Sadly, they were out of gluten-free pitas. But the nice man behind the counter gave me some falafel instead. Yum!! I was only able to have the falafel and three bites of salad before the Uber driver arrived almost 15 minutes early. I hate that so much, but I digress. The salad was delicious. It was late in the afternoon, and the restaurant was pretty empty. It was clean and peaceful. No crumbs on the tables. The price was reasonable, and the salad was a generous size. Sometimes you have to utilize a chain restaurant like Garbanzo especially if you are in a hurry. For me, today saw such an occasion when I was between two side hustle gigs. After I was done with my first one at a liquor store nearby, I chose this location of Garbanzo to get me a quick plate to eat before I headed my way to the next one. I had completely forgotten about this place until today as I saw it on the way to my first gig. At that point, I knew I would stop here to get me something later. In retrospect, I used to utilize Garbanzo quite often years back. I wonder why I stopped using them completely for a while. This location only has about 3 stars as of this writing in late March 2026. As I stepped inside, I realized that it was quite clean. One of the guys upfront greeted me as I approached the glass barrier where you see all the ingredients. They appeared fresh. I decided to do the build your own plate with gyro as the protein. The base price is/was only $12 with some change. That is not a bad price in this tough market/economy. With the yellow rice base, he placed several slices of gyro. He then asked me what I wanted for the rest of the space in the plate. I picked whatever I wanted as my heart desired; I sure was hungry. As we got to the register I thought he was going to charge me for something extra as I thought I got more than what was allowed. And yet, he only charged me for the base price. I was quite shocked with that. My plate looked quite big. By the way, he gave me a freshly baked pita bread; it came with the plate. I quickly paid and off went my way. Once I got my chance, I started devouring my food. It was surprisingly good with so much freshness. I surely didn't expect this kind of quality from it (not that I was looking down on them. LOL!!) Wow, I guess I need to utilize this restaurant more from now on especially mere $15 will buy a good portioned Mediterranean plate. I've been meaning to write this for a little while now; I stopped coming because the old general manager, ( the one with the gross UNCOVERED beard) he would be working on the open food line with his big bushy beard hanging over all the food. Not to mention he was extremely condescending to the customers. Fast forward and there was a new female manager, Rony? I think is her name? She is just so lovely and kind and you can really tell she takes pride in what she does. I started to return to the business, I'm sad to say sometime in the last few months the man with the HUGE HAIRY BEARD was behind the counter again! This is the 1st time I've been to a Garbanzo post covid, since all the other ones by me shut down. Things seem a lot different. Things seem scarce, but that's common now w fast casual places & rising food prices. With that said, but the flavor, value, and food hasn't. I got a chicken, pesto hummus, and babaganush laffe, and it was delicious!!! Not going to lie by the time I got there & decided where I was going to eat it made me super happy. This was a great flavorful protein packed laffe that tamed the hungry beast. It's great to see that Garbanzo is still around. This was always one of my favorite fast casual restaurants because it's not greasy, unhealthy food. It's the total opposite & I can still count on them for healthy good food fast. I went to get a special that was in my Garbanzo app. I was going to make the special on the app. There was a woman and a teenage boy. I showed the girl my app. First the girl looked at me confused. I asked the same question. She told me "no". The I asked the girl, why is it on my app.? She said no again. Then I realized that she didn't speak any English. I asked the teenager if he spoke English. His reply was "No English." I asked them for a manager. They were both confused what I was saying, Finally the girl went in the back to get someone. This guy comes out of the back and asked me what is going on? I showed him the App. The guy told me they so accept this coupon. I mentioned to him that maybe the staff should be aware of the app. I said some customers would get upset. The guy from the back told me and I quote, "I really don't care about the customers". Kinda of a wow moment for me. I do not understand why this place put people up front who do not understand English. This Garbanzo is located at: 8225 Chester St. Centennial CO. It is on the opposite side of the Park Meadow Mall. Just be aware that you have people working there that do not care. That gets me thinking of how they prepare the food. I had stopped coming here when I found the hours they were open were not consistent. I went here yesterday on a bit of a whim. I'm often in this complex for Chipotle and, yesterday, for Buffalo Wild Wings. The food quality seems decent. The service was slightly menacing, though, which makes me wary of the food. I frequent this location a lot when I've had a busy day for a healthy dinner. The service and food has been continuing to go down in quality to the point where I'm not sure if I'll continue to come here anymore... First, the employees working when I went, either pretended to not understand anything that I was asking, or really don't speak good English at all. Why you would hire people