So this is one of the few card shops that has a lot of yugioh products. They do tournaments as well as sneak peaks. I've been to a sneak peek and it was packed. Great store if your picking up single cards and boxes prices aren't to bad. As far as customer service the owner seems to not really ask the customer if we need help with anything. I would ask him if he had certain packs or card and he would always sound either irritated or pissed. He also has a son who likes to go around and see if people sell in the store. He always tries to ban people at the store. If this place had good customer service and felt welcoming I would give it a five star. read more

This place is way better than Crazy Fred's. They have magic, yugioh and a bunch Of other tcg, plus it has video games and it actually has people to help you instead of having to wait for so long. Gamezone $30 for a fatpack after tax. Fatpacks everywhere else $46 I recommend asking for David for magic stuff. I've been here many times and only had one experience where I wasn't satisfied with the service but it was understandable. At Crazy Fred's he is 4 for 4 at giving me a bad experience and he is the reason why I made a yelp account to complain him. read more

They have great prices don't get me wrong. However, every single time I have come here they have not been open on time. Today i came late intentionally and arrived after 11:30, store is still not open. Here i am excited to open some new cards and nothing but dissapointment. It is now 12pm as i write this review.....still not open. Seriously just change your hours or put up a sign. I tried calling in advance because I know this business owner has trouble operating their store. All I got was a busy signal, so I thought "yay they are open!" Wrong they just dont have the decency to set up a recorded message. If just one of the times I came here they were open at 11am I would have spared them this review. But enough is enough, if one of my employees was this chronically late they would need a new job. People need to know before they drive all the way out to lemon grove that the place might not even be open. read more

Great Shop love there Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments. Also they have great prices and almost always have the cards you are looking for.Have amazing customer service most of the time when I go I'm helped by the owner's wife or son Richie both super nice to me and very welcoming would definitely recommend the shop to all future customers and friends. read more

The best place to buy magic cards in San Diego! Only 99 bucks for a booster box out the door. Are you kidding me. Cheaper than most websites. And on top of everything else the staff is really knowledgeable and won't up the price just because the box is a hot item. read more

Def an awesome place for everything from: magic, yugioh, Pokemon, action figures, sports memorabilia, etc. it literally has so much of everything which is awesome. Def a place to play yugioh. I personally haven't played in the back yet but every time I go there it's pack but not pack to the point it's uncomfortable. If your an avid yugioh player this is the store for you. read more

Great place to buy secret rares and ultra rare cards for the Pokemon TCG. I have a decent collection of PKMN cards after buying a Secret Rare Gold Mewtwo and Full Art Gold Dragonite. A decent store for me. read more

Great place to buy ANY YUGIOH CARD BUT bad customer service featuring the owners grown children. They will threaten to kick you out for standing up to their rude behaviors with other customers. They base their morals of off who's the owners sons and who's just a mere customer. Was wrongfully banned from this shop yesterday. Earlier this month I posted a very generous review because of the service and friendliness of the shop owners. But that changed when they were hostile to my friend and I for sitting in his car outside the shop watching YouTube videos. Apparently it's illegal to hang outside with people without them assuming you're selling cards to each other? And for them to not even listen to our sides of the story and just auto ban us, when we've been regulars there for a good long while and have been very high investors in the shop, that's very questionable on their part. Also, Don't befriend the owners son Richie, he is very disrespectful and cheats you when you trade with him. He goes around and makes fun of other players for not knowing their stuff about a game, and insults them right in front of everyone. He abuses power way too much. And I thought this shop had the cheapest and best prices but turns out even Walmart has more value. Came here for a premium gold box for Yugioh at $20 then went to Walmart and saw the same box for $13. And if you want to buy card singles, buy them online, because having the patience is better than the service here. read more

Great pries on singles and cards for Pokemon, Magic, and Yuh Gi Oh. I only ever see the Dad up front working. They could be a bit warmer from a customer service standpoint, but they're not rude. They just don't talk very much. read more

I have been coming to this store since i was a kid. I now have a son of my own and when he starts getting into card games this will be the first place I bring him to start his collection! I went into Game Zone the other day looking for a birthday present for my son. He is really big into Anime and Comic books. However after looking at the Japanese import toys I realized that they were all cheap knock off figures. I have looked these same particular figures up online and have found several sites where they point out what the difference between the real and fake ones are. Compared to the price of the real ones, the fake ones are 1/2 the price but look cheaply made and horrible. Definitely not worth the price they are asking. Besides that my 12 year old is smart enough to know the difference without having to do any of the research I had to do. After seeing that I would never go back to Game Zone because you never know what you are going to get. read more

My brother and I have been coming here for Magic the Gathering drafts about 4 times now, and it has been a great experience for us. Some reviews that i've read in the past talked about their lack of customer service, but they must have changed something because every time i've been there they are always very helpful (Also the kid that you might have read about has grown up, and is very kind now.) We are both somewhat new to non-dining room Magic, this mom n' pop card shop makes us feel right at home. Another thing that earned this store 5 stars is that their prices are the BEST in San Diego. The drafts are $10, and 1 pack per player who entered in the prize pool, so in an 8 person draft, it's 4 packs for 1st place, 2 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd and 4th. And they sell booster boxes for $99. (they also don't annoyingly charge taxes, so what you see on the price tag is what you're gonna pay.) The only problem this store has is that they are not very well known compared to other game stores in San Diego, which is a shame because this place is great. I will definitely continue going there as my main card store. read more
