This is a purist's haven. Tons of coffee variants, a large assortment of flavorings, a huge selection of pastries, and a hip vibe. My barista was pleasant, they're dog friendly, and parking isn't too difficult. They put latte art on my togo cup, which I appreciate.

Matcha strawberry with cold foam. Absolutely delicious

I would say this place is pretty good. I came here, and I tried the manchester strawberry cold foam. It was rather delicious not too sweet. I like all the little trinkets that they have in here. They also have some treats as well. The prices are honestly fairly decent. This place has a good amount of seating. I'd definitely come back.

Good Omen has been our go to coffee shop when we are in the area. Their seasonal drinks are always delicious. When we aren't getting something new we stick to the usual like a vanilla latte and a strawberry matcha. The staff is very kind and always in a good mood. This cafe is pretty roomy with lots of space for working or hanging out. They also have a large selection of fresh pasteries and some food I believe.

I stopped in today to do some work. I had a decaf honey and cinnamon latte. Service was quick and kind. The tables are clean and there is plenty of space to sit and eat or work. It's walking distance to a lot of free street parking. It was quiet and calm, I will definitely be back.

Great spot for coffee in university heights area. Street parking is limited. Great welcoming service, informative and friendly. The espresso was good. Coffee was good the day prior but a second visit the following day sort of tasted watered down. Almost like where'd the coffee go? We were on a tight schedule and didn't have time for a remake but will make sure to taste before we leave next time. Besides that little hiccup it was good coffee the first time around. Cute inside seating area to enjoy the day. Would return.

    Iced dirty chai

We live nearby and love stopping by Good Omen Coffee -- it's become a regular stop for us on morning dog walks. I usually order a dirty chai, which is consistently great, but I've also tried their matcha, iced teas, and lattes -- everything is balanced and high quality. The staff is always friendly, no matter the time of day, and they move quickly without making the place feel rushed. Even during the morning rush, it's well-managed. The shop itself is bright and open with plenty of seating. I often see people working on laptops here -- it's not too loud, and I could definitely see this being a great remote work spot. At the same time, it has a warm, social vibe. You'll see friends meeting for coffee and conversation, and it never feels too busy or chaotic. They also feature a rotating selection of local roasters, which I love -- it keeps the menu interesting and supports smaller coffee brands. Plus, they offer a nice selection of pastries and other food items to snack on. Good Omen is dog-friendly, too. My pup always gets a treat, and they even have a Dog of the Month posted, which is just the sweetest touch. It's a consistently great neighborhood spot with good drinks, good energy, and a thoughtful local feel.

Banana bread latte and raspberry danish

This cafe was close to my hotel so I stopped in on my way out of town. And I'm glad I did! I love these little local artsy coffee shops. I got an iced banana bread latte since so many reviews talked about it and it was great. I also got a yesterday's raspberry danish (50% off) and it was also great! There were some other fruit pastries that were very tempting as well. I would definitely stop in again when in the area.

QUICK TAKE// Coffee shop conveniently in the heart of University Heights. Tons of seating and they sell little items from local artists too. FOOD// I got a special ICED MATCHA MOCHA - it personally wasn't my favorite drink in general and I wouldn't get it again. I would want to come back and give their coffee another shot. SERVICE// Very nice baristas and the coffee order came quick! VIBES// Larger open coffee shop with a good amount of seating. I really enjoyed that they have a mini section dedicated to selling local artist crafts.

Such a lovely spot!! The service was amazing... knowledge and welcoming! There were so many cute additions... dog wall of the month, jewelry for purchase, plants, and just a great vibe!! My banana bread coffee was excellent! The green tea was so refreshing and the pastry we split was Devine!! Love it!

DELICIOUS nitro cold brew here. Had already eaten but wished I had a bigger appetite because their baked items look amazing. They have some of their day old items available for a discount. Cool vibes, nice people, dog friendly, and good seating. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

Three words. BANANA BREAD LATTE. I have been obsessed with this drink ever since trying it at Omen Coffee!! Such a cute cafe with relaxed vibes. The line can get long on weekends but moves pretty quick, and it's worth waiting for! A great spot to work remote with both indoor and outdoor seating. The banana bread latte (or BBL as I call it) has the most delicious banana flavor that's not at all artificial tasting. It's rich, creamy, and perfect. MUST TRY!!

Stopped by for the banana bread latte and it was great! The place was pretty busy when I was there but there was plenty of seating both indoors and out and the line went pretty quickly. I ended up getting a day old pastry like another review had mentioned, for me it was a total fail the pastry dough was okay but the jelly in the middle was flavorless to the point that I threw about half of it away. The barista at the register was nice and was making sure that everyone was offered punch card. There is a cute little shopping area filled with local artists. This place is cute and the latte was great, not too sweet.

We love the decor & Artist corner. Plus doggy treats at the counter for our furry family.

Drinks - Iced Strawberry Pistachio Latte & Iced Banana Bread Latte Pastry - 50% off ham & cheese croissant My Partner & I were happy with our drinks. Me, especially, because I like a bit of sweetness with my coffee but still want it to taste like coffee. Something that so many places can't get right. We also were pleasantly surprised by the croissant. I inhaled it after letting him try some. This is maybe my 3rd or 4th time here & I'm happy to come back. Our Barista was very friendly & I love the corner of artist items for sale. We will definitely keep coming back. For us, a BIG PLUS is having a treat for our dogs that visit with us, so the treats at the counter are a nice little TREAT. Thank you for thinking of the dogs. *I keep forgetting to take a pic of our coffees but here's one of our foster that visited with us & their cute decor.

That said, the cashier was very sweet, and the dessert display looked beautiful and tempting. While the coffee didn't win me over, I'd still come back to give their desserts a try since they looked much more appealing than the drink I ordered. I caught up with a dear friend here recently while visiting the area, and it completely stole my heart. The space itself has the sweetest "cozy corner" setup--it is deeply welcoming and wonderfully family-friendly, making it feel like a little neighborhood sanctuary. As an Yelp Elite reviewer who is always on the hunt for unique flavor profiles and top-tier hospitality, this hidden gem did not disappoint. Here is a taste of what we tried: The Black Seed Cake: Rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. I loved it so much that I actually asked for an ice pack, boxed it up, and successfully carried it all the way back with me on my flight home to New York! It traveled like a dream. Gluten-Free Delights: One of the best things about Yikoyiko is how accommodating they are. Their gluten-free friendly selection is extensive without ever sacrificing flavor. We admired their adorable Nikoyiko cake bake and cute little cupcakes on display. Banana Bread: My friend ordered a slice of their banana bread, and it was wonderfully moist, comforting, and packed with homestyle flavor. Mochi & Nougat: They also carry charming artisanal treats, including a gorgeous little mochi adorned with a delicate pink edible flower (which I saved to enjoy later as a sweet souvenir) and traditional nougat candy. From the warm, Asian-inspired aesthetic to the incredible variety of sweets, Yikoyiko is a dream for anyone with a sweet tooth. Whether you are catching up with old friends, picking up specialty treats, or just looking to slow down and enjoy a quiet corner with a pastry, this place is pure magic.