who cannot understand and answer questions about your restaurant and food, I dunno?!?! It has nothing to do with race or anything and just simple understanding. You ask questions about the menu and they stare at you with this look like you're crazy. They were also not polite at all, when they're the ones who don't understand... I'm a Cuban American also and understood what they were saying about me perfectly. If they've been with the company for a long time, that makes sense why your company so bad... To me it felt like they didn't want me there and it was reflected in the quality of the food which was HORRIBLE... Second the rice was cooked to a CRISP! It was hard and crispy rice, disgusting! Totally ruined my whole meal! Not to mention I asked for extra chicken, paid for extra chicken, and barely got any chicken. The pickled onions were slimy!!! between the rice and the onions I just threw my whole meal away! Well, they do keep the restaurant nice and clean as well as the bathroom, that doesn't make up for how horrible the food is! I think I'm done with Garbanzos considering there's so many other Mediterranean places like CAVA which is SO MUCH BETTER! The staff is wonderful also! BYE BYE NASTY GARBANZOS! I like being able to order as you go, Chipotle or Subway style. They have lots of sauce options like tzatziki, tahini, etc. The tahini is different, the sign shows the standard sesame-colored tan, but in reality it's a green version with I can only assume some kind of herb included in it. Recently, I ordered the salad option (versus the plate or the pita sandwich, etc.) and it was a huge portion, really great, especially with all the toppings I added on. However, I questioned the dressing in my head as I can't stand when a salad is overdressed, you can't take dressing off, so putting too much is an impossible situation. I hesitated but also did really want it tossed in the bowl, though, so I let her do her thing as my order was being made in front of me. When I got to my seat, it was indeed too much salad dressing. Dang it! Next time, I'm going to tell them toss it with the dressing, fine, but watch really closely and tell them put about half as much dressing as you normally do. With all of the side dips mentioned above, there's really no need to an excessive amount of the salad dressing. It is tasty greek dressing, I might add, but again too much just ruins a salad for me. This is a much better option than a lot of other quick foods! Definitely recommend going Greek! read more

I haven't read yelp reviews on this place before, I guess if I had I would have been better prepared. I went to Garbanzo last night to eat there in person. In the past I've always done take-out. The place was filthy. Not a single clean table, the floor needed to be vacuumed, the drink machines were gross, etc. Clearly this is a problem they don't care about since I see a common thread in the reviews. They keep the forks, spoons and knives by the drink machines. All they had were knives out. For those of you who have been there you order in a assembly line set up, like subway. They were out of pickles when I ordered and low on a few other items. They had a lot of customers, but the way the place is being run/managed it looks like they are on a downward spiral. Do not go here. The GM does not know how to run a business and will lie to you and steal your money. It's been three weeks since I ordered online, only to find the restaurant empty with zero employees, but the door was open and all the ovens were on. I did not get my food. I politely wrote the store for a refund. I was told a refund would take 7-10 days. I have emailed and spoken to Danny, the GM, on the phone several times. I have still not received a refund. Here is the original response from the restaurant: "Good Morning, Iam so sorry this was your expirence last night. This is NOT how we run our business and not our standard. I will be refunding your order as well as reaching out to you directly. Please shoot me a time that I can contact you that is the best for you. I'll start this by saying I'm a typical millennial in that I'm too anxious to leave a restaurant once I'm already in line and ordering, thus this terrible experience that I could have avoided. Anyhow, lesson learned and I won't be going back, even though I used to love this place before Covid. Food- looked like they made it last night or this morning. There was barely anything in the containers that did have food and it all looked congealed. They didn't have several things I wanted, including wheat pita, pickled onion, and enough steak for a full serving. Now that I'm gone with my food I'm not sure I even want to eat it because honestly I'm a little scared to get food poisoning. Service- I should have left when I walked in and it took several minutes for the guy behind the counter to even acknowledge me. This place is awesome! FREE samples of falafel as soon as you walk up to the counter! So many awesome toppings to compliment the delicious falafel! Pretty cheap too - about 8 bucks with tax for a pita sandwich. On the downside, the pitas aren't very soft and the falafels are a little crispy for my liking, but both have tremendous flavor. We tried some carry out from here recently and the overall experience was pretty good. I really enjoyed their pita bread. I was too full to eat it fresh, but sliced it in half and toasted it to reheat it and it was very yummy. Their rice has a nice, nutty flavor. The gyro meat had a pretty rough chop but was seasoned well. Their garlic sauce and the harissa were exactly what we expected. The restaurant was pretty clean when I went inside to grab my food. Plus the staff was very polite. Not really helpful but at least I didn't feel like they were just throwing my food at me that evening. I stumbled across this small Mediterranean place called Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh. I'm not sure if it's a casino or not. It looked like multiple locations while verifying the address. Anyway, the food was delicious. I had a mix of gyro, salad, hummus, etc. This came with a nice in-house cooked pita bread. