HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, GREAT PRICE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We have 2 garage doors. The main door worked fine but the second door had a broken panel and didn't have a motor. Alex gave us by-far the best quote for the work needed and didn't try to over-sell us things we didn't need. Alex did a perfect job installing a brand-new, high-tech Chamberlain motor to this second door and fixed the broken panel perfectly to match the other panels and the other door. In addition, he reinforced BOTH doors to make them stronger and prevent future breaks. He also modified BOTH doors to make them substantially quieter to open and close. The main door has a very old motor and used to be super loud when it was being opened or closed. Now, it is maybe 30% as loud as it used to be--a significant reduction. Alex also hit an unfortunate road-block when we realized we had bad wiring in the house. He spent many extra, unanticipated hours working in the heat of the Texas summer to resolve the issue. After talking with several Garage Door installers for about 3 weeks, I finally decided on Garage Door King Services. I did most of my conversation by text with the owner Sammy. At my request, Sammy came by my home before installation of a new garage door and garage door opener to make sure there would be no problems installing them. Sammy was very nice, knowledgeable and cooperative. He gave me a good price for installing a new garage door and a new garage door opener, and he never deviated from that price. He and his helper arrived exactly on time to install these items. They worked several hours, and I was so pleased with the results. Sammy was more than I can ever ask for, after calling a different company prior to him I received an outrageous Quote and was charged a service fee that was not mentioned prior. Garage door stopped opening, so I called around and found Garage Door King Services. Very reasonable quote, knew exactly what was broken based on a quick phone discussion (needed to replace cheap Wayne Dalton spring mechanism with a more traditional, longer lasting one), and Sammy was able to come out and do the work the next day. He also lubricated the door so it opens much quieter than before. Door is working great again and is covered by warranty from Garage Door King. I have an unusually large single garage door. He took additional time to talk with me about the maintenance and potential issues with my particular door. I had a fantastic experience with Sammy at Garage Door King Services. Our garage door had a pretty tricky issue, and Sammy came out within a few hours of me sending out a Yelp request. He was able to remove my old unit, and install my new unit pretty quickly. One phone call, one text message, and 2 hours later I have a new garage door opener. The service guy suggested a brand (Chamberlain) that I hadn't heard of. I found Sammy/Garage Door King on Angie's List and called him to fix all the problems as I was tired of dealing with the original guy. Sammy restored my faith in human nature. I called him to replace an inoperative garage door opener. He arrived the next morning when he promised. After checking my machine, he found that it was just disconnected. He could have sold me a new garage door opener and made a lot of money. Our garage door wheels came off and it was hard to get the door down, as it is a heavier than most garage doors but with Sammy's expertise he was able to get it down.
