Opening your first account should be a positive experience, especially when your family has been loyal Navy Federal members and recommended the credit union to you. What bothered me most was the lack of interest in helping us. We did not walk in expecting special treatment, we simply expected basic customer service, communication, and assistance. Instead, we walked out feeling as though our business was not valued. I have other children who will eventually need accounts opened, and after this experience, I will absolutely NOT bring them to the Ontario branch. I would rather make the drive to San Bernardino, where we have consistently been treated with professionalism and respect. Navy Federal has always set a higher standard in my experience, but unfortunately, the Ontario location did not come close to meeting it. So yes, Logix ultimately agreed that the charge was wrong. That does not change how poorly the dispute was handled or how much time and effort it took to get a basic problem resolved.
