Today was my first time at Good Omen and it definitely won't be my last. The coffee shop is big, clean and with plenty of seating inside and outside. There is also plenty of street parking around the shop. The barista was so friendly and welcoming and had many great drink recommendations. I ordered an iced honey cinnamon latte with oat milk. The barista gave me a stamp card so I can fill it out when I purchase drinks for goodies. As I waited for my coffee, I noticed many art and trinkets for sale from local artists, and I also noticed a wall filled with polaroids of doggos. You can vote on a Dog of The Month which is the cutest thing EVER. The photos mention the dog's name and star sign :D The latte itself was delicious. It was a good balance of sweetness and coffee. I also got a birria breakfast burrito, which came with some salsa on the side. The salsa and burrito were yummy, but kind of skinny and tiny for their price. I tired myself out with my matcha drinks at my usual spot so I figured I'd get a coffee before work since it was my first night back for the week. I came to Good Omen Coffee because I remembered I had one of those punch cards from another location. Even though I came in 15 mins before closing, the service was still great! I got the banana bread latte with oat milk. I thought it was good but I'm also not a coffee connoisseur. I would come back again if in the area. Everything was great until I couldn't figure out how to unlock myself in the bathroom for 2 minutes. I freaked out with the two lock method on the door. We live nearby and love stopping by Good Omen Coffee -- it's become a regular stop for us on morning dog walks. I usually order a dirty chai, which is consistently great, but I've also tried their matcha, iced teas, and lattes -- everything is balanced and high quality. The staff is always friendly, no matter the time of day, and they move quickly without making the place feel rushed. Even during the morning rush, it's well-managed. The shop itself is bright and open with plenty of seating. I often see people working on laptops here -- it's not too loud, and I could definitely see this being a great remote work spot. At the same time, it has a warm, social vibe. You'll see friends meeting for coffee and conversation, and it never feels too busy or chaotic. Stopped by for the banana bread latte and it was great! The place was pretty busy when I was there but there was plenty of seating both indoors and out and the line went pretty quickly. I ended up getting a day old pastry like another review had mentioned, for me it was a total fail the pastry dough was okay but the jelly in the middle was flavorless to the point that I threw about half of it away. The barista at the register was nice and was making sure that everyone was offered punch card. There is a cute little shopping area filled with local artists. :( I was driving by and saw their very cool sign and awesome name, and knew I had to try it. So I drove to my office, recruited three coworkers, and drove back so we could all try it together. When you first walk in, it's very local community coffee shop vibes. We were all so hyped and we were exploring the local jewelry, the community bulletin board, the dog of the month wall. Amazing energy from the very beginning. Unfortunately, it only takes one person to ruin the experience for everyone. Our barista was not only totally uninterested in her job, she was rude to the point of gaslighting. I asked her if she knew about the cool interdimensional travel agency opening up next door and the sign I saw. She was like no, I don't pay attention to what's going on around here. I just work here. I asked her if I could buy one of their stickers, and she said "no, we're sold out". So I asked about if there was other merch, and she said not really. I asked how much the hoodie behind her was, and she said "I don't know. I have to look it up." And I'm like... Cool, please do. I even joked that I loved the sign and the branding and that it was why we came and decided to try the place, and she said "oh, ok." Like it was annoying to bring up. Then I ordered a banana bread latte with oat milk. My coworkers thought that sounded good and when they ordered got the same but with regular milk. She called out my drink. Then called out theirs but said with oat milk. So I was like.. is mine with oat milk? She said no, regular. I said, I wanted oat and they wanted regular. She said, I'm just going down the line. And I said, well I ordered first and ordered oat... They both wanted regular. Then she was like "I'm the only barista here and I only work one day a week, like I don't know what you want from me". Literally I just want the drink I paid for. I told her no big deal but they don't like oat and need it to be regular. She said, I have a lot of other drinks back here to make so I'm sure I'll get to theirs. Um what? Mind you: 1. She had already given us all drinks 2. Only one other person had come into the store and ordered a matcha I will never come back here or suggest it to another person despite how absolutely stoked I was about the space. This is a cool new coffee shop in University Heights on Park Blvd. I had a matcha latte with a touch of honey and their avocado toast with all the fixings. The avocado toast with all the bling was only $9, and the 12 oz matcha cost $5. The matcha latte, which I had hot, was certainly delicious and not overly sweet, but the touch of honey helped me to temper the bitterness. It was just grand. The avocado toast was really good, too, and came as two slices. I would have preferred a whole wheat toast, but sourdough will do with its good gut properties. The toast came handsomely layered with fresh avocado and thinly sliced tomatoes. The garnish of feta cheese and herb was just right. Good omen is in the spot that used to be Twiggs and I'm SO glad another local small business was able to take over. I stopped in on a Sunday early afternoon for a cup of coffee and tried their Banana Bread Latte (half sweet with oat milk). The latte was delicious and my barista made it perfectly with the right amount of sweetness. There is ample seating throughout and they even have a ton of beautiful plants for sale.
