I am 100% done with Ace Hardware. I have been looking for a particular rake for awhile now. Kept checking the Ace Hardware website and they show which stores have inventory. Found one online and it says there were 3 at this location. Go in and guy asks if he can help. Show him website and he says, "Never seen one of those here before". I tell him it's on the stores website!!! He tells me to never trust the website. Sounds good. Advice well taken. My business will go elsewhere. Joke of a store and business. read more

Small but mighty they've got most things covered but may only have fewer brands and options than larger chains. IMO it has a Mom & Pop feel with the smaller size of the store and the personable employees. They have an astounding range of drink & camping items such as Stanley cups & bowls. I personally go there specifically to buy Meat Church spices which were previously sold online only & curated by pit master Matt Pittman. I get it, depending on what you're looking for Home Depot will have a larger selection. If you're not interested in an adventure and hours of searching then Ace is the place. ;) Their service is always good, and since they're smaller and more invested in the situation you typically will get better advice and investment into your scenario. I called the store this morning because I didn't want to drive around town searching for a specific spray paint I was looking for. Brandon answered the phone "Good Morning, Ace Hardware. How can U help?" I asked if he had Rust-oleum Universal Gold spray paint. He asked if he could put me on hold while he looked. He came back to the line and informed me they care two different ones and listed them. I told him I needed the Pure Gold and he said he'd put it behind the counter for when I came in. Very disappointed in my experience at this location especially with their management. I came in on 1/17 to place an order for a chip key transponder for my car. Nacho and I believe it was Joe, who helped me was super nice. The computer had some glitches which wasted 15 minutes of my time waiting around because I was trying to be patient with them. Finally got the order through and they said it should come in a week so they'll call me next Friday 1/26 to come in. Fast forward to 1/26 never received a call so I assumed it may be a day or so late. Called the following week on 1/29 to check on the status and Mike, who helped me out on the phone could not locate the order. He called back later after finding the order and told me he found the Key Chip and it has been here but don't understand why no one had contacted me to come in and get the key cut yet, he apologized for the ball dropping on their end. I told him it's okay and schedule to come in this Saturday 2/3 at 10:30. I got there 10 minutes before the appointment date, waited about 5 minutes and Mike himself asked what's the name under? I gave him my name and he said I am not on the calendar. He said there was a note from the manager initials T.T. saying the appointment was moved because the customer said he won't be coming in. WTF? I never called back to say anything of that sorts. He said he doesn't understand why the note is there but that I was not on the calendar. By this point I am very much over it so I asked him to refund my money for the order. He processed it and apologized to me saying that all this happened to no fault of my own. Well yeah- I didn't anything wrong. Whatever is going on in the back end of their system, with their management- is a disaster. I already wasted my time waiting around ordering the damn thing, then waiting for it, and have to call to check in on it and drive out on my day off just to not get what I paid for. The in-person customer service of the staff that assisted me were great but something on the backend is screwed up. You guys will continue to lose customers if this kind of situation keeps happening. Figure it out and don't waste people's time. read more

Came in the store with 6 minutes to closing, totally acceptable for retail. Didn't know exactly what I needed and so the big and tall worker with the hobo beard told me I needed to hurry up. Then he has the balls to tell me that "i need to do my homework". Isn't your slogan helpful hardware folks? More like Ace is the place for miserable middle aged angry fucks that dont give you 3 minutes to look for the godamn oil filter I need. read more

So after many years of just going to Home Depot I realized that every one in the world needs a more small hardware shop. I had one the I loved for years as well for the knock offs and or smalls the the larger stores don't have. Sad to say the old place aka red ball true value is gone. I normally don't drop names on other reviews but on this one I hope it doesn't hurt to bad. I was on the search for a very particular screw and lock washer that I knew the bigger places wouldn't have so when I saw my old place was gone of course I pulled this place up on YELP and got directions. I came in to a very helpful man at the door. I showed him the screw and he informed me that they may and or not have it in stock. So I think that it is a tad bit further but the staff is just as knowledgeable and nice and helpful as my go too. If I had to lose a staple I can only hope that this place picks up the hole and after the first experience with them I think they may very well do that. Thanks for the help guys. And I will definitely be checking back when I have a hard time finding a item that may not be available in other stores. And the cashier told me about a rewards program that I wish I would have had time to fill out. He said it would only take your number email and that they don't share any information with third parties. Just for email coupons and such. read more

