I commute to Braintree from metro west every Tuesday. Pre pandemic I would stop in Randolph to pick up 2 bahn mis for brunch with a friend. The N&P Saigon sub shop closed on Tuesdays so I started getting our brunch here. I used grub hub to place the take out order, I would tip 15% and the 2 bahni mi would cost $20.79, more than double the price of the Randolph shop. Then in May the cost went down to $15.79, in late June it was back to $20.79. This week the same order cost over $28 and they appeared to have changed to a different roll, not the traditional Baggett...well $28 is ridiculous! The N&P shop, which I always preferred has reopened Tuesdays so I will be stopping there for 2 sandwiches for $11. I ways pick up and never have the food delivered! read more

Ordered through UberEat with 50% off, $1 off with delivery promotion, and received a free item for spending $20. Total cost $37.68 including service fee, delivery fee, and temporary local fee. The packaging was awesome. I ordered Sugarcane Shrimp (Chạo Tôm), Bánh Mì cold cuts (Thịt nguội), Beef Noodle Soup with Vegetables (Phở Chay) Regular (Thờng), Fried Egg Rolls (Chả Giò) Regular (3 rolls), and Beef Noodle Soup with Special Beef Combination (Phở Đặc Biệt). Sugarcane shrimp was okay but lack of shrimp taste and the sweet fish sauce had no taste. Bánh Mì with cold cuts had the right amount of veggies and cold cuts. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. But I wish they don't sprinkle black pepper on it. The beef noodle with vegetables that I got for free was okay, but I would not pay $12.95 for it. The beef noodle soup with a special beef combination definitely not worth $16.95. the soup tastes good, not oily and salty. The fried egg roll had too much black pepper in it, you can't taste any pork, shrimp, taro, and the thin vermicelli. I tried it with the sweet fish sauce to covered up the black pepper taste but again, their sweet fish sauce had no taste. Overall, the price for some items on their menu is steep compared to other Pho restaurants in Dorchester and Quincy area. If you prefer a strong flavor with the seasoning of black pepper, I would recommend this place. I personally preferred food with less seasoning, especially I don't like black pepper. I think when seasoning with black pepper lead me to think ingredients are not fresh, trying to cover up the smell or taste. read more

I dream about the sauce and the rice. All of their Com dishes/ rice dishes are awesome. The stir fried flat noodles and veggies are excellent and fresh if you are vegan or vegetarian. Great flavor. Id put this up there in the conversation with any PHO place I've ever been and I've been to a lot. Absolutely excellent pho broth. The sate was interesting, a bit of citrus to it which I haven't seen before, but still excellent nonetheless. Definitely worth a trip for the Beef PHO if nothing else. I have been living in Braintree and have tried all three restaurant at this location. I don't remember the first one. It was not as good as this one. The second one I believe was Pho Paris. It was not good. For this Ganh Pho, my 3rd try. It was ok. Both of the vermicelli noodles and chicken wings are ok but not as good as the Vietnamese restaurant I had in Pho89 in Randolph. The chicken wing is not too dry but it's tasteless(probably wasn't marinated long enough?) Make sure you ask the price before you place the order because the owner updated the menu but they carry the old menu with the old price. read more

I know my Vietnamese food and sometimes I hate how the prices can be a little over the top. With that said... a XL pho bowl for $17. I think I'll pass unless the broth is liquid gold.. :D My husband ordered pho tai & bo vien (beef & meatballs). The broth was a lot more fatty as you can see the oily layer on the top layer. We skimmed it off ourselves. I got the bun bo cha (this is just with shrimp paste). It was pretty good but didn't come with the traditional vegetables, I.e., banana leaves or some restaurant so the thinly sliced cabbage. It's the little things that counts! We ordered a couple of items for carryout, fried rice and 10 pieces spring roll. Unfortunately they forgot to put our dipping sauce in, which would have made these tasty spring rolls otherwise pretty bland. My wife called them back to complain, and they not only drove over to deliver the dipping sauce, they courteously gave us two complimentary Thai iced teas. I don't ever write reviews but I specifically came on here to give Ganh Pho 5++ Stars. I recently discovered this place about a month back and have ordered atleast once a week since! Their Pho is DELICIOUS! I've been ordering delivery and their packaging is perfect and the broth always arrives super hot! I've tried many pho deliveries in the past and they never arrive hot or easy to prepare. Ganh pho's soup arrives easy to put together & tastes as if you are eating it right in the restaurant. "Oh yeah, your order's been here for an hour just sitting. There's nothing we can do about it." Hang up in disgust and go to cancel. WOW! MAGICALLY, THE STATUS CHANGES TO "WAITING FOR PICKUP" AND AN UBER DRIVER APPEARS ON THE MAP! Realize Ganh Pho never told Uber the food was ready and let my order just sit there. Get cold food that should be hot, and warm food that should be cold. (Oh, and the driver never texted me to let me know the food was there, but that's on Uber, not the restaurant.) I had frequented the prior pho shop that was at this exact location. I'm really hoping that Ganh Pho is able to weather the storm and make it through these tough times. I will start off with saying that their contactless method of takeout was very efficient and safe throughout the whole process. I called in, he gave me a call back when the food was ready (~20 mins), and brought it right out curbside. I cannot wait for when things return to normal and I can try out their food hot and fresh in-house. I ordered nem cuon (grilled pork patty spring rolls), cha gio (fried egg rolls), and mi quang. I enjoyed the fresh flavor of the pickled daikon and carrot and the crunch of the fried egg roll wrapper inside the nem cuon. While the portion of the cha gio was plentiful (came with 3 in the smallest order), I did not like the texture so much as it was very mushy. May be a fluke with this particular batch, so I'll willing to try them again. I really enjoyed the mi quang. This seems to be a special for this week, but was definitely already a favorite of mine since it reminds of good home cooking. It has wide rice noodles that are yellowed with turmeric, served with minimal broth that is super concentrated with flavor, and fresh herbs and ground peanuts. You can typically order this with chicken, pork, or shrimp (+ medium boiled egg), but the guy over the phone hooked me up with all 3 proteins. I knew this was the authentic stuff because they even packed a toasted sesame cracker portion, which you break into smaller bits and mix into the noodles. The flavor was great, so I would definitely order again. I am very excited to try out their pho and bun bo hue the next time I order! Ganh Pho is amazing! It's been a while since I had food Pho, let alone one for take out, and they did a wonderful job at making sure we had everything we would've gotten in person while making the everything really easy to put together outside of the restaurant. The wait time was super short as well (only 10 minutes) and the staff was very nice. I got the beef brisket pho (extra large) and the brisket was delicious, the broth was incredible and the portions were very good for the price. Even with some help I couldn't finish the whole bowl! My partner also got the Chicken BanhMi which was also very delicious and well seasoned. The bread was nice and crispy on the outside while soft on the inside - exactly what you want from a great BanhMi! In total everything only came to about $23 ($7.45 for the BanhMi and $14.95 for the extra large Pho) which is a really great deal for what we got! Update! I've gotten takeout from Ganh Pho three more times in the last month and every time has been a 5 star experience! I highly recommend the special rice cooked in clay pot with seafood and the steak & tendon pho has consistently had more than 7 pieces of large tendon (sooo good). The stir fry chicken with lemongrass is also very tasty--the portions were filling and it had a great lemongrass flavor/was slightly spicy--overall very delicious. We will be back! :) read more
