I contacted Garage Door Solutions, spoke to Weston (11am). I explained I one of my two torsion springs broke, and asked if they could come out. He said he'd be there this afternoon. Weston and an assistant (didn't catch his name) came out (1:30pm), took a look. One started working on removing the old spring while the other went to get new ones. They weighed the door, replaced the springs, and then tested the door to make sure it was working properly. He made an adjustment, and it was all set. Honestly, it probably took them about 30 minutes to complete which made me very happy. It's amazing watching people work when they know what they're doing. Weston was very responsive and quick to give the initial quote. I had some issues deciding on the color of the garage doors and had to change them after initially agreeing and giving a deposit. Weston could not have been nicer and actually was able to install a day after my change request. Installed the doors and hardware, very happy with our new garage doors. Our spring on our garage door broke last night. I researched a few companies this morning and checked lots of reviews. I called Weston at Garage Door Solutions and even though they had a really busy day (at an apt complex) they said they would make it to our house this afternoon. He arrived an hour earlier than his original estimate, but texted me as he said he would to keep in in the loop on actual timing. He gave an estimate on the charges for the new springs over the phone and he was spot on when he came out, evaluated what needed to be done and then proceeded to replace the spring. He didn't attempt to oversell or overcharge. He was prompt, courteous and got right down to business. They were done in about 30 minutes. Can't say enough good about these guys. On 6/6/14 we had both coils on the garage door repaired. We paid 149.00 total with a 5 year warranty. 8/13/18 one coil broke. They are telling me it is going to cost $180 to replace the coils WITH THE WARRANTY. That is more than originally paid. A new set of coils through this company is $199. This is not a warranty. I called around new coil replacement with lifetime warranty $141. Don't go with Garage Door Solutions!! read more

This is the second time I've used Garage Door Solutions. I noticed my garage door was making a funny noise (but still working) over the weekend. On a beautiful Saturday morning my wife and I were getting ready to go enjoy the weather. We got in the car and found that the garage door would not open. I pulled the handle on the door to try and open it manually. It would not open. I discovered that the door spring had snapped in half. We were stuck.
