I came here upon recommendation from a friend and I do love a good food truck. Love the setup here with the shaded outdoor seating right next to a bar for ordering drinks. There was live music playing on the little stage out front. Good ambiance. I ordered the umami burger and it was...a lot. You definitely get your money's worth. That 1/2 lb burger is A LOT of meat. The burger was juicy and delicious but it also kind of giving me meat sweats haha. It was a bit much for me but really good. My boyfriend got the mango hotdog and loved the taste but found it hard to eat. The toppings kept falling out and it got messy quickly. So come hungry and make sure your table has napkins. read more

Hands down best KOREAN BBQ Tacos: marinated beef short rib, napa cabbage, scallions, carrots, diakon, cilantro, citrus soy dressing, and sriracha. Sweet, spicy (optional), juicy, tender, melt in your mouth beef! That's all I tried but everything else I saw look good too!! Wish I was staying longer to try the whole menu. read more

I think I've just eaten the best taco of my life. Thank you to all the Yelpers for recommending this place and calling out the Korean BBQ taco. We strolled here one afternoon while visiting Key West for lunch per the reviews. Ordered exactly what all ya'll said to order and had our taste buds blown away! Aside from the tacos, it was a really cute outdoor/food truck setup with single indoor bathroom stalls. Nothing fancy. The prices are probably average or above average, but I do believe you get what you pay for. If you're visiting Key West, you definitely need to stop by. It takes some Google-mapping to find this as it tucked behind another restaurant, but you will thank me. My only regret is that I won't likely be back anytime soon to try the other menu items. read more

Garbo's Grill is a taco food truck near Hank's Saloon. It's just off of Duval Street in Key West. The space has a laid back feel -- seat yourself and when you're ready, place your order at the truck in the back of the outdoor space. We got the fish and shrimp tacos. The tortilla was standard, but the fillings, sauces, and toppings were excellent. You can add jalapeños for some extra spice. There is also an assortment of cocktails available from Hank's -- happy hour runs from 4 PM to 7 PM. There was also great live music when we were there. read more

yeah, the food here is top notch. but, please note, this is not a fancy place, this is what is basically a food truck in a back lot with long lines and few tables. We went on MOnday, July 3rd and the line was a good 15 people deep. Our order took about 25 minutes and it was sweltering (nothing they can do about the weather, right?) Anyways, its a must visit every time i am in key west.. so, there is that :) give it a try, youll love it - i whole-heartedly recommend the umami burger and the korean bbq tacos. read more

I ordered a umami burger and fish tacos. Both of them are very tasty. Fish tacos has lots of rich flavors yet not salty or overwhelming. The burger paddy is very thick and juicy, rich in flavor as well. Staffs are friendly and there is live music. read more

Awesome find in Key West. Korean BBQ tacos were fantastic and definitely worthy of their feature on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The happy hour special is one of the best in Key West, 3 tacos for $11 (one each--Korean BBQ, Cayo fish, and Yum yum shrimp). They also make their key lime pie, get a slice! Good location behind Hank's, ample seating and place for drinks. read more

We stopped at Garbo's Grill during a Key West Food Tour and enjoyed a delicious fish taco! The taco was freshly prepared and tasted amazing. The next day we returned to Garbo's to try their lobster roll, and we were not disappointed - they were delicious too! With a chill, laid back atmosphere, great drinks and food, and live music, Garbo's and Hank's Saloon is a great Key West hangout spot. read more

I don't understand what all the hype is about. I did the trio of tacos for happy hour and wasn't super impressed. The bulgogi taco was by far the best. It had an amazing marinade and was very flavorful. It could have been elevated with some pickled red onions or something to add texture. The shrimp taco was just okay. My taco only had two pieces of shrimp on it. The fish one was disappointing and lacked any flavor. I would probably not recommend unless wanting to enjoy the live music. read more

This was our first stop in Key West and it did not disappoint. We split the spicy hotdog and the short rib tacos. Both were a little spicy and amazing. Staff members were constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. I loved the atmosphere of the place. Small tables, music, tvs, and chickens running around. I was expecting to find a food truck on the side of the road but instead found a beautiful restaurant nestled between gardens with a chrome airstream camper parked in the back. That was the taco truck. The atmosphere was great. The live music and the free water cooler from the main restaurant were major perks. Garbos had tons of great photo ops spots, but I was too busy with the food to think about taking advantage of them. We ordered the fish tacos - no shell, of course - and they were cooked to perfection. The price was higher than avergage but portions were bigger than expected. read more

