I was in town with my family this past saturday. We stayed at the Hilton Garden (2 blocks away), which has an Uno restaurant attached to it; but being from Chicago, we wanted something different. There were other places to choose from, unfortunately none of them opened until after 4pm. It was 130pm while we walked around and found The Courthouse Cafe. A previous review stated they were unsure if it was a sitdown with wait service or if you had to order from the line. We were told that on weekends only they have staff to wait in the tables, during the week you order from the line and seat yourself. In my opinion the food was great. I ordered an egg sadwich with house chips (fried potatoes), which had more eggs than any restaurant from memory puts on a similar sandwich. All the house made muffins (we had cornbread and apple) were delicious. The portion sizes were large enough so we didn't leave hungry. All the staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. Wait times for food was normal. I'll say that it wasn't very busy when we were there, and I haven't eaten there during a busy week day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for all day breakfast or lunch. We had a party of 5 and the bill was under $50. Great value for the amount of food we got. Came in during the lunch hour and was pleased all around. Very friendly service, and great value for my meal. Had the spinach pie and Greek salad. Fresh, crunchy salad. I felt like I shouldn't eat everyast bite, but I did. Deliciousness for less than $8. read more

I literally just had the best sandwich ever. The tuna havarti was amazing and full of flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and the menu is extensive. I had no idea this place was here. It's directly across from the Worcester courthouse. I'll be back. I can't wait to try more things. read more

Wife had jury duty so we headed across the street for a bite. The small cafe was packed around lunch time, but the staff moved it along impressively. Prices are expensive to me for sandwiches and wraps. Tried the honey mustard grilled chicken with red onion, tasted great. Tried my polar diet coke, tasted like a seltzer no syrup, told the young girl at the counter, she said it's suppose to taste like that, really? Got another can still tasted like seltzer, this time I went to an older waitress she said I could swap it out with another drink. Good meal but would only go back if I had to go to court, also parking is hard to find. read more

Confusing experience. I walked into the front door to a list of specials and healthy smoothie drinks on a board by the register. The employee asks if I want to take a seat (this place is for either sit down or take out) so I decide I will. I'm brought a menu that doesn't mention any of the smoothies and given a specials list that is completely different than the white board up front. I have to get up several times to look at the boards to decide what I want because it's not in the menu they give you when you sit down. What's the point in being offered a seat if the customer will need to get up to see the full range of options regardless? read more

What can I say! Lisa is fantastic! We were supposed to host an Adoption Breakfast Buffet last Thursday for our new grandson when the court was cancelled due to snow. After much deliberation, a judge fit us in for Friday morning and Lisa was just great handling the last minute change--especially since it was for 28 people. We enjoyed their delicious hot breakfast buffet. The food came out fresh and hot just minutes after we arrived from the courthouse across the street. Lisa and the staff were kind, friendly and very efficient. The waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream were a big hit, as were the fresh bakery items, eggs, home fries, french toast, sausage & bacon. Some street parking available if you're early, also parking garage nearby. If we lived nearby, this would be our go-to cafe. read more

I had jury duty and ate there 3 times. I got food off the cart and in the cafe and there was hair in the food all 3 times. Never again!!!

The food here is generally very good, but the portions are somewhat on the small side for the amount of money that is charged. I use to eat here quite often when working downtown (mostly because it was chosen by my coworkers), and always found the staff to be pleasant. read more

Very good food! I was in town on a Saturday morning for a convention and wanted to grab something easy. I was expecting a greasy spoon diner, but what we experienced was a good quality breakfast. Stopped in for lunch nice looking place and the food was excellent fresh haddock and chips, my colleague had a salad with homemade dressing it was more than enough for two very reasonable priced for quality I definitely will return great find! It's ok here. I've definitely had better for lunch. I ordered over the phone for takeout today and I have never been here before. The place is large and there is a register when you first walk in...you would assume that's the register for takeout orders, right? We stood there for 2 minutes without any acknowledgment until my husband saw another register down past the huge menu on the wall so we went down there. The lady behind the counter was sweet but seemed a bit overwhelmed. She was taking phone orders, taking a large order from customers eating inside and trying to get us our order. I ordered a special - Caesar salad with coconut shrimp. The shrimp were very tasty and the lettuce was nice but I didn't love the dressing. It was just ok. My husband got the Cape Codder - a wrap with chicken salad. He said it had a lot of mayonnaise and didn't love it. For $18 for an average lunch we probably won't be back. read more

The service was amazing. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and smiley. The decor was cute and everything was clean. As a person eating a mostly plant-based diet who has trouble finding vegetarian dishes in this area, I was thrilled to see so many alternative options, including breakfast anytime! I got the Mediterranean salad. It didn't knock my socks off, but it was good, and healthy, and it certainly got the job done. I appreciated the addition of capers, which you don't always see. I look forward to going back and trying one of the many styles of veggie burgers and also the falafel wrap, another fairly hard-to-find item in this area. With the nice little walk away from my office, the friendly faces, and the yummy food options, it was the perfect lunch break. I will definitely back! read more

wandered into this place, as my cousin and I were looking for a place to have lunch and sit and talk near the Hilton Garden Inn, while her husband was on business. We were expecting a so-so deli, and were pleasantly surprised! we loved the food, the people (owner esp) and the whole experience. We didn't even look further than the specials. The Greek veggie burger, w/ feta, tomato, spinach on a perfectly toasted bun was absolutely fabulous. And I couldn't believe the choice of about 8 homemade soups! Too bad I live too far from Worcester to make this a frequent hang-out. Otherwise, I'd be there daily. read more

Garden Fresh Courthouse Cafe on Main Street in Worcester is AMAZING! I was surprised at how beautifully appointed the store was (it doesn't look as nice on the outside). They have super friendly staff and mouthwatering food! Loved it, loved it, loved it. The ample portions were too large for me to eat in once lunch sitting - score (get to eat leftovers). We liked it so much I took my husband and kids their on Saturday for Breakfast... which was just as great - with a different atmosphere on Saturdays than the hustle bustle of the work week. So glad to touchdown with my laptop and enjoy their capuccino and FREE wi-fi. What a great group of people...serving tasty food.... can't wait to go back! read more

Every restaurant has a bad day, however you would think being just a few blocks from the DCU Center they would have some sort of plan to handle a crowd. I wish I could review the food but after one hour and fifteen minutes waiting all we got was a bill. The food never arrived. There was no apology, no approximate wait time. They kept the takeout going and ignored an entire section of tables. The orange juice was good and they had free wi-fi. I informed the staff that my four year old who hypoglycemic and asked if they could maybe get his hamburger out but it fell on deaf ears. When I went to approach others in the restaurant they ran and hid behind the counter. My poor child ended up having a hot dog from concession stand and the people who were next to us were still waiting as we finally just gave up. They ended up excusing us of the bill for the coffee, orange juice and emergency chips I took to feed my child something but not because they seemed sorry they were just too disorganized to figure out the bill. read more
