Been going to Gandolfo's for decades. I keep going back because it's like "cheers" where everyone knows your name. The sandwich I like the most is roast beef and since it's deli style the bread, oil and vinegar, and sauces make the sandwich authentic (to me). When a DoorDash order comes in, it should be treated like the customer is in the restaurant ordering. "30 minutes to hand-off to dasher" and dasher had to wait in store for a long time. It's not ok. I quickly grabbed a couple of items at Gandolfo's this afternoon. It was everything you'd expect from a NYC type deli. The sandwiches were good. The pastrami doesn't seem made in-house which is disappointing. I feel like that cuts a lot of corners. Also, seems like they warm up sandwiches either on the grill or in a microwave. Not a lot of things being made from scratch. Do they make their bread in-house? Doubtful. Do they make anything in-house? Doubtful. I wish they would do some of these things. So my wife told me I needed to try this place as well as some family members. I loved my breakfast sandwich. It tasted amazing. Usually, the food is decently quick to come out (I've been 3 times in the space of 1 week already). Everyone was nice, and I loved the news segments and sports clippings from over the years. Good old Gandys is always there for my breakfast needs. It was my brother sister bonding time growing up and the sandwiches taste the same as they did 10 years ago (to my recollection). My go to is The Crew cause you can't go wrong with bacon AND sausage. They have breakfast all day which is seriously amazing because it is the best meal of the day and the quality of their food is top notch. 0/5 if I could. It was our first time trying this deli and it was a 20+ minute wait for two bagel sandwiches. We had sat in a booth then a worker came up and said "we're reserving this for a party, so please sit somewhere else". It's a walk-in deli and they closed off half the deli on Christmas Eve weekend. After waiting for our food, we were forced to eat in our car because of the seating nightmare - they forgot the grape jelly on a sausage, American cheese and grape jelly bagel sandwich. Not worth going back in to wait and stand because we can't sit down so we left. Unfortunately, wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

Bomb a** restaurant. Nice a** staff. They take my order, and they give me a sandwich that's better than any of the local chains. Is the bread made in house? Probably not. Did they slaughter and butcher a pig in the back for their pastrami? Also probably not. But hey, you'd have to be some snobby New Yorker sucking crap right out of a sweaty almost-Italian guy (who claims to be full Italian) to really care about any of that. Also the atmosphere is fun. Alright sandwich place. Not the best but could be a little more generous with the meat. I had a Rueben sandwich but it had very little meat on it. It was a half size with pieces here and there of meat. Delicious tasting. They do take phone orders. But may not have it ready when you arrive. read more

If you want the best sandwiches in town this is the place to go! They have a wide variety of cold and hot sandwiches. The breakfast sandwiches, oh my hell are the best things I have ever had. I will go fishing and camping down at Utah lake. I will get the Dagwood for dinner which is huge and I can usually eat some for lunch the next day! I will get the crew to save for breakfast. The restaurant in American Fork was filthy when we visited. After we ordered we noticed that every table was dirty and needed to be wiped down. We asked if they could clean the tables and was told by the employee that was helping us that they were too busy! In addition to the employee helping us, there were 4 other employees laughing and joking by the grill. We were the only customers in the restaurant but they were too busy to wipe down the tables. The men's room was disgusting. Trash overflowing, toilet and sink soiled dirty. The floors in the dining room were disgusting with food and debris all over under tables. The fountain machine and condiment rack was disgusting clearly had not been cleaned in who knows how long. I am attaching just a few pictures leaving some of the most poor conditions off. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. We reached out to franchise owner via email to express our concerns and he (or an auto reply) immediately responded thanks and saying he would address it. I have previously had good experiences at this deli so this was extremely disappointing. In my mind, they need more engaged management. I appreciate the owner contacting us immediately about our concern. The food was good as usual it was the cleanliness of this location that was disappointing. Because of his response we will give this location another chance. read more

Just an OK sandwich shop. We were the only ones in the store and it took 3 workers much too long to make our meal. The food was just average as well. I can get a better sandwich meal with an added cookie for cheaper at Jimmy Johns. It just isn't worth the money. The sandwich also seemed poorly made (see photo). Love Gandy's! The chocolate cake is amazing! They serve breakfast all day. I don't like their Kaiser Rolls, which is what most of the breakfast sandwiches come on, but I just want ask for it on a bagel. They take call-in orders, and even advertise so on their door, but even if you don't call in, they are usually still pretty fast! Get the Radio City or Manorville, both good, great on bagels! 4 stars because every time I get lunch sandwiches the bread is dry, avocados are brown, etc, but breakfast here is always amazing!
