They have a bar with 1 Tv & a few tables. The other room is what's considered the dining room that can seat a big family or several smaller families. & then there's a 3rd room that's the to-go area, & where you can pay for your meals. Stopped on way from Connecticut to upstate NY for a quick bite. We googled "deli", but as we passed Gappy's I noticed a sign that said wraps and salads, so popped in. Woo hoo! I had a grilled chicken wrap with mozzarella and roasted peppers, my husband the chicken caeser wrap. They were super quick, super friendly and patient, and I haven't enjoyed a wrap that much in ages. It was more ingredients than wrap, and it was warm and so yummy. This place is a hit or miss, the employees change often and there doesn't seem to be a recipe that they follow. Broccoli robe when asked for extra garlic has none. When something is asked for fradiablo, it comes out marinara. Called to have a delivery and was told 45 minutes took a total of 90 minutes. This is culmination of several meals, I live two mile away and this is a loss, I not comfortable paying fifty dollars for a meal and know I could do better myself. Gappy's used to be great, they have recently really gone down hill. When we get delivery its typically well over an hour late. And we were told by a delivery driver that a $5 tip wasnt enough for people to deliver here, and thats on top of the charged delivery fee. The pizza has been coming soggy in the middle and just isnt the quality it used to be. Sad to see a staple to the area go downhill. read more

This is my local joint in town, I am not a fan of pizza but I do like theirs! My boyfriend order the salad pizza and I usually gets the meat lover pizza and we would make a combination of salad and meat pizza into a sandwich pizza! It is so good! You should try them! We ordered take out from here after just moving to Lake Carmel. A lot of people said it was the best pizza around. Maybe because I am from Brooklyn and I know what really good pizza is I have to disagree. It was the worst tasting pizza I have ever eaten. The sauce was nothing but sugar which made everyone sick. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 meals to go. I got a side order of Penne Alla Vodka with no meat which was freshly cooked not reheated in a microwave (thank god, that probably why it tastes so amazing since it was so fresh and yummy!!!!)...he got Sausage and Peppers on a roll. Stumbled across this place as we pulled off the highway looking for a place to feed the kids and ourselves. I liked the look of it and the constant stream of locals coming out carrying pies. We ordered a Hawaiian and a lasagna pie. They were good. The sauce was on the sweet side and the crust nice and thin. The service was wonderful and friendly. After a long day of motorcycle riding we randomly exited the interstate to get gas. Across the street was a non descript pizzeria -Gappy's. The smell wafting across the road was amazing. So we went in. The place is nothing special in decor, it had a bustling dinner crowd, and the staff were pleasant. Paper napkins and paper place mats covered the tables, and the floor was mostly swept. The waiter brought some bread, a non descript loaf that didn't look like anything special...but don't judge a book by its cover...it was hot, crusty, and light...delicious! I've eaten at Gappy's for years and am just getting around to the review, maybe that's because I never thought of it as worth reviewing one way or the other. That's how I feel about Gappy's, the pizza is okay, the entrees as one other reviewed are "heavy" but as long as you know you're not getting fine dining it's okay. The service at the counter is better than at the tables, on some occasions I think the young guys they have there may be stoned. One in particular seemed to always be in a daze.
