Each member of his team is friendly and personable, it feels like family upon arrival. His kind, gentle nature immediately puts his patients at ease, especially for children or adults who may have anxieties about the dentist. His patience and guidance throughout your visit is invaluable, as he explains the process of your appointment so that the experience is comfortable and educational. I have often heard friends describe their dental experiences with dread, and my only suggestion to cope with their fear is a visit to Dr. Snow, which changes their perception of the dentist with just one visit. He is honest and transparent with patients, making him a professional whose opinion and recommendation you trust implicitly. I have been fortunate to receive such wonderful care from Dr. Snow and his staff for many years and highly recommend him as one of the finest dental professionals on island.

She is caring and I couldn't be happier. The entire staff are a pleasure to work with. The Kihei location is convenient and the office was updated. Going to the dentist isn't a fun experience for anyone but they make it as good as it gets.

The anchor tooth, was bad and should have not been used, and filled or pulled before hand. The whole bridge and a new front tooth crown had to be redone within 2 months. They redid it and had to use the new.,crowned tooth as the anchor tooth. Then they told me insurance would not pay for it. However, the insurance company said they did, and gave me the billing info. They said the bridge was not done correctly. Then their billing office charged me for a whole new bridge, front teeth, and would not talk to the insuran,e company, or give them their dental notes. I had to file a comp!ain't with the state and that's hard. Dr.Hello would not correct it and just said she does t do the billing. the same time she did a partial that another dentist looked at and said it was terrible partial. The insurance doesn't pay for things twice Hawaii Family Dental keeps trying g to make MT pay for the bridge at$3100. The amount kept changing, and the partial was paid for at $900. Only they can redo it. The billing office said the insurance co. doesn't pay for porcelin bridges, but they do,and it's in their coverage I was sent. Now Hawaii Family Dental will not get back to an advocate or send them their billing details. Now one of the teeth under the porcelin bridge has decayed under and through the bridge acter only 14 months. Another dentist said it was not sealed correctly and go back to them, but Dr. Mello won't guarantee her work. This is serious since I need hip surgery and I need a dental c!earance for surgery and can't get one because of the infection under the bridge. I am worried about my hea!th and life, as dental work can affect the rest of the body. Don't go to this corp. dentist. I've been on Maui for 26 years, and now I have to fight this some how. I looked at the state website and they have 7 complaints in 3 years.

Our experience with this pediatric dental practice was extremely disappointing, and I cannot…read morerecommend it--especially to families with children who have special needs. Before the appointment, I was informed that the recommended treatment included nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Due to financial hardship, I explained that I could not afford the additional cost and asked if my son could receive treatment without it. I was told that he would not be treated unless nitrous oxide was used. My son has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and I offered to remain in the treatment room to help comfort and support him during the procedure. I explained that I know my child best and believed my presence would help him feel safe and cooperative. However, I was told that parents are not allowed in the treatment room because, in the provider's experience, parents make procedures more difficult. Despite explaining my son's special needs, no accommodation was offered, and treatment was ultimately denied. As a parent of a child with ASD, this was heartbreaking. Children with disabilities often need additional support, patience, and flexibility. Instead, I felt dismissed and unheard. Rather than working with us to find a solution, the conversation felt centered on what would be easiest for her practice rather than what was in my child's best interest. Every child is different, and every family deserves to be treated with compassion and respect. Policies are important, but there should also be room for individualized care when treating children with special needs. I left feeling that our concerns were not valued and that our circumstances were viewed as an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to provide patient-centered care. I should've went with my gut and trusted the low reviews before booking. Parents strongly urge you to find another practice on Maui that can work with you if finances are the only reason you have to come to Cally. If your child needs extra reassurance, has special needs, or you value being involved in your child's care, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about the practice's policies before scheduling an appointment. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling unsupported, and we will be seeking care elsewhere.
