Parking was a challenge, but we opted for valet and, at only $10, it was totally worth it! We originally planned to check out Bar Eden for happy hour but accidentally walked into Paradiso, which is connected. Bar Eden is a little smaller and has more of an intimate, speakeasy vibe, while Paradiso has a gorgeous, lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the happy hour specials were perfect for afternoon drinks--cocktails under $10! The margarita was delicious, and the other cocktails were just as pretty as they were tasty. One thing to know: it seems there's only one restroom, so the wait can be lengthy. BUT once you get inside, you'll understand why...because it's basically a girl's dream photo booth! Definitely plan a little extra time for the bathroom selfies. We repeatedly asked for refills and bread, first politely and then several more times, yet she acted as if we weren't there. When she finally returned, she slammed the cups down in front of my parents, which was disrespectful and completely unprofessional. If you don't want to be at work, that's your choice, but customers should not have to experience that frustration. A server's job is to make guests feel welcome and respected. I also noticed that many of the guests around us were offered refills, to-go drinks, and birthday desserts, while our requests were ignored. It was my family member's birthday, and even after asking multiple times about a birthday cake--offering to pay for it if necessary--I was completely ignored. As a Hispanic family, it was difficult not to notice the difference in how we were treated compared to others around us. Whether intentional or not, the experience left us feeling unwelcome and embarrassed. What should have been a special birthday celebration turned into a disappointing memory. Super tasty sandwich that was big enough to feed 2 people. My daughter had the chilaquiles with birria. Lots of flavor and she enjoyed it.
