Huge game store with lots of items including movies. Game prices are listed on printed packets, so the prices could fluctuate. This definitely gives off business vibes instead of the more common enthusiast vibe a small retro game store would give. However, the employees were great and I did not feel unwelcomed or a bother when I asked questions or to look at a game. The games are all on shelves behind the counter so I agree it could be hard to see.

My experience with Game Dude was extremely negative. I believe their business practices are dishonest and exploitative toward customers. If you plan to sell a console or a video game there, be very careful: they even charge you just to inspect your items and offer ridiculously low amounts for products that are in excellent condition. For example, they offered only $70 for a console and then claimed it had scratches to deduct more money. If you decide not to sell, they still charge a $15 "inspection fee", which is completely unreasonable. Their pricing margins are outrageous: a game that sells new for $70 might be bought from you for only $2, and then resold at nearly full price. In short, their valuation and buying practices are opaque and clearly designed to take advantage of customers. I strongly recommend not buying or selling at Game Dude. Platforms like eBay or other resale sites offer fairer and more transparent deals. Avoid this place if you value your money and your time.

This place is amazing if you love retro games, and movies. The warehouse is pretty big, and so much stuff in here, that it's hard to concentrate on one area. They have everything from the last 50 years of video games all the way up to PS5 and Switch 2. New games and used. Some with boxes and some just cartridges. They have accessories for all systems, and even sell pretty much any console you're looking for. No matter what your budget, you'll find something here, from $1 all the way up to thousands for super rare games. The only drawback here is that everything is either behind glass (don't lean on glass) or behind the cabinets on shelves and only accessible by an employee. They do have paper lists of all games for all systems with prices, so you can search for what you want and ask an employee to get it for you. I had a lot of fun feeling nostalgic and spending a good 90 minutes in here, and walked out with 9 games for different consoles. They also have a rewards program.

DECENT TRADE IN VALUES! No hassling aloud and they want your decision on spot so know that. Big store too!

The first time I went here was when I was a teenager to sell some Wii games. I think I got a good deal for them. Recently, I've been going here the past 4 weeks to buy skylanders since I've been feeling nostalgic. I thought that I was getting them for a good price, each Spyro's Adventure figure is $3, each giant from Giants is $6, and each swapper from Swap Force is $8. It turns out that other retro game stores, not in LA, sell skylanders from Spyro's Adventure and Giants for $0.15 and $0.25. The Spyro's Adventure and Giants figures are supposed to be common so you'd think that they'd charge less. I know that retro game stores need to turn a profit, but they have a lot of stock. All the skylanders aren't shown through the shelves because the employees haven't gotten around to placing them there or there isn't enough space so it would make sense to sell the skylanders at a cheaper price. I wanted to sell some extra skylanders I had. Because the store was short staffed, I had to wait 40 minutes or so. When they got to me, I was told that they could only buy one for $0.50 since it's from Trap Team and it was in the starter pack. They already had enough of the others.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, many years ago. It's always been a great spot for classic video games at a reasonable price. They also sell DVDs and Blu-rays. I picked up my entire Dragon Ball Super collection (all seasons) for about $40, which is a pretty good deal. The only issue is the communication, when you call, you often get different information than when you visit the store. This can be frustrating, especially when you drive over based on what you were told on the phone, only to find out things are different when you arrive. I've run into this most often when trying to sell stuff, like when I tried to sell my PS2. But aside from the inconsistent communication, this place has pretty much everything you need and more. It's straightforward, and I'm looking forward to their Black Friday sales.

Had a good experience here before. I have only written a handful of bad reviews in my life, and I do so with great discretion. I don't care how busy you are, or how bad your day is, you should never talk down to a customer. Grumpy I can tolerate. This was next level. It was busy, so we asked for help and made sure they understood that we were in no hurry, and to take their time. It's Easter weekend and it was busy. Dorian snapped at us twice, the most rude customer service I've experienced in a decade. We tried to shake it off and diffuse the situation by letting him know that we didn't want any trouble, and reminded him that we would have waited as long as it took to be helped. No apology. Passive aggressive and derogatory. Brian took over after seeing how agitated Dorian was with us. I sincerely appreciate his willingness to help out and apologize for the inconvenience. Brian really is a kind representative. A little patience goes a long way with us. We've both worked in hectic and chaotic jobs for years. I know how stressful it is. Please be respectful and polite, as you'd like to be treated.

