I quickly grabbed a couple of items at Gandolfo's this afternoon. It was everything you'd expect from a NYC type deli. The sandwiches were good. The pastrami doesn't seem made in-house which is disappointing. I feel like that cuts a lot of corners. Also, seems like they warm up sandwiches either on the grill or in a microwave. Not a lot of things being made from scratch. Do they make their bread in-house? Doubtful. Do they make anything in-house? Doubtful. I wish they would do some of these things. That's how you get five stars from me.

So my wife told me I needed to try this place as well as some family members. I loved my breakfast sandwich. It tasted amazing. Usually, the food is decently quick to come out (I've been 3 times in the space of 1 week already). Everyone was nice, and I loved the news segments and sports clippings from over the years. Be aware if you get this sandwich, the seeds go everywhere.

Pros: * Clever branding-everything is very "New York" * Location-easy access, plenty of parking * Massive selection of menu items-much more than sandwiches * Friendly service-the young man taking our order was terrific Cons: * Dirty store-sticky cabinets under the soda fountain * Napkins not near straws and condiments-had to go search for them by the cashier * Dry bread (I took off the top, it was that bad * Wilted lettuce-had to pick out several pieces that had gone bad

Can we all just agree that Gandolfos has the best sandwiches in the state?? And they have been making them for decades! I have never been let down by a sandwich at Gandi's. Everything from the urban cowboy to the buffalo bill is amazing. And don't even get me started on the breakfast sandwiches! Legit breakfast sandwiches made hot all day long. I crave the Eastport daily. I love this place. I have introduced lots of friends to this place and they all agree. Gandi's is the best for sandwiches, hands down.

Step inside and you will find a beautifully decorated space with an open kitchen greeting you at the entrance and a staff that is genuinely enthusiastic about the food they are serving. Ocotillo specializes in the cuisine of Sonora, Mexico, a region known for bold meat and seafood dishes. They also offer a daily brunch menu that is worth planning your weekend around. We ordered the tres leches pancakes, a triple stack that delivers exactly what the name promises. Bathed in a three milk mixture and topped with fresh berries and whipped cream, moist but not to sweet. The Sonorense combination was equally impressive. Arrachera steak strips, chilaquiles made with poblano chile, a tamal de elote, and two eggs. The arrachera was excellent and the chilaquiles were crispy, which is exactly how they should be and not something every kitchen gets right. The menu is long enough that choosing something different next time will be a genuine challenge. Omelettes, chilaquiles, brioches, and other specialties give you plenty of reasons to return. We are already looking forward to exploring the lunch and dinner menu. Slightly more expensive than a standard breakfast spot, but the generous portions and the quality of the ingredients justify every dollar. Five stars without hesitation.

There was no wait to be seated, which was a great start, and we were looking forward to a relaxing breakfast together. Unfortunately, the experience steadily declined from there. After being seated, it took several minutes before anyone came to our table. When our server arrived, she offered coffee, which we accepted, but we were never offered water. I noticed that nearly every other table around us received both coffee and water automatically, so that stood out. When our food arrived, my eggs were significantly overcooked and had to be remade. While mistakes happen and I certainly understand that, it added additional wait time to the meal. Throughout breakfast, service felt very inattentive. We had to request extra napkins, ask for coffee and water refills ourselves, and rarely saw our server check on the table. One thing that really surprised us was that she brought our check while we were still eating. I've dined at many restaurants, including First Watch, and it's unusual to receive the bill halfway through the meal rather than after you're finished. After Bill was placed on the table, we didn't see our server again. The final disappointment came after we had finished eating. We stayed for a few minutes talking, and when we were ready to leave with our leftovers, we waited approximately 20 minutes without seeing our server. I finally had to find another waitress just to get a takeout box. Individually, none of these issues would have been a major concern. However, when you combine them all together, it resulted in a disappointing overall experience from beginning to end. I realize our server may have been new, and I truly don't enjoy criticizing someone who is learning. My intent isn't to get anyone in trouble. Rather, I wanted management to understand why what should have been an enjoyable breakfast with my daughter turned into an experience that left us questioning whether we'll return.

The vibe when you walk in is super cool, and the employees are always friendly. They give great recommendations, and sometimes they'll even make their own favorite drink that's not on the menu. It's definitely a busy spot, there are always people there, even on weekdays with WFH people working at the tables. Weekends (and even Sundays) get pretty packed, but it makes sense. Their coffee is always solid and the food is good for a coffee shop. My go-to drinks are the Smilin' Hawaiian or the caramel blondie. For food, I love their breakfast BAE (bacon, avocado, egg) sandwich on the jalapeño cheddar bagel, so good! Just make sure they've got ripe avocados because that makes all the difference

It was so packed inside, I've never seen that many people in a coffee shop. It took me about 15 minutes to finally find a spot at a table and luckily only a couple of people showed up to meet. We had a really great time though and the vibes are so good here. Everyone I interacted with from customers to the baristas were awesome. I ordered a tea called katara and it was amazing. It was kind of fruity, but just so full of flavor and didn't taste watered down at all. Once it was ready they brought it out which was impressive because of how busy it was, they still kept track of where I was which I appreciated. Overall, good vibes, good drinks, and great baristas.
