Review for Garage Retail Store: Today I went into the store to return a birthday gift for my daughter. I clearly told the cashier, Ariana, that this was a gift and we would need to return it accordingly. Despite this, she immediately processed the return to the original card. I reminded her again that it was a gift, and we needed a gift card instead. She then called over a manager named Penny, who also appeared quite young and inexperienced. Penny informed me that nothing could be done and told me to either call Customer Service or contact the original cardholder. I explained that I didn't know the cardholder and had no way of reaching them. I asked her to void the transaction or return the merchandise to me. At that point, she snatched the item from my hand and repeated that they couldn't void the return and that I needed to call customer service. I called Customer Service immediately, and they told me there was nothing they could do either, and to take it up with the store manager. So now I'm left without the merchandise or the money -- the return went to a stranger's card, and I'm expected to somehow track them down. To make matters worse, Ariana lied to the manager and claimed we never said it was a gift, which is completely false. Not only was the situation handled poorly, but it was also dishonest. It's extremely disappointing that a store would train (or allow) employees to act this way -- with zero accountability and no regard for basic customer service. This experience felt like I was being taken advantage of, and I'm now left with nothing to show for the gift I originally bought. I bought a pair of shorts for $39.99. With the tax added it ended up being $49.99. I returned the exact same shorts because they didn't fit to my liking. But my return I only received 39.99 not the whole amount that I was charged. At this point I don't have the receipt anymore because I assumed that it was going to be taken care of when I went in store to get the return placed. I have ordered a hoodie for my daughter. I paid for one to two-days delivery to have it for Christmas. It's almost New Year, and the hoodie hasn't arrived. I have spent time calling them since then, but the only answer was, "You should receive it soon." Today I spent all day calling them, got hung up on many attempts, and then heard the same call center script again: they offered me $10 in points and told me to wait. I asked why they do not cancel it, as the package is clearly lost, and I was told they cannot do that until the postal company officially recognizes that the package is lost. I ordered online, never received anything, cannot track my package because only a label was made and didn't even make it to UPS. You cannot call as they are always closed, they won't email back, and the chat just says they will get back to you. First time visiting garage and man was it an experience! Ambiance was amazing as soon as I came in. I was looking at reviews prior to writing mine and I believe a gentleman named Antonio said their playlist is "fire" and boy, was he right! I initially came in to shop for my niece since her birthday is coming up and the staff was welcoming and answered all my questions. I want to give a shoutout to the manager Katelynn as well, she was the best! This crazy customer came in demanding to speak to a manager immediately over some issue she had. One of the most uncomfortable customer service I have ever received. The employees weren't friendly at all and ignored my greeting. This one girl in particular (the cashier) looked at me with absolute disgust that it made me upset. From the moment I walked in she was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me find items that fit my style/aesthetic. Workers would not allow my friend and I to try in clothes. They claimed their fitting rooms were "closed at the moment," while sitting down and not even attending to their customers. This retail store just opened in our local mall. The clothes are really cute and the materials feel great, not that cheap clothing line material. The prices are pretty reasonable too. My daughter got a pair of "retro" high waisted jeans, which basically are the Guess jeans I wore in the 80's. UGHHHH!!! I must be showing my age. The girl's are very helpful with sizes and pulling merchandise for you. I think this store will be pretty popular with the teens (which as we all know are the biggest % of sales). Munirah & Savannah the managers at garage are absolutely AMAZING! To walking in the store to finishing at check out they gave us absolutely one on one attention to me and my friend! They helped me with sizes and picked out the best outfits for my vacation to Disneyland! If they didn't have a size they ordered it for me, and just took amazing care of me while I was in their store. It's good to see that they're still caring people out there. I'm giving it two stars not because of the quality but because of the recent customer service I've received. Two weeks ago I placed an online order and bought a white sherpa jacket in the size medium. It was way too big for me so I needed to exchange it for a size small. On Tuesday (12/3) I went in person to exchange the item. The only person available was the manager at the front of the store. I explained to her to situation and they had thejacket in the size I needed. The interaction went fine, it seemed. Until I handed her the original jacket (out of the bag it was delivered it, tag still in place). And she sniffed it. Now, I totally get how returns work and inspecting if it to see if it was worn. But this was a pure white jacket. Any hint of worn would had been noted. And sniffing it in front of a customer is just extremely unprofessional to me. I've returned and exchanged items many times at this store and other stores and no sales associate has EVER done that. I wanted to say something then but decided to let it go. When the transaction was completed, she also informed me that this was a final sale. I asked why. She said it was in the policy. Weird...but ok. I've exchanged things here before and it was never final sale. Only if its a bodysuit or fragrance or clearance item. And because this was a BRAND new item, it did not apply so I also questioned why she was telling me I couldn't re-exchange it. I looked up the policy when I got home because I really didn't like my interaction with her and knew she was BS-ing me. There was nowhere listed in their return/exchange policy that states that exchanges were final sale! So she lied to me! SMH. Which is why I decided to call corporate just to double check. The call center tried to make excuses for why the manager told me that but then ended up agreeing with me that she lied. As for the sniffing, I complained about that too and the lady on the phone said the manager has every right to sniff the item. I clarified over the phone that I understood the need for inspection but it is still rude to do that in front of the customer returning the item. It's disappointing because I really love their clothes but the customer service is hasn't been that great at this location for a while. And I checked the reviews for the other locations and someone else complained about their return policy and items being final sale. Please refer to the policy written online and their app. Nowhere does it state that returns can only be exchanged only once! This was verified also by corporate. read more

I was in your store location at the stone ridge mall and when I tried to purchase an item with a sale sticker on it I was denied the sale because it was tagged "wrong" but Hilda the store manager was going to honor my friends purchase of the same item with the same sale sticker on it. Please explain to me how this is ok? It is not my problem that an item was tagged on sale improperly. The price of the sale tag should be honored.. and further more, it makes no sense why you would honor it for my friend and not me. Not until I said I was going to complain or call corporate was I then a few moments later told it would be honored. I will not continue to shop somewhere with this non sense type of customer service... you do not honor the same mismarked item to one person and not the other.. please re-evaluate your companies staff and their product knowledge. read more

The lady that worked there remembered us when buying the clothes and we returned it less than 24 hours but they refused to take it because it's tags were removed we even had the tags with the clothes.