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. They didn't offer the "free falafel"as they should but was very pretty happy with the quality of service as they seemed pretty flexible and welcoming. I was greeted by a truck-stop bathroom smell when I walked into the restaurant and adding the over abundance of flies it didn't make for very inviting or appetizing experience. The food looked like it'd been sitting out way too long--you couldn't even smell the food; Mediterranean food is fragrant, so I'm not sure how it's even possible that we couldn't smell the food. Staff were on par with the ambiance and the food. I was ignored by the three people working behind the counter, none of the greeted me or asked me what I wanted...not even after my partner told the cashier he was waiting for me to order so he could pay. Still, no one helped me and in fact skipped me altogether for the people who were standing in line behind me. I opted to not order. They probably did me a favor. Trying this place for the first time. Just arrived to pick-up a $40 online order, and noticed the bag was sealed in such a way that I couldn't verify the contents inside. The man behind the counter noticed that I was trying to look inside and yelled at me that "everything you ordered is in the bag". When I got out to my car, I decided to tear open the bag and immediately noticed that two orders of Baklava were missing! I went back inside and talked to the same man, who--without any hesitation--said: "We're out of Baklava". When I said: "Well, I paid $5.18 for two orders of Baklava, can I get a refund?" he said: "We can't give you a refund. We can substitute it with something else" and then pointed to a fridge with nothing that I wanted. I don't appreciate that they tried to hide the fact that they didn't have the Baklava that I paid for. And, when I became suspicious that something was missing, they yelled at me. And, when I confirmed that something was missing, they tried to say I couldn't get a refund for an item that they didn't have in-stock. Just as I started to raise my voice in front of customers, the Baklava mysteriously appeared in a fridge right behind the counter. "Oh, actually we do have some". The food was pretty good. The tabouli was not very fresh, a little soggy. The falafel were a little too well done but tasty. The babaghanouj was nice and "smokey"! And the hummus was nice and creamy! Service was great by a nice young man, not so great from the other woman in there. You could tell they could use more help, the trash was completely full and tables needed wiping. All in all, it was good, you just have to ask for what you want (another spoonful of tzatziki, more hummus please!) I just moved here from Washington and I've been craving Mediterranean food. I saw that you could make your own bowls here and got excited, finally I can have my Mediterranean food. Well when it got delivered, we noticed that it's missing 3 items that we paid for: fries with white sauce, hummus, and pita. Super bummed because I love fries with the white sauce, and we wanted hummus. I got a chicken bowl with seasoned rice, tomato/cucumber, sautéed veggies, hummus, feta, tahziki, and the white garlic sauce. Not only was my bowl extremely cold and the chicken was oddly chewy, it was missing sautéed veggies, hummus, feta, and the white garlic sauce. It was literally just cucumber, tomato, rice and a few chunks of chicken and tahziki. My husband got a gyro plate with basically everything on it, and he barely had any gyro meat on his plate, also missing baba ganoush, hummus, sautéed veggies and white garlic sauce. Okay... Okay. So first off, I just have to say that the food was tasty enough (or I was hungry enough), to warrant the four stars, but everything else about my visit to Garbanzo was perhaps a 2/3. First of all, the people working behind the counter were SUPER SLOW AND INEFFICIENT. Legit sloth pace in regards to making people's food... At least the first person in line. When it was FINALLY my turn, there was just about ZERO hummus left, and I requested some for my plate, and he was legit scraping thus empty container or hummus... And he thought a tiny tsp was going to get the job done for me, alas I requested more and back to scraping the empty container he went. Does this place NOT have back up in times like these? He also was very confused by everything else I requested, which wasn't hard at all... But then when the girl took over, things got better but she was kinda snooty and rude to me when I asked for multiple proteins. Any who, this place over all (behind the glass) just kinda seemed like a shit show... Like they didn't have the flow to make every transaction smooth. One of my biggest pet peeves is when you go into a store and the store has either hired employees that can't speak basic English, or allows their employees to pretend not to speak English. I asked for steak on a bowl today, the lady says no steak. I asked if there was any in the back and she just looks at me and gives me a blank stair then goes we have chicken or gyro. I asked about neither of those and my 7 word sentence "is there no steak in the back?" Already contained 2 words she used.
