A Happy Hour Hidden Gem in Dallas!…read more We took a day trip to Dallas to see the circus and decided to pop into a nearby bar for drinks and small bites. Parking was a challenge, but we opted for valet and, at only $10, it was totally worth it! We originally planned to check out Bar Eden for happy hour but accidentally walked into Paradiso, which is connected. Bar Eden is a little smaller and has more of an intimate, speakeasy vibe, while Paradiso has a gorgeous, lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the happy hour specials were perfect for afternoon drinks--cocktails under $10! The margarita was delicious, and the other cocktails were just as pretty as they were tasty. One thing to know: it seems there's only one restroom, so the wait can be lengthy. BUT once you get inside, you'll understand why...because it's basically a girl's dream photo booth! Definitely plan a little extra time for the bathroom selfies. We didn't try the food this time, but the ambiance and music were on point. The outdoor seating is beautiful and elegant, although it was way too hot for daytime lounging during our visit. Overall, I'd absolutely come back--especially for happy hour! Great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

This review is directed at one specific server who chose to ignore our table for most of the evening. We repeatedly asked for refills and bread, first politely and then several more times, yet she acted as if we weren't there. When she finally returned, she slammed the cups down in front of my parents, which was disrespectful and completely unprofessional. If you don't want to be at work, that's your choice, but customers should not have to experience that frustration. A server's job is to make guests feel welcome and respected. I also noticed that many of the guests around us were offered refills, to-go drinks, and birthday desserts, while our requests were ignored. It was my family member's birthday, and even after asking multiple times about a birthday cake--offering to pay for it if necessary--I was completely ignored. As a Hispanic family, it was difficult not to notice the difference in how we were treated compared to others around us. Whether intentional or not, the experience left us feeling unwelcome and embarrassed. What should have been a special birthday celebration turned into a disappointing memory. I hope management sees this review and takes it seriously so that no other family has to experience the same treatment.

They banged the whole time , which we didn't know it was them until we opened the door. There was five of us, and once we opened up the door, they were telling us to watch our mouths because I yelled at them asking did they work there , obviously confused what was going on. They then decided to kick us out because we had too many people in the restroom. I only got one of the security guards name his name is Anthony another man in his 40s who had an accent decided to put his hands on me and push me. We were all so confused why we were getting kicked out. I will never be going back! That is absolutely insane. We did not take a long time either and they said it was gonna take too long if we all went together, which makes no sense. We took MAYBEEE 5 to 7 minutes in the restroom. The owner needs to get a grip on his security guards. Especially the ones that look like their on drugs sneaking people in from the back and the one man who put his hands on me for absolutely no reason!!! BEWARE LADIES: You cannot go to the bathroom with anyone or you will get kicked it and man handled !!!

Honest Review Restaurant: 4/5…read more The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it has a nice atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating, which is a plus. The music wasn't too loud, so it was easy to have a conversation with both our server and the people at our table. They had the UFC and a soccer match playing while we ate, which made for a fun environment. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my husband thought the restrooms could use an upgrade. We also had our two small children with us, and they immediately offered us a high chair. They have menu options for kids as well, which was appreciated. Food & Drinks: 3/5 I'm always on the hunt for really good Mexican and Tex-Mex food, especially tacos. I don't think the food was bad at all, but some of the dishes reminded me of bar food, which tends to be on the salty side to encourage customers to order more drinks. I asked my husband what he thought because I'm generally not a fan of salty food, and he agreed with me on some of the dishes. The tacos were well presented and had a generous amount of meat. The beans were delicious, but the rice was a little too salty for our taste. The salsas also needed more heat--especially the classic orange salsa. It should have had a lot more kick! They were also a bit salty. I did enjoy the quesabirrias, and I wouldn't mind coming back to try other items on the menu. I ordered a margarita on the rocks, and I really enjoyed it. I'm usually not a fan of margaritas because they're often too sour or too salty, but this one was well balanced. Service: 5/5 (Me) | 4/5 (My Husband) I thought the service was excellent. The servers were very attentive, and that's always something I appreciate. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived, and two different servers checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. My husband joked that they came by a little too often because he just wanted to eat without interruptions. Even so, he agreed that the service was very good. They even made fresh lemonade for our kids, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall I'm not sure how long they've been open, but it's a nice spot with a welcoming atmosphere. They also have a bar area, so we'll probably come back to try more of their drinks and other menu items. I always believe newer businesses benefit from constructive feedback, and that's the spirit of this review. Overall, I think they're doing a good job. I'd recommend giving them a try--maybe order a couple of items first and see if it's your kind of place. Everyone's taste is different, and you may end up finding a new favorite

We will be back to support this local restaurant in Duncanville, happy to find this great place!
