Decided to give this place a shot as I've seen it in passing when going to my physical therapy and because I like trying new shops. I only got the iced americano so this is my only judgement for now but it certainly left much to be desired. It was overall pretty tasteless/flavorless in my opinion. Then the fact that it costs more than most other coffee shops around did not help. The young boy who helped me was certainly nice and the decor and layout of the shop is lovely but food/beverage wise, not sure this is a place I'll return unfortunately. read more

Today is my last day in San Diego and stopped in to Moe Coffee for a cold treat. The oat milk horchata chai is excellent. There a nice patio ( current situation) and a lovely inside room with ceiling fans, a counter and tables. The barista was nice and very fast with my drink. I'll be back! read more

Moe Coffee wasn't a great experience. The employees didn't seem to be attentive. It took a bit of a wait to get our order even though it wasn't busy. Our pastry was asked to be heated up but still served cold. The coffee was nothing special. The only highlight was it was a nice layout. Stopped by for a coffee and bite to eat at Moe's in North Park. They have been open since 2019 in this location but for some reason I never noticed it as it's on the corner and hidden behind some trees, making it hard to spot if driving by. The interior is spacious with an open feel thanks to the large open windows and with a lot of seating. The staff was very friendly and recommended some food options. I ended up choosing a flat white and a turkey avacado melt. The coffee was delicious and the melt had a very tasty toasted sourdough. It's been a while since I've been back but I came on a nice Saturday afternoon and got to sit and read out on the patio. It's still got really nice vibes and never too busy when I've been. I got an iced latte (comes standard with whole milk). Alternative milks (oat, soy and almond) available for $1 more. Tasted standard. Service was a bit slow but I think only one person was working. It's not super busy for a Sunday noon time. Parking wasn't easy for us but it's expected in north park area. There are many street parking so just have to walk a little. The cafe itself is incredibly cute and the environment and atmosphere is one of the best I have been to. I ordered the matcha latte, unsweetened, with coconut milk. It came out extremely hot. That is okay though (for me) but it's super watered down. No coconut milk taste at all and the matcha is not very good quality. It's somewhat more like a culinary grade matcha but slightly better, but definitely not to the average quality of a ceremonial grade. The color itself is dark green (oxidized more than likely). If I have to really try to compare, do you know the Sen Cha matcha bag in Costco? It's just slightly better than that. If you like the sen cha, this will be fine for you but I personally think that sen cha matcha is so bad for a drink, and it's only good for baking. I really want to give this a higher rating but the drink in my opinion is horrible. If it weren't for the atmosphere, this will be a 1 star review. I do want to come back to try something different. Maybe just bad luck for a bad drink. The churros white mocha my husband ordered was better but nothing impressive either. Very average. The food looks good though. Okay. I don't actually drink coffee, so I always feel a little weird reviewing coffee shops. But non-coffee drinkers frequent these places too! And Moe has lots of options for us, including teas, hot chocolate, golden milk, kombucha, and alcohol. Plus a surprisingly extensive food menu. I'll admit that nothing I've eaten or drunk here has blown me away, but I still like to come because of the atmosphere. The shop is open to the outside, with the patio space nicely shaded by the building's shadow for much of the day. But even if you're sitting inside you can enjoy the fresh air. And it's dog friendly! They offer free dog biscuits and pup cups for your furry friends. I also love that it's on the ground floor of an apartment building. I wish we had more commercial and residential combo buildings. And in this particular case I love that you can stay in the residential part of North Park to come here. Like an upgraded home away from home! read more

I have been here twice this past week and honestly could go here everyday if they were open later. 6pm for a cafe in this area is still pretty decent though so I'm not complaining. This cafe is in a residential neighborhood and on the corner of the block. Parking is not too bad but it's never perfect here. Their menu offers different brews of coffee, smoothies, kombucha, as well as pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and toasts to nosh. The first time I came here I ordered the iced latte but added the horchata chai flavor which was worth it (!) but for the sake of flavor did lose two of the four espresso shots. It was still really good. The second time I came here I ordered the iced latte again but the churro flavor, and let me tell you I felt every bit of those two extra espresso shots. The flavor was good but I definitely preferred the horchata chai one. I also ordered a turkey sausage sandwich since I was going to park my butt here for several hours to study. The sandwich was good but basic, not that I needed much more, and they gave some packets of Cholula hot sauce on the side. The workers are super friendly and always willing to share their recommendations. It's a very open space with seating inside and outside. There are outlets for those who are focused on work/homework. The tables are pretty comfortable also with lots of table space. They are dog friendly and I believe they offer hard kombucha, but otherwise no alcohol. read more

I was making some time before attending a fantastic sushi making class at the nearby CinKuni and my body was asking for caffeine to keep going. I already found a parking spot which was great to walk around and trying to find the closest coffee shop and found Moe and fell in love! Plants and coffee go hand in hand. Love this place for the ambience and the friendly staff! This is the PERFECT place to get work done, it has plenty of seating inside and outside, and a good amount of outlets!