The game coaches were excellent and their professionalism, service and cleanliness were top notch. Guests absolutely loved the snow cone machine (8 flavors) and were served by the game truck team. They provided about 8 chairs for exterior gaming. On a hot day, I suggest putting up canopies for the "extras" you may order from them, plus guests (parents) who might want to hang near the truck. GameTruck: The truck/trailer needs at least 3 car lengths of space in front of a residence. Game selection was excellent across all platforms and satisfied 6yo - 14yo players. Cool mood-setting RGB lighting in the interior. Clean and excellent condition physical space and hardware. Mixed feedback from guests about the A/C but my b-day boy said he was perfectly cool. Service Acquisition: Business was conducted 100% over the phone. Told owner that my discovery and background knowledge was via Yelp. As such, service area limitation premiums $$ and travel fees were not referenced nor communicated in the procurement conversation. The business educated me about them after invoice was provided. Please ask for the distances as they differed - at the time - from the website I was told about on payment day (event day).

My husbands PS5 was getting stuck on a black screen after saying it would restart after "repairing…read moreconsole storage". We went to geeksquad first, which apparently no longer sends out consoles to Sony for repair. And then we went to GameStop, where we were told that they do not do repairs either. But the workers at GameStop highly recommended Videomen. That is how we came to know about this location. I came to Videomen with my husband after calling and explaining the issue that we were having with my husbands ps5 slim. My husbands first impression was very pessimistic, simply because the location looks like it hasn't been updated in years. We went in and met Tai. Tai is the only one working in the store. I believe it is his location. He explained he would try his best to fix the issue, and quoted us a price for the repair. He said if he wasn't able to fix the console, he would only charge $25 for his time, which we found very reasonable. Tai told us to give him a call in hour for a report on his progress. We left and my husband was still very doubtful, saying the store was empty, and outdated. I told my husband that it looked like Tai and the Videomen location had been there for more than 20 years, working to repair electronics. I told him, I put my faith in him much more than a kid working part time in a newer store. After an hour we called again at 5:00pm, well past the store closing time. But Tai answered the phone to let us know that he was still working to solve the issue and would need more time. We understood and agreed to give him another call back in an hour. Tai ended up giving us a call around 6:00pm letting us know the console was up and running perfectly again! He asked if we wanted to pick up tonight or tomorrow. I let Tai know we were about 25 minutes according to GPS and he agreed to wait for us to pick the console up from his store. When we arrived Tai was very communicative. He connected the ps5 for a monitor to show us that the console was up and running smoothly before he explained all he had done to repair the console, and the likely reason it failed to work in the first place. He told us he let the console run for about 45 minutes to make sure the issue didn't arise again. And literally explained everything we needed to know to prevent the issue from ever happening again. Now, My husband is in a much better mood since we have received the working PS5 back from Tai. And we 100% recommend him to anyone and everyone in need of an electronic repair. I definitely recommend calling beforehand to speak to Tai, verifying that he will be in the store. And to communicate the item you need repaired plus the issues you are having with it. It's very rare to see a mom and pop shop still standing, and I am happy I was able to support this gem in my community. We will definitely return for any future repairs our family may need, And will proudly refer Tai at Videomen to anyone looking to repair their gaming console.

I took my childhood Nintendo DS Lite to Videomen to get the top screen fixed as it was broken. I've been waiting for years to get the screen fixed and was excited to finally see it happen. I told the guy who was working there who I think is the owner that there is a popped pixel and if he could install a new screen. He said he couldn't do that and all replacement screens have popped pixels. I ended up paying and still have a defective screen. I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.