This was my favorite food stop on our travels down to Key West. Garbo's Grill was situated in the back of a bar and we were happy to check it out since it was a little off the beaten path and seemed a bit less touristy than many other restaurants in the area. My husband and I were able to place our order quickly and within a few minutes got our order, fast service. We were delighted to find that they had Korean Tacos and devoured them right up. Yes, they were on the spicy side (making my nose start to run), but they were oh-so-tasty. I would definitely recommend checking them out to get some fuel without the crowds of Duval Street. Every time we visit Key West, this food truck is at the top of our list. Tucked away in a little hidden spot, it's one of those places you might not stumble upon unless you know where to look. They've got tables and chairs set up, so you can sit and enjoy your meal in the shade, which is a blessing in that Florida heat. The setup is simple but perfect--just good food, good vibes, and a place to kick back and take it all in. The Korean BBQ tacos are out of this world, with that rich, savory-sweet bulgogi flavor wrapped in a soft tortilla. Then there are the Cayo fish tacos--fresh, packed with flavor, and seasoned just right. No matter what you order, you can tell they take pride in what they serve. It's the kind of place that keeps you coming back, and for us, it's been four years running. One thing to keep in mind--watch out for the giant roosters roaming around! This laid-back food truck has been featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives multiple times, and it totally lives up to the hype. I had the Kogi Dog and Korean BBQ tacos. Both were packed with flavor. The Kogi Dog is loaded with Korean BBQ beef, spicy mayo, and slaw. Every bite was rich, spicy, and insanely good. Eli and Kenna Pancamo, or better know to the locals as Grande Cabeza and the Princess Buttercup run this amazing seafood truck that usually has lines going up and down the streets in the sunny Key West! Originally planning on opening up an brick and mortor restaurant, they decided that having a food cart was the way to go! You can't miss their signature Attack-Van, get in line and grab some of their famous menu items. Their Fish and Shrimp Tacos are amazing as well as their Fish Quesadillas. Garbo's was such a great experience! We stopped by after seeing it featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and it totally lived up to the hype. I ordered the Yum Yum Shrimp Taco, super fresh shrimp and an incredible flavor profile. I also tried my friend's Korean BBQ Taco, which honestly stole the show. It was packed with tender, flavorful meat and so well-balanced. Even though it's a food truck, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the relaxed nighttime ambiance made it even better. Definitely a must-visit spot in Key West, I'd go back in a heartbeat! read more

THIS IS AN OUTDOOR FOOD STAND There, now I've got that off my chest --- This is one of the best food truck stands I've visited. Prices are reasonable by Key West standards. We loved the mahi-mahi tacos. The owner gave us corn tortillas from his private stash (they are not normally served to the regular customers). We were impressed by the flavors and spices, my wife (who is Mexican) loved the special sauce and the use of fresh mango in the tacos. read more

Came here for lunch. Made it early (11:30) and only had to wait 15 minutes. I had the Umami burger and it was cooked perfectly... juicy and flavorful. The only downside was the sangria. It tasted more like a berry drink with inexpensive wine... no fruit in the drink, just an orange wedge on the cup. Maybe it wasn't meant to be a true sangria... it just didn't do it for me. I would definitely consider going back if I was in town for lunch. read more

I hate to even post this because of all the other great reviews. But..... The burger was not hand pressed. It was a dense, preformed patty most likely taken from a box. They wouldn't cook it less than medium well which leads me to believe they may be precooked. The idea of the bacon, tomato and smoked Gouda was great and the flavor is the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars. Very disappointed in what I thought was a Key West landmark. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Best tacos I've ever had. Shaded. Live music. They have a water dispenser to fill your water bottles. DOG BOWLS:) even though we didn't have our dogs I loved that they had them around. Beautiful bathrooms. And again the food was out of this world good. Very fresh and flavorful! I recently decided to give Garbo's restaurant a try and called ahead for a pick-up order. My order was ready within 20 minutes. The interaction with the staff was super friendly. As for the food, it was pretty good! I'd especially recommend the shrimp tacos--they were packed with flavor and definitely hit the spot. Probably the best Mahi tacos Ive ever tasted! Most are drawn to the Korean bbq or the burger due to the popularity of DDD, but I was steered toward the fish with a little push from the cashier and boy was she right! Probably our favorite place on the island. Every person that we have come visit us, they always have to eat here. We don't know which is better the Korean beef or the shrimp burritos... Fish tacos are amazing so is the cheese burger. Great dining out side. This is a food trailer outside of Grumps Bar....love it. Totally Key West. read more

A bit of a disappointment. Got the 3 tacos- the shrimp taco had two pieces of shrimp on it, wow. The fish taco had and a inch and a half piece of fish on it and the 3rd, could have used a little bit more beef on it- looked great but all 3 had red cabbage stuffed in it. I love this place. Small food track with a small simple menu. Everything is so fresh and delicious, it might take a minute to get your food sometimes but not a big deal, it so worth it. The is a bar right next to it so just sit, have a beer, listen to live music and enjoy a great meal. read more

On Saturday night, I ate a shrimp quesadilla here, and by Sunday morning I was violently sick. I had nonstop vomiting and severe liquid diarrhea for hours, couldn't keep down even tiny sips of water or Pedialyte, and the cramping became so intense I could barely stand or walk without help. Things got so bad that by Sunday evening I ended up in the emergency room due to extreme dehydration. I needed IV fluids, medications, and hours of treatment. I was vomiting bile, hyperventilating, extremely weak, and dealing with muscle tingling and cramping from how dehydrated my body became. What makes me the most angry is that food poisoning is NOT something minor, especially when seafood is involved. Situations like this can become life-threatening, and restaurants should understand the seriousness and responsibility that comes with serving food safely. Nobody should go out to eat and end up in the hospital less than 24 hours later. Now I'm left dealing with recovery, stress, and expensive medical bills from an experience that should never have happened in the first place. I genuinely hope this restaurant immediately takes a serious look at its food handling and safety practices before someone else goes through something even worse. Lastly, if it were up to me, this place should be shut down until they can guarantee proper food safety standards. I will also be looking into taking legal action because nobody should have to go through something like this from simply going out to eat.
