I was looking for a particular game, and this place was the only business that was offering it in my area. I know most people buy their games digitally, but I prefer the physical copy of games. I know Gamestop will eventually go out of business the same way as Blockbuster video, but I'd like to keep funding the ancient memories of physical games, because it's what I'm used to.

The staff here really know gaming and will answer any questions you may have. They really make every visit pleasant. I found Resident Evil Village Collector's Edition at this store. It was sold out everywhere. They always have the best videogames available and also carry collector's editions in stock. This is the best Gamestop in the SF Valley!!!

Cool place my kids love it, and they never didn't have anything that the boys didn't want.

My Event was at the end of August 2024. Highly recommend this family business…read more Service: Communicative attentiveness, availability was great. The game coaches were excellent and their professionalism, service and cleanliness were top notch. Guests absolutely loved the snow cone machine (8 flavors) and were served by the game truck team. They provided about 8 chairs for exterior gaming. On a hot day, I suggest putting up canopies for the "extras" you may order from them, plus guests (parents) who might want to hang near the truck. GameTruck: The truck/trailer needs at least 3 car lengths of space in front of a residence. Game selection was excellent across all platforms and satisfied 6yo - 14yo players. Cool mood-setting RGB lighting in the interior. Clean and excellent condition physical space and hardware. Mixed feedback from guests about the A/C but my b-day boy said he was perfectly cool. Service Acquisition: Business was conducted 100% over the phone. Told owner that my discovery and background knowledge was via Yelp. As such, service area limitation premiums $$ and travel fees were not referenced nor communicated in the procurement conversation. The business educated me about them after invoice was provided. Please ask for the distances as they differed - at the time - from the website I was told about on payment day (event day).

The inside was nice and cool on a hot day, and the outside had shades that made it easy to play and view the screens too. The set up and service was top notch. Staff was super professional. And cost wise it's about what you'd pay for any bday bash service like Lazer tag, petting zoo, etc. highly recommend!

Damn.. didn't think I'd have to do this. Ive given this place so much business over the past couple…read moremonths and the amount of money I've spent here at their store and their vendors is crazy and even referred a bunch of people here too. I guess one of the down sides is I just trust this place too much with their cards out on display no signs of LP, MP, or HP. Picked out a bunch of single cards & I noticed after the purchase, as I'm putting the cards in the top loaders, that one card was severely damaged in the back and top corner bent like a mf. 30 dollar card nothing crazy. I just simply asked if I can just get another 30 dollar card. Nope I couldn't do that. Keep in mind I haven't even left the store yet. The only thing they can do is give me 22 dollars cash. Like 8 dollars is not a big deal but it's the principle.. on top of that I went there on my lunch break had 1 hour, spent my entire hour there. First person to walk in and everyone that came in after me got the help they needed first after asking nicely if I can get some cards, I was the last one out. This experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and I'm writing this hoping others don't receive the same treatment. Probably won't come back Paper Hero Games on Burbank, friendly staff. GREAT prices.

AVOID this business…read more First red flag: the storefront looked abandoned, like it had been through an earthquake. I should have walked out immediately, but I didn't--and that mistake cost me. My PS5 fan connector broke and needed to be re-soldered to the motherboard. The owner said he'd diagnose it for $30 and let me know if he could fix it. A few hours later, he called back and told me he had already "fixed" the console--but now the fan would be "a little louder." Huge red flag. Any professional would update the customer and get approval before moving forward with an unorthodox repair. While my PlayStation technically works, the fan now runs at full speed and sounds like a vacuum cleaner--unbearably loud. With how hard the fan is spinning, I seriously doubt the console's longevity. When I called to ask for an explanation, I got a vague half-answer and was told to "just turn up the TV volume" to drown out the noise. Absolutely ridiculous advice. I've attached a photo and video for proof. Curious about what was done, I opened the console and found a sloppy, makeshift repair and a note taped inside in Sharpie that read "do not open." Unbelievable. On top of that, I'm pretty sure they deleted a save file from a game I had poured hundreds of hours into. For the record, I'm not a "Karen." I support small businesses that do quality work and communicate honestly. But if a repair can't be done without major tradeoffs, tell me upfront so I can make my own decision. Avoid this place. Find a reputable electronics repair shop instead. Edit: If you want a preview of the kind of person you'll be dealing with, read the owner's response to negative reviews--full of name-calling, excuses, and petty deflection.

I've had a disappointing experience here at Videomen and have been holding off on writing my review…read moreuntil now. I took my childhood Nintendo DS Lite to Videomen to get the top screen fixed as it was broken. I've been waiting for years to get the screen fixed and was excited to finally see it happen. When I came to pickup my DS, I noticed there was a popped pixel on the new screen. I told the guy who was working there who I think is the owner that there is a popped pixel and if he could install a new screen. He said he couldn't do that and all replacement screens have popped pixels. I ended up paying and still have a defective screen. I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

This place has a really vast selection it's pretty much a warehouse for video games and the like!…read moreIt's pretty organized and they even have these handy lists that are updated with prices for games, accessories , etc for each console... whether it's GBS, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo... they have so much in store! Lots of new gear too posted on their IG when they get it. Talked to a couple people there too who were pretty friendly and helpful in answering our questions. Everyone working here was always offering to help answer any questions which is nice. Very approachable. They also list the prices at which they buy too which is nice. I will be coming back here for my video game needs !

Absolutely AWFUL customer service…read more I stopped by Game Dude around 6:40 PM because I wanted to sell some games. The first employee immediately looked at me, and with a pretty obvious attitude said, "We only buy games before 6:30." Okay... how exactly was I supposed to know that? There was no prior reason for me to know their cutoff time, and it could have easily been communicated in a much more professional and respectful way. I decided not to make a big deal out of it and figured I'd browse the store and maybe buy something instead. Another employee asked if I needed help, and I told him I was just browsing. A little later, I asked him about some of the games on the wall and whether they were used. He said yes. I then asked what the games typically cost, expecting a simple answer from someone who works there. Instead, I was told, "You can just go check the sheet on the side to see what the games are worth." Seriously? I'm a customer asking a basic question about your store's inventory and pricing. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm bothering employees by asking for information. There's a huge difference between being busy and simply having poor customer service. It's absolutely no one's fault that most of you are virgins. Anywho, I walked in willing to sell some games and potentially spend money, and I walked out thinking, I'll take my business somewhere else. The video game selection may be decent, but customer service matters. If this is how customers are treated when they walk through the door, I can't recommend this place. Don't waste your time with these jerkoffs.
