There are 16 beers on tap made with local ingredients! Some options change with the seasons and this a great place to visit year-round for their large and spacious indoor tasting room. There is also outdoor seating out back. If you like blueberry, the Blue Jersey is fantastic! An easy to drink wheat with light blueberry flavor. We had a wonderful bartender, Chelsea, who had great recommendations, is a dog lover, and so cool! Snacks are available for purchase or bring your own food! Take home cans or fill up your growler. Stopped by this brewery while I was in town for a conference. The place felt like home as soon as I walked in. Kinda divey but not. Sat at the bar to peruse the beer options. Decided to go with a flight, thus had to select 4 beers. Overall, I didn't love any of the beers on tap, but I enjoyed trying out my flight. Went for trivia a couple weeks ago with some buddies and had a great time. The main dining room is wide open and has lots of tables, which is helpful when accommodating large groups. The beers were tasty as well, I particularly enjoy how the options are limited (they have around 10ish beers on tap), it really helps me personally with the decision fatigue. There is no food here, although I think food trucks often come during busier weekends. Great place to have a crisp beer with friends. read more

From the outside, it looks like it was a diner in a previous life. Very spacious on the inside, probably room for 200 people. Low ceiling with office ceiling tiles, two different bars, a faux fire place, hand-drawn individual chalkboards for each beer on offer, a Photo Booth, and a view of the brewing equipment rounds out the decor. My girlfriend and I were there on a Saturday night for the first time and there were only about 20 people plus a few dogs. Mostly regulars as they all had their mug club beer glasses. We each had a flight and a regular pint. Nice variety in the taplist, including a maibock, an imperial IPA, a porter, a blueberry wheat, a saison, etc. The beers we had were all pretty good with one notable exception: the Philly Dilly. I love dill pickles and was intrigued, but quickly found out there is a reason you don't see pickle beers at any other breweries in NJ. This thing was vile. The stuff of nightmares. Try it for the novelty if you have to, but otherwise avoid at all costs. According to their website, they offer a darts league, a corn hole league, they have a house band, and host numerous fundraising events for the community. Stopped here while spending a long weekend in Atlantic City. Brewery is spacious and welcoming. Lots of choices on tap. The Hot Peach Summer was exceptional - most spicy beers that I have tried sacrifice flavor for spice but this one has a good balance. Also had Pop's Wit which is an easy drinkable beer. Also had Blue Jersey and Philly Sour - both very good. It's not usual for me to find several beers at one brewery that I like but Garden State is going on my NJ Top 10. read more

The brew-tender could actually try to have a bit of a personality to make it better - like normal communication skills or for example telling customer that they won't replace a beer that my sister didn't like at all and I misordered - but charge me for another one - just say nothing and don't make eye contact. read more

We decided to come today because they were having the "May the 4th be with you" celebration and a food truck we were interested in was gonna be there. Somebody told me this brewery was good. They were very very wrong. We stopped here on a Saturday it was pretty slow, but then some locals came in raving about the beer. I guess when you get used to a nasty flavor you get used to it. There was nothing good on tap, it was borderline homebrew. And the chemical smell when you walk in is unbearable. Very spacious and quaint as soon as you walk in. There are are several beer options that tend to favor cream ales and IPA's. They do different variations and also have sours. The coffee cream ale was pretty good as it added flavor to a usually táselas cream ale for me. Favorites include the saison, and friar tuck. They have some pretzels at the bar for 8$ and local menus on a column as the only methods of getting food. This does slightly disappoint because delivery times vary. This meant we had the option of waiting 1 hour and 15 min for delivery or picking it up in 30 min. This place is comfortable enough where you could lose an hour plus, but you should know going into it. Star only lost for convenience but i don't know if this is due to NJ regulation or they don't have a kitchen. I love that they support other local business' read more

