly. The only name I remember is Patti (I used to go to this store alot years ago and she's the only one that still works there). But she's really nice and very helpful even if you don't end up purchasing anything. It's a improvement from my experiences at other Gamestop locations. read more

I never get upset when it comes to retail shopping. I worked retail for 4 years, I understand customers can be real jerks some times and that's why I treat retail employees with a lot of respect when I shop. Came here the other day trying to see if I can get a copy of battlefront for ps4. Walked straight to the front desk, saw a worker stocking the shelves behind the register and I patiently waited for him to finish. I wasn't in a hurry and did nothing wrong. The worker turns around and says "what do you want?"..seriously?? I asked him if there were any specials that could help me out on Battlefront (because black Friday was coming up). His face was very smug and tone super sarcastic. He said no. I asked him what other deals they had regarding ps4 games and what games would be worth looking into. He handed me the black friday ad and didn't say anything else. I couldn't give this guy my business and turned around. Screw this gamestop. Went to target across the parking lot. Oh god, here comes the geek in me. So I've never waited in line for a video game. I've waited for roller coasters, bars/clubs, movies, but for video games this was a first. My addiction with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare led me to this situation, to my excitement and anticipation the sequel to this game came out Monday night at midnight, MW2. So there I was standing in line at 11:30 p.m. surrounded by prepubescent teens and 40 year old men talking about magic cards and wizards, what have I gotten myself into.... As much as they tried to keep things organized and fast flowing, a lot of the people waiting in line had not payed in full. If they did a better job vocalizing this while we were waiting, at 12:00 a.m. people could have been out of there fast. Instead I was sitting in the cold until 12:40 as my friends who bought from other game stops were in the comfort of their homes shooting it up. I now know for Modern Warfare 3. read more

Like other reviews, -1 star for being small with a limited selection. Aside from selection, this Gamestop is the only one I actually enjoy dealing with. Most employees I have dealt with are very friendly and helpful, moreso than the people at the Gamestop across the street. This store has excellent customer service. For example: My girlfriend reserved the newest Fallout (collectors edition) for me online. In order to avoid shipping charges, we decided to cancel the online reservation and reserve a copy in-store. We went to this Gamestop and Patty (or Patti?) was the employee who assisted us. When we told her we wanted to reserve the collectors edition, she explained that there was a deadline that we had missed by a week and that only the standard edition could be reserved. When we asked if there was any way to get the collectors edition, she explained that the only way it was possible was if someone who reserved a collectors edition decided to get the standard edition when they picked it up from the store or they did not get it after 4 days of release. I was disappointed but Patty explained to us that it was actually more common than we might think when people see the extra $20 that the collectors edition costs. With this glimmer of hope my girlfriend and I returned on the release date and luckily were helped by Patty again. I asked if they had any collectors editions that people didnt want like she instructed us to do and Patty said that the person just before us had seen the price tag and gotten the standard edition, just like she said would happen! So I got my collectors edition all thanks to excellent customer service on Patty's part. I have come back to this store and have been helped by Patty a few other times since then and she has consisted been a fantastic person to deal with. If they dont have a game I'm looking for in stock, she offers to call other stores to help me find it. Last time she evencalled 3 different stores. When none of them had stock, she informed me what the best time frame would be to try again. She really goes out of her way to help each and every customer as much as she can. To contrast this, my friend called A DIFFERENT GAMESTOP and asked if they had a game in stock and the employee said no so my friend asked if any other stores nearby had stock and the employee simply replied "you can call them and find out" What a dick! Unfortunately employees like this are common, good service is hard to find these days in retail. came here a few times to trade in games and systems.. Most clerks do a awesome job, give no grief, are fast, smooth and know what they are doing and are knowledgeable on store policy. 5 stars. But i came here a my last time.. i ran into a different clerk recently trying to trade in a wii and xbox 360.. she says "oh where is the original A/V cable for the wii?" i say " its got a after market A/V component cable.." her " oh i cant take it like that".."store policy" she did that for both systems.. wouldn't take the system with a hdmi cable .. for a xbox360.. Thats a bunch of BS i had brought previous systems( 2 non working ps3's ) with after market a/v or hdmi cables and they took them no issues.. she was total headache.. wont return to this store. so i had to drive to a different game stop pretty rude and inconvenient. -3 stars.. BTW.. other Game Stop TOOK them with the cables she denied me the sale with.. she obviously doesn't know store policy.. she also came to work late that day so she was probably in a bad mood and took it out on me haha read more

This gamestop really went down in customer satisfaction since there new long black haired female employee started she is very rude and not helpfull at all, it used to be very good I went all the time ,but now I suggest to anyone take your business elsewhere if possible she tries to undermine you and is very vocal if she does not like you. I always surf the net for good insights on stores around my area. And I happened to come across this gamestop which i have been shopping at for awhile now. I just got done reading jeff's review about his experience and I was more shocked than anything, I know the asian person he is talking about and he is by far one of the best gamestop employees i have ever seen he is always helpful and seems to really know his stuff. I actually remember the whole ps3 return thing as well since I had the same situation and he did mine at this gamestop and the asian guy helped me. No problems I never ever write a review since most are all bias but Jeff's review is just really being bias. Because when i was doing my return the person was talking about how he went on a trip so he's been gone for the past couple of days. AND YOU EXPECT HIM TO KNOW ABOUT THE POLICY WHEN HE WASN'T THERE TO KNOW ABOUT IT. Jeff sir you fail at reviews and should be revoked of writing anything ever again. the person doing the return even told me he just heard about it and had to call his manager that morning to verify that the return was possible. Jeff is a typical consumer and obviously has no patience. If Jeff was an actual intelligent individual then maybe he could have written a real review. And if you had talked to a girl then you could have asked to talk to her and or took a business card and called back later or you could have asked him to call someone to verify the offer. Jeff probably did none since he was too busy thinking about only himself and not taking the time to understand the situation. I have had a situation where my game was 2 days over the return policy but the asian guy called his manager and did the return for me. So please ignore Jeff's review and take the time to go in and shop at this gamestop and make your own review. Also please write a review about this gamestop and helped to prove Jeff wrong on his review because I'm pretty sure there are others who have shopped here and have had an awesome customer service. I love this place. I love coming here and everyone knows so much. Most of all I love working with Patti there. She is the most helpful and the most pleasant person I have ever known. This place knows what I want and they know what to recommend. I even live by it now. After living across town, I love to go in there. And it is not just because Patti is totally cute and adorable. i came in and traded some games, found what i wanted, and went to use my trade credit. there was a family doing two simultaneous transactions, and after about 30 minutes one of the computers locked up and all in all i was waiting for over 45 minutes for them to run 2transactions. i certainly wouldn't have waited that long to spend money. read more
