Drinks definitely on the sweet side - so order accordingly!! Very cute setup here! Love that they have live music and fun events (we went for a cat adoption event). Been to Garden Coffee a few times and every time feels lively and buzzing - very community oriented feeling. Parking can be tough, so plan enough time!

the cutest cafe in Old Town ever! it's mainly outdoors, has tons of seating, has loads of plant decor, and even a photobooth ($7 for 2 prints). the drinks are pretty interesting, we loved the pistachio latte!

Nice relaxing time to sit back and it smell fresh plants and drink hot coffee an amazing location the away you from the busyness of Old Town in the middle of Old Town to sit and relax. Enjoyed myself in a little nook they had with a inspirational quotes on the wall. Lady who rang us up was very nice considerate and give us the options based on our taste.

What an awesome little hidden oasis. The vibe is amazing. It's like being in your own secret coffee shop/garden but it's in Old Town! It's so quiet we decided to sit and read while we enjoyed our coffees. The barista was very friendly and the service was super fast. My wife got a Matcha Latte and I got a shaken espresso. Both of them were really good.

Shaken espresso with cream cheese cold foam!

Stopped by before our mom walk in old town! Normally I always have a hard time choosing so I asked for a recommendation! I forgot her name but they were really sweet and recommend a shaken espresso with cream cheese cold foam! What an amazing experience it was exactly what I love and gave us the boost we needed for our walk! Definitely going back! Oh and they're berry hibiscus with lemonade was amazing and my daughter loved it! So good didn't have a chance to take a picture before!

This is such a cute dog friendly spot that has a shaded patio and full of repurposed furniture and plants. Staff is friendly and my seasonal iced biscoffee latte was amazing. Bring cash if you can bc there is a 50 cent upcharge for credit cards. Very calm and mellow space to do some work away from home

I was waiting to post this review, I absolutely love this place! It's small and cozy, the gazebo is beautiful and the entire set up is SURROUNDED with plants (obsessed). They have plenty of seating and cute lil shops within in the tiny plaza. They have a bookshelf dedicated to donation books & it's a pretty good variety. The staff is very nice, I originally wanted a matcha but they had ran out so I got the Biscoffee with Oatmilk instead and OH MY GOD!!! Such a great coffee They have a variety of options when it comes to syrups/ drinks itself/ and even pastries For my cup of coffee I paid $8.62, pretty pricey but good. I didn't ask if they had a military discount. I will be returning

This spot is very cute. You're literally vibing at a kitchen table in a garden patio where you get to pick out your mug. Adorable. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. That said, drinks are expensive and the quality is just... fine! This matcha looked pretty but was not that flavorful. Not bad but not outstanding.

Tucked away in old town, the moment you step in Garden Coffee, it feels like stepping into someone's charming backyard patio. Mismatched colorful chairs, bookshelves with books, lush greeneries everywhere and an adorable collection of succulents. There's even an old piano and espresso machine repurposed as plant holders and metal ironing board repurposed as tables. It's quirky and cozy, totally my vibe. I tried Jess's Favorite (a pistachio latte), which you don't often see on most coffee shops menus. It was excellent -- smooth, balanced, with just the right hint of pistachio, and not too sweet. If I were a local, I'd be here all the time.

Very cute venue. I loved all the greenery! I got an iced oatmilk matcha latte - good flavor and smooth. I took off a star for lack of food options - most of their pastry case was sold out when I arrived around 1045 am (Sunday), and the way the buildings surround the seating area, really picked up all the road noises and conversations of guests.

What a beautifully designed space! I absolutely loved the vibe and overall atmosphere, it feels cozy and is a great spot to study, work, or meet up with friends. There's plenty of seating available. I ordered a latte, which was good. I also tried a bagel with cilantro cream cheese, which just wasn't for me, probably not the right choice on my part. The staff is incredibly friendly and chatty, and I felt very welcome. I'd definitely come back.

I think I got the pistachio latte it was good

I have been wanting to come here for a while and I'm so glad I did. It is so cute. I've been going to Old Town for years and never noticed this place. The only thing I don't love is that you pick which mug you want and it's like I don't know give me the biggest one. As they are different sizes. So I do feel that they should have a standard size for the mugs. But other than that the place is great. I don't remember what drink I had as I went a few weeks ago but I remember I liked it it was a nice simple latte. My friend enjoyed hers as well. Parking was easy for us as we went on a weekday morning so there was a bunch of parking. If you were to go on a Saturday afternoon I imagine it would be very difficult to find parking. The prices seemed normal. My friend and I check out a different coffee shop or Cafe and this is one that I recommend. Check out my page if you want to see more recommendations. There are also some little shops like a thrift store and something else in the same little area. But all of Old Town is such a vibe. So do yourself a favor come here in the morning have a nice cup of coffee or a latte and then spend the next few hours in old town. And the workers were very nice.

My girlfriend found this spot on Instagram, and at first, I had my doubts. It looked tucked away, and the surrounding area seemed a bit outdated. But once we stepped inside, it was a completely different story. The place was beautiful -- filled with lush plants and soft music that made you feel like you'd stepped out of San Diego and into a peaceful retreat. I ordered the ham and cheese burrito, which was just the right portion -- filling but not too heavy, perfect since we had plans to walk around afterward. I also tried the Congress St. Shaken Espresso, which was perfectly balanced -- not too bitter and not too sweet. My girlfriend couldn't stop talking about her drink all day; she said it was the perfect blend. The staff was amazing -- friendly, attentive, and eager to help us pick drinks that matched our taste. They even took the time to explain a few options that would best suit what we were in the mood for. Overall, this place is an absolute must-visit whenever I'm in Old Town. Thank you again for the wonderful experience!

I came to this event for Sip & Swap, where you bring your own plant and swap it with others. I loved the idea and had never been to North Park Nursery before, so I was excited to visit for the first time. The space itself is huge, with plants everywhere, from the left side to the back to the right side. They also have stickers, cards, and all sorts of plant-related items. All the plants looked really healthy, and there's a wide variety to choose from. The event even had drinks, like an agave drink, which was free. The vibe was great, and there's outdoor seating where you can relax and admire the plants. Prices range from about $20 to $70, depending on the type and size of the plant. I especially loved the section in the back called "plants that need extra love." These plants are 50% off, perfect if you want to rejuvenate a slightly struggling plant, and they even come with a vase, so you can care for it on your own schedule. They also have pet-friendly plants, which is great if you have dogs, cats, or other animals at home. Overall, I really loved this place. If you're a plant person, I would definitely stop by if you're in the North Park area.