Here I sit, all tipsy-like. Time for a review! ;) Awesome, large, really chill, not-warehouse-like space. Perfect for weddings, parties, etc. Not a bad beer in the bunch (and we've tried them all and I HATE lagers and I was STILL impressed by the super-drinkable "Cream of the Crop." Weird location from the outside-looks like a former diner-but was actually a former a discoteque! History!- but really cool inside. The Brian-Bryan-Jayson trilogy of owners (I hear there's more?) did hood here. IPA fan? Me, too! Also: Blue Jersey?! Well done. Made new friends at the bar who also like good other breweries. I tried ALL their beers in a couple of flights. Everything was okay. Sorry nothing really special on the beer side. BUT I'm a beer geek, so rough on my ratings which you can see on (Untappd - Toryvalben). The size of the place was HUGE, so party ready. The service was very nice and solid, so added star for that! This Brewery is right off the Parkway! It's going to be a stop every time I'm in the area or passing through. They had a great range of beers! I'm in the mood for lighter sweeter beers so this visit was sours and wheats. First the Blue Jersey was light and refreshing. This German American Wheat is 5.0% and has a soft blueberry forward smell and taste. It's a light and refreshing wheat bier! The Peach Bound was another German American Wheat and is 5.0%. Similar to the Blue Jersey the Peach Bound has light peach fragrance and taste up front but the peach flavor almost ripens in your mouth. The Cherry Amaretto Sour is 5.0% and marketed as a American Wheat kettle soured. It had a nice sweetness without being too tart. It was very refreshing! With cherry in the title I expected it to be much more tart. The Cooks Corner Cream Ale is a 5.2% Cream Ale which is very light beer but has a very bold coffee taste. I was surprised how flavorful the Cooks Corner is and enjoyed the coffee flavor it carried. Spicy Peach Habanero is a 5.0% German American Wheat. It's actually the Peach Bound (see above) matured over Habaneros. The spice adds lots of flavor and not too much heat keeping the beer in an easy to drink category. (More like a black pepper heat then a Tabasco heat- describing heat not flavor) It's delicious and cuts some of the sweetness out of the Peach Bound. Very friendly staff! Looking forward to visiting again! Some other notes: The crawlers they use are aluminum cans that have twist off tops and kept the beers fresher. Being able to replace the cap kept the beers carbonated longer. The company that produces these cans does not recommend refilling them but the twist cap allowed me to enjoy a flight at home and then drink them in the order of my choosing without a 32oz commitment because the cap kept them carbonated. Merchandise is fairly priced. Less then $20 Tees, Tank, Hats, Mug, Pint Glass, Sticker. Growler 32oz and 64oz($10) Specialty bottles. See you guys soon! read more

If you're looking for a local spot this is it. The staff is super friendly. I'm not a big beer drinker but came here to meet some friends. I told the waiter, I was okay but he insisted on having me try some, so I had a sampling of the blue jersey, their coffee beer (forgot it's name), and pepper beer (forgot the name). I expected the coffee beer to be a stout and it wasn't it was super light and actually pretty tasty. The blue jersey is their most popular, super light. I use to frequent the old Deleratos in the mid 80's when I went to Stockton college. The place was really dark and nasty but we still had a good time. It's been closed for a long time but it's now the Garden State Beer Company. Boy has things changed. The place is big and beautiful inside. A lot of work went into the redesign. They have card and board games to play and lots of space for a party. The service was really excellent, but what about the beer you ask? I tried 4 different beers and also was able to taste a 5th that we bought in a growler for dinner that evening. Blue Jersey - A blueberry wheat beer that had a nice blueberry aroma but was very light. I enjoyed it and it would make a good summer beer for sitting by the pool. I'm not a fan of blueberry beers so this one surprised me. The group I was with enjoyed this one. Cream of the Crop - A very nice tasting cream ale. I enjoyed this one also. Old Ordinary - An English Pale Ale. Probably my least favorite. Leeds Point Wicked Porter - A nice porter with some good flavors. Nucky's Emphirial IPA - My favorite of the bunch which a friend of mine agreed with. I would definitely recommend GS Beer Company. read more

My girlfriend and I are beer nerds who ae always looking for a new brewery, so she suggested GSBC as a new spot. We did get there and the front parking lot is under construction, so you need to park in the rear for now. We walked in and the place is huge. It has a lot of tables to sit at, couch in the corner to watch tv, and a decent size bar. We were welcomed with smiling face and hello from the bartender, so very friendly here. We decide on a flight to get started with a flight, and they were cheap for four small pours. The beer was really good here! The Emperial IPA and Leeds Point were the highlight beers for me since I like bold/in your face flavors. The Cream of the Crop and Blue Jersey were good easy going beers for those who are not fan of dark beers or IPAs. There is no food here, except the pretzels at the bar. You can order food though since they have menus, or bring your own! This is an awesome brewery in Galloway that I hope to return to soon! read more

Since I was in the area, a friend asked me to stop by here and pick up some beer for him. What became a small purchase and quick detour became a great beer break and much larger purchase because of Chelsea's high level of kickassness. She made us feel so welcome and was so helpful I ended up staying for a beer (I never drink beer) and buying a whole bunch of their stock for family and friends. She was patient, knowledgeable, and quiet frankly just super cool. In a time when so many establishments forget that they are there to serve their customers, dealing with Chelsea was a refreshing and welcome change. Absolutely amazing! I would love to frequent this place but I'm pretty far away lol my favorite beer was cream of the crop which is a crisp refreshing beer something to have on a hot summer day. If I could give zero stars I would. The beer is pretty much undrinkable, I gave this place a second chance and still it came up well below average. The second time ,still undrinkable beer. Been to a lot breweries. Was very excited for a brewery to be in my area. However, when it opened I wasn't impressed. Space not utilized. Beer was ok. Felt like a cafeteria. Decided to at least give a try. I work late most days I look forward to having a beer after work during the breweries hours. Every time I went in the place ordered a beer was told it was last call and two seconds later the girl with the blond hair was shutting everything down turning up lights then turning them off pretty much telling me to go when I just purchased for a brewery a very pricey pint($8). I really wanted to love this place but after 4 visits and getting booted out I will take my business elsewhere. read more