They didn't have exactly what I was looking for ( was trying to fix gutter) but he found me an alternative that would work and had no problems answering my questions as to what other things I would need too. Decided to do away with Home Depot and Lowe's due to DEI. Shame, I had to drive a ways to find my local ACE. Polite welcoming and helpful. My only drawback I'd limitations on stock. I have said it a zillion times. If you are nice to my dog then that is an automatic golden ticket and get out of jail free and permanent residency in my good book. Ace is nice to my dog and welcomes her into their store. The Mister needed some VERY expensive hardware/screws that are all self serve and a la carte. They have a ton of different sizes of hardware, each in it's own box. Your supposed to take what you need and drop it in a plastic bag and write down the ##. When it was time to pay for his handful of screws I had to make sure I heard the price right. $36.00 worth. But the cashier reminded me I saved $6.00 with my check in. Okay you win as I handed over my cash. They have other stuff here. Very Random stuff like Tide, Candy, Pretzels that poop spray for the toilet. Staff here is very nice. Love this place. I was trying to put up ceiling mounts with a socket wrench and drill. It wasn't happening. The owner/manager here is always very helpful and so are the employees. He didn't try to sell me anything but he recommended an impact driver. Luckily they were having a sale on Milwaukee impact drivers. Got the job done quickly and bought some adapters. Would like to see if store manager can contact me directly regarding a sale that was made Friday 20th. Normally a purchase is made and given due to an error on location of products with a price show. I was asked for a phone number but didn't have one so then I was told if you had a phone number the price would have dropped. Then I was asked if the sticker was yellow or white. WATCH WHAT YOU ARE CHARGED. This is 3rd time we have been charged a HIGHER price at the register than shown on shelf. Wouldn't be so bad if the person at the register could correct the problem instead incoveniecing the CUSTOMER. Always have to wait for manager who is helping other customers.. This Hardware store is generally priced higher than Home Depot, with less selection, but they are closer to my house and are more available for questions, which is convenient, plus I feel like I'm supporting local business more by going to Ace. I will usually go to Ace first, then Home Depot if they can't help me. Yesterday, I went in to return an item for my 76 year old mother so that she can shelter in place safely. She didn't have the receipt, but purchased it 24 hours ago. The man at the counter told me he needed the receipt, and offered me no other options, so I left and told my mother that they were unwilling to accept the return. She called and they told her to come back and they could give her store credit. When she got there, they were able to look up her account, print the receipt and accept the return. All's well that ends well, right? I guess, but why wasn't I given those options for store credit or looking up my account for a receipt? Why did it take my high risk, diabetic mother to have to come in and endanger herself for a resolution? These thoughts have me seriously considering driving further to home depot in the future. Better price, selection, and a return policy that's not at the discretion of the employee. read more

She was very knowledgeable and got the overall impression that she could take whatever questions I threw her way. The store is in a shopping plaza so there was plenty of parking. Please don't order a key fob from here unless you are willing to wait two months for delivery, not only that but they won't call you when it gets there, not only that, but when it gets there they will have you wait hours on end. I don't share feedback often, although I was so pissed off I think it'll be good to allow others to be aware as well. Management, and his little associate team (which obviously have clearly been unprofessionally trained) into discriminating work etiquette. Walking in the door they're all huddled at the counter doing nothing.. whatever, no biggie to me since I know what I'm there for, and know where there at if I need them... and instantly downhill... when They all stopped asked if I needed help with anything, I answered and thanked them. Kind enough, then they were disbursed around the store to hover over my every step not allowing me to shop. I hear the associate answer into his headset that he has me covered and won't let me out of site. The battery on my key fob needed to be changed out. On my way home I decided to stop off at Ace Hardware. I was greeted by Mike. Mike knew exactly what battery my key needed and he even put the new battery in. He handed me my keys and asked me to make sure it worked. I went out and it worked! Mike cleaned off all of the dust around the fob to make sure it didn't get into the battery area. Mike was awesome and helpful and patient. I would definitely go to Ace Hardware again. I go to Ace when I need get something quick. If you need things for around the house, odds are Ace has it. I find it quicker and easier, especially since the store is smaller and all the associates are literally a "help" away. I've been coming here since they opened and have never been disappointed. Well, my son who is a boy scout, is working on his eagle project. My first thought was to go to Ace and see if they could help. The manager, Paul, was more eager to help with some items that he needed. He told my son to get a list together and he would try to get what he could. A couple of weeks later we came back and found out Paul had an emergency leave and wouldn't be back to work for a couple of weeks. We explained our situation to assistant manager Danielle, and of course she said no problem. What a great group of associates. Every associate in the store was super helpful and very supportive of my son. I like Homedepot, but most the time you don't get that one on one attention. That smile when you walk in the store and when you walk out. It's like going to a friend shop. Ace might not have everything, but they have what I believe is the most important thing. Personal touch.
