I've dreamt about coming back to Utah for the Village Baker turkey cranberry sandwich! It is, by far, the best turkey sandwich I've ever had save for those made by my mother when I was a wee girl. Order the honey wheat, turkey, cranberry, cream cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato and onion. I can eat half. Their bread and turkey are the absolute best with freshness and flavor. I really like this place. I'll definitely be back. The ambience is casual but nice. It was totally packed so that tells you it's good. The chocolate chip cookie was just OK. We came to this place right before we head out back home to Arizona. We wanted a place that was versatile and had many options for our group. I will say it was so so ...the menu is very basic which is okay but then the bread for the sandwiches are way too robust ... I got a grilled cheese with sourdough and the bread is just odd.... I will say soup was good I got chicken noodle and mom got broccoli cheddar . Cute vibe just feels like it was kinda missed . Food was great! $5 for a very small soup kinda blew my mind but I was here to experience it so I was willing to do it once. I got a BLT on rye and broccoli cheddar soup. Soup was ok, not something I get again but the sandwich was delicious!!! I'd totally get it again and a whole sandwich instead. I tried the banana pudding and it was pretty good. Cinnamon & orange rolls were delicious too. Place was clean, workers were nice and I'd definitely come back to try more. read more

We envisioned lots a freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes, and tarts on display, but were disappointed in that we only found a small selection of prepackaged pastries and bread. I brought my mother-in-law to Village Baker, because food is consistently good across all the Village Baker franchises. We ordered a turkey club and especially of the month pizza. The bread is always good. Isn't that what they're famous for? There were plenty of toppings in the sandwich. We were very pleased with our food. It was delicious. My problem was this: our table was dirty, with some dried sauce on it. No problem, I pulled a disinfectant wipe out of my purse. As I started to wipe off the table, I realized that the wipe was turning black. The table was filthy. It made me wonder what they were using to wipe off the tables? We were there pretty early for lunch, sometime between 11 and 11:30. The lunch rush hadn't started yet. But it was well underway when we finished. Village baker is a guilty pleasure big time. Their honey white bread should be illegal it's so good. I love to get their roast beef half sandwich with a cup or broccoli cheese soup. My kids love their pizza. I am not a huge pizza lover but I've tasted it and it is pretty dang good. The crust is the best part, the dough is amazing. I work from home but when I go into the office this is my automatic go-to for lunch. The soup (I have to get a bowl because the cup is quite small for me, and I am a small person) comes with bread item, I get a lovely white roll or a piece of bread, is to die for and the sandwiches are amazing! My favorites, you ask? I love the cranberry, cream cheese, turkey on white sandwich, plus also I add cucumbers! OMG! I love both the broccoli soup and the wild rice, both delightful. Last week I tried the banana cake but have never gone wrong with their treats. Their white cake with raspberry frosting and their lemon bars are both really good and I am going to try their red velvet cake next! Great food and portion sizes. Seems to have gotten really popular. Big crowds tonight. We ordered takeout and it was set to be ready at 6:10. The pizza was ready when I got there at 6:10. Just walked about at 6:50 with the rest of my order (1 sandwich, 1 salad, and 1 soup.) The wait was pretty bad. Might have been a one off but just cautioning against that and offering advice to push expected wait times. I'd recommend the combos. I love Village Baker! The best things are their house made breads, salads and cakes, but don't forget about their soup and bread bowls or the pizza! Whenever I need to eat out but don't want to feel gross afterwards, this is my go to option. The half sandwich is HUGE and each slice of bread could easily pass as two. Go for a half salad half sandwich and be ready to take some of your food to go since they give you such generous portions. The honey whole wheat is my favorite bread and we're big fans of the turkey cranberry sandwich and the strawberry salad. I recently tried their pizza on a whim and it was really, really good! I want to try more flavors. I'm not a huge fan of their cookies, but their cakes are top notch. I would not get a kids meal because I feel like they don't give you enough for the money. Yummmmmm. This place was tasty! A few months ago my co worker brought us Turkey cranberry sandwiches for lunch at work. It was amazing and I knew after that I needed to bring my family here. We came by on a Saturday during lunch time. The restaurant was full but not too full. We ordered our food and found a seat. I had half a chef salad & turkey cranberry sandwich. It was HUGE and again so yummy. My husband had a the turkey avocado sandwich and chicken soup so we could give the soup to our toddler. As we speak he is drooling over the thought of that Sandwich. Our daughter liked the soup, however I didn't think it was great the soup tasted like it was made in the morning and sat in the bowl all day. I hate ended on that bummer. The soup is my reason for 4/5 stars. We will eat here again. read more

KBars have been a yummy staple for years and were delicious as always. Lemon bar is repeatedly disappointing - if they use real lemon juice they need to use more but my suspicion is they use a lemon flavor instead. The bar is good but the lack of clean real lemon leaves us wanting. read more

My husband and I met here for lunch when he was house-sitting for his friends. It was busy, but the line went quickly, and our food came out fast. I usually ask for my bread sliced thin on my sandwich because it's usually just too thick for me. They sliced it so thin on one side that it was almost like there was no bread on part of my sandwich. I've never had that happen before. So that was a little weird. My husband loves their pizza, but it's not cheap so I never order it. I am big on the turkey cran (on honey rye) and the strawberry salad (with no onion). I love both in the summertime. The shop was staffed by a horde of teenagers who seemed very befuttled at anything we asked or had an issue with.
