Ate here for breakfast. So we got here Friday morning for brunch hour. They have a big menu something for everyone, including lunch as well. They are open 7:00am-3:00pm. The staff is nice and quiet ( quiet spoken) I ended up getting the Happy Breakfast scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and hash brown. With pancakes. Breakfast tasted delicious. I got a dolce Leche latte that was supposed to have been a hot coffee but came out as an iced coffee. ( there was some miss communication somewhere) it was alright not the best iced latte. Garden Cafe & Bistro is fantastic addition to the UC / Weehawken area! This neighborhood was seriously lacking a place for brunch food, and I am happy to say that this place delivers on multiple things. I usually do delivery or pick up from here, but as of today, I've also eaten here as well. The menu at Garden Cafe is a bit eclectic. While there are some breakfast and lunch staples, some of the items have an interesting spin on them that you wouldn't expect from a typical brunch place. (Also, I love that you can get all-day breakfast.) If you want to indulge in a true guilty pleasure, their Hard Sandwich is my absolute favorite - it's a bacon, egg, and cheese with the addition of avocado and a hashbrown on your choice of bread (I go for a croissant to be extra guilty lol). They also have an aptly named Light Sandwich for those looking to be a little healthier. *coughcoughandboringcoughcough* I've also had their crunchy avocado toast, the milanesa sandwich (not the best I've had but solid), their grilled chicken sandwich (almost like a chicken cheesesteak), and their empanadas. All the food is made to order, hot, and incredibly fresh. Even when we get it delivered, it's steaming! Their desserts are also spectacular. They have a wide selection of individual sweet treats - at least a dozen types of stuffed croissants, cookies, cake slices, you name it. I love to go in there and pick up a little treat for myself. And surprisingly, their coffee is excellent! The one downside is the price - I do believe the items are a little pricey here (especially if you get things delivered), but you are supporting a small business who are using fresh ingredients. (The Hard Sandwich went from 9 dollars to 12 dollars due to inflation...) Also, if you do pick up or delivery, they ONLY use the Toast app - so if you are having trouble with delivery, you are out of luck calling the restaurant. We went here today with a group of 6 people, and I got to sit down for the first time. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. It's small, but so cute - and it gets busy and packed! I was looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast and stumbled upon this cafe. Everything was wonderful. They have very extensive menu ranging from a classic breakfast (pancakes, bacon, and eggs) to omelettes to breakfast sandwich and açaí bowls and everything in between. I ordered the happy breakfast and loved it. This the only place I've ever been to that lightly seasons their eggs. A little bit goes a long way and I appreciate that they do it for you. The pancakes were light and fluffy, the bacon was crispy but not burnt. It was great. I also ordered the fresh orange with carrot juice and it was sooo refreshing. I would drink that every morning if I could. It's a small spot, so a group of 4 could eat there comfortable, maybee a group of 6 if the place isn't crowded. However, any group bigger than that it may be better to carry out. Would highly recommend eating here! read more

Wanted to try out some of the new cafe's in town while home from college and stumbled upon this shop on a walk down Park Ave. Let me just say: the food here is really good. I ordered a traditional american breakfast of pancakes, eggs, bacon and a hash brown. Every single part of the breakfast tasted fresh and delicious, I was actually pretty surprised. What really stood out to me though was how delicious the coffee was!! Just a regular cafe con leche blew me away. The size, the taste, the smell -- every part of ordering a coffee from this shop is worth coming in for on its own. Why not 5 stars? Simple -- The place is a little bit toooo pricey (in my opinion) for what I ordered. The bill for 2 people ended up being almost $50 for just breakfast and coffee. Otherwise, this place is a must try if you're feeling in the mood for a great breakfast. read more

My go to spot for breakfast! I almost always get the bacon egg and cheese- the bacon is so crispy, the bun is nice and soft, and they give you a hot sauce on the side which is delicious. Always order the orange juice! It's fresh squeezed and it's so delicious, that was actually crave it sometimes The coffee is just coffee, nothing overly special. This place has great breakfasts, you have a lot of options in the menu to pick from even though I usually order the same dish every time hehe. Their Bistro Platter (scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries and a slice of toast) is my go to with the fresh squeeze OJ. My husband is the one who orders different things and this past weekend he ordered the chicken waffles that according to him were delicious, he also had a black drip coffee. The servers are nice. A very recomendable café on the verge of weehawken. Service was very kind, fresh ingredients and some selection coffee very well handled by the barista. Still the most important thing to me is if the place is clean and this was a 9/10 even when I got in about 3:00 pm. This small bakery and coffee shop is also a brunch place so i decided to visit. I went in ordered the food and waited. The only bad thing about this place is that the coffee took more than the food to make, And the coffee was nothing special. Ok except for that the price to food ratio was good. The food it self was fine, nothing extraordinary. They didn't ask or force to tip so that was a plus. The casher was nice and the inside of the cafe had a lot of places to sit for such a small place. The chairs were comfortable and you were not rushed to sit. The bathroom was clean. Not my type of place and will probably not be returning. Some patrons that were seated left because they were not being attended to. But again the food was good and the staff were friendly but a slight language barrier with some. New spot opened up! They are very friendly and nice atmosphere to have in the area. You enter to a clean and very modern chic new bistro. The menu has lots of variety and the seating area is comfy!
