Such a great video game and collector store! It's very clean and super organize with games of past, present and future. I was in awe at how much they had, including so many cool N64 consoles, among everything else! I'm most a Switch (Nintendo) gamer these days (Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Mario), but also dabble in Playstation and XBox from time to time. It's a gamer friendly household lol. The guy in front was one of the kindest souls and let me know that whatever I wanted to look at, inquiry about or purchase he was there to help. Definitely will be supporting this small local shop in the very short future, but mostly just came in to see, as I had never been in and don't live too far away. LA V.G. opens at 11AM everyday so I sometimes miss them on my way to the post office (at the corner) or to the grocery store (as I tend to go early early), but they're also open until 7PM... insert devilish emoji and credit card here lol A friend of the gent on duty/regular customer was talking trading cards and tournaments with the guy in front. I don't know if they have a back area for things like this, but I would definitely come support and spectate. My personal card collection is super low these days. They do have a single arcade machine inside with their logo/stickers on front. I believe it was Tekken!! I'd say it's fair in price, especially for some many rare things. Parking is very limited in this strip mall plaza off Magnolia Blvd (and Kester Avenue). You'll spot LA Video Games behind Pico Pica Rico (restaurant). Great place to expand your gaming hobbies, collect fun finds or score gifts for people you know will enjoy! #GameOn

I picked up this beautiful Link design gameboy advanced from them but really wanted a better screen and backlight. Game on! Abel and Romeo are the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable folks in the business. Every time we come into this shop, we are greeted and feel at home. We are kind of choosy collectors. They don't mind opening up a case or answering questions. Super patient. Compliments for the impeccably clean, well organized and dust free environment. The merchandise is treated and displayed with care and respect. Seriously, major points. A lot of game shops have their vintage games shoved in disheveled tubs and they're clearly not collector friendly. Not only do they have their own supply of games and consoles, but they offer cabinet space to vendors to support local businesses. They do all they can to support the community. Top notch, guys! I don't know why this place has 5 stars, I went in to trade in some ps3, ps4 titles and they are strict on games being PRISTINE CONDITION! Mine come complete had some minor dust dirt and they didnt take any of my lot. Game dude far better when it comes to taking trade ins. Also store is very tiny. Unprofessional wanted me to count my own change to make sure it's right one worker going back and forth with me and someone else while I was trying to buy while the other worker was just watching instead of helping the other customer they don't have counterfeit money detectors or pens didn't take one of the bills I had because it was a older 2000s bill and didn't tell me till after the transaction was completed and after they already gave me change and the game even tho they had it in their hand for a good while and could have said something before the transaction was done read more

Came in to sell/offload some games. Where some stores were offering 5 cents for some games. They offered me much more. The service that Omar the manager gave was 2nd to none. The pricing they have on their items are very fair too, compared to some big stores that charge 3x the price on what an item should be worth. read more

5/5 stars for every reason. Brought in 2x games & 2x controllers. Abel was super cool and clear about pricing and I was able to hang out in his very clean store while he assessed the value. Felt like walking into a perfect time capsule. If you love vintage/retro/past/current/modern/future, this guy knew his stuff. We managed to pull a Rare (Mizora) and a Rare (Halsin) which was really cool from just buying two packs. They have other cool merch like pokemon, final fantasy, dnd, and even some anime stuff. Do not walk, RUN to this cool new store!…read more I set foot into this new and pre-owned gamer lifestyle shop looking for last-minute Christmas gifts (shame on me). I'm proud to report that GeekyGlamorous has something for every geek and gamer in your life! The beautiful blue corner store stood out on this specific stretch of shops on Burbank Blvd. I was there for one of their Christmas deals: a mug, pair of socks, and candy gift set all wrapped up with a gift tag for $25! Such a great value, I bought way more than one. Inside you are greeted by toys, clothes, trinkets, tchotchkes, knicknacks, baubles, stickers, and doodads themed from your favorite anime, comics, and video games. Even GeekyGlamorous-branded pins, stickers, necklaces, and bracelets. There's also blind box figures, posters, calendars... Some items are pre-owned, most are new from reputable vendors like BioWorld who specialize in licensed merch. Although this is not the biggest space, but the layout is really well-thought out and makes the store feel large. Mrs. GeekyGlamorous, the store owner, was there when I visited. She is a saint to entertain all of my annoying questions and is super friendly and personable. At no point did I feel pressured or like I was being sold something. I dug her aesthetic choices like the table comprised of Super Famicon game cartridges. Fun Fact: Super Famicon cartridges are cheaper than SNES cartridges... or the table where the POS system is has loads of memorabilia and ephemera under the glass. There will be rotating pop-up shops monthly-- right now for instance in December '24 there's a setup from Dispel Dice. There will also be community events like game nights held at the shop, too. I'm stoked for this new store, it's like an indie Expo or Comic Con!

I was slightly disappointed after visiting for their Black Friday deals. They promised 100 doorbuster deals, but that turned out to be far from true. This video game store, located in the heart of SFV, is a pretty cool place if you're into games. The staff is great, always friendly and kind. However, there are over 10 other game stores within a 10-mile radius, and the prices here are consistently higher than any of those. For Black Friday, they offered 35% off, which seemed like a good deal, but their prices were still much higher to begin with. For example, a GameCube here costs $180, and with the 35% discount, it came down to about $120. But down the street at Retrorespawn, a GameCube was $100, and on Black Friday, they had a 25% discount, so you could grab one for $75. See the difference? Overall, my Black Friday experience here left a bad taste. I was number 11 in line (you can spot me in their video wearing a Megadeth shirt). When I entered the store at number 11, most of the doorbuster deals were already gone. How is that possible if there were 100 items per store and only 10 had been taken before me? And everyone is limited to just 1 doorbuster deal. Plus, I didn't see any Switch Lites, which I had hoped to get for $30. I saw everyone's doorbuster pick and none of them had the switch so where is it? The deals did not seemed to add up. What really threw me off was that they let someone in before the doors even opened, and we all saw him walk out with bags of stuff. We were all wondering how that was allowed. By the time I got in, I only managed to snag a Joy-Con for $20, which was a good deal, but I definitely didn't see the 100 items they promised. Something didn't add up, and it left me feeling like I wasted my time. I'd recommend checking out other game stores before buying here. Amazing service!!! Every worker I've met had been great man!! The vibe make it feel like I've know these gentlemen for years literally feel like I'm visiting friends out for some game time!! These guys always take care of me answer all my questions and let me hangout!!! I drive from about 2hrs out and let me tell you it every bit worth it man!! I heard about a New video game store coming to this area from a friend and Idk what I expected but when I walked in.. I WISH this was a bigger store.!!! You can test out games and buy some super cool Merchandise, the T shirts are sooo awesome..!!! You literally don't find this stuff anywhere around here. The coolest thing is, that WE AS GAMERS can sell our own collectibles for other people to enjoy.!!!! This store is literally letting us create our own gaming business.!!!!! Guys CHECK IT OUT ASAP.!!! I went to Retro Respawn and they gave me the most ridiculous price and I came to LA video games before giving my price he already met where I wanted. Even gave me a couple legos as I made the trades. This place has the worst parkin ever, and not very friendly staff. Prices are ridiculously high, and they seem to be miserable at doing their jobs. It's a shame because I was expecting a much better experience. Go to Game Tower or Game Dude. Those two stores are WAY better. Game Dude prices seem to be more reasonable, unlike this place. read more
