The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the sausage was surprisingly flavorful without being overly salty--a big plus since I'm usually sensitive to salty sausage. My biggest issue with the dish was that there was simply too much sauce, and unfortunately, the fresh basil that was supposed to be included was missing from my plate. It became so uncomfortable that I actually had to leave and come back later to pick up my husband and friend after they finally received their food. Sadly, I never even got to eat dinner that night. Cinco de Mayo is a major event every year, so there was plenty of time to prepare for the crowd and overall experience.
