Yummy drinks with awesome staff! The woman working was very nice and let us taste anything we wanted. I was feeling like something light and refreshing and asked to try the blackberry seltzer, she gave me the 2 seltzers to taste, and I ended up going with the peach one. We had my 5 year old with us and he had fun playing with a magnet counting game for a bit. Then we switched to playing sorry! On our way out the bartender gave us a few more samples of a beer that would be on tap at the restaurant we were heading to. She also gave us some great recommendations of other spots to try. read more

Nice small venue with a great line up of beers. Always a variety of styles to choose from. Served as flights, 10oz or pints. Crowlers and Hrowler fills available. They have packaged pretzels available and a home brewed root beer. Menus are available for local businesses for delivery to here seating is at the bar, a variety of low and high top tables. Covered outside seating is provided. Dogs are welcome outside only. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. All of the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. read more

Fantastic small brewery near the shore, easy to get to for a night out if you're staying in Ocean City and get tired of the tee tolling vibe of the island. My girlfriend and I have been here several times over the years. Most recently stopped in last night around 7pm on a Sunday and the place was pleasantly crowded. We sat at the bar the whole night watching the Phillies game (sigh... they lost) as the two friendly bartenders kept everybody's beers flowing. Never had to wait long for a refill. Great selection of beer: 11 beers on tap plus two hard seltzers, so something for everybody. Excellent variety as well, as there was a stout, a saison, a Pilsner, a few different IPA's, a blonde ale... even a 10.5% barrel aged barley wine for the bravest and heartiest of souls. I tried a flight as well as two additional single pours and loved all of it. Overall it has a really nice vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, and really good beer, so definitely a place to check out whether you're a local, a shoobie, a Philly native with a beach house... etc. we'll definitely be back and look forward to what they brew next! read more

It was nice enough. The beers are tasty. I had a Kolsch other got different brews. All were happy with what they got. The place is cozy with a smallish bar and a few high-top tables spread around. The brewery is right in front of you as we sat at the high-tops, and we had a short walk through on our self-guided tour. I thought the chairs with the high tops were not very comfortable. I've never seen a brewery fill up on a Wednesday at 4:00 pm so fast! This place is amazing. The beers are excellent and the service even better. We arrived right as they opened at 4:01 and everyone in our party of 6 was able to find a beer they loved (quite a challenge for this group). This review is written keeping in mind that the Somers Point Brewing Company just opened. If I hear that they improve, I will certainly go back and update my review accordingly. The Somers Point Brewery was the 82nd brewery that I have visited in New Jersey alone. Since I was staying over in Atlantic City the night before, I made it a point to stop there on my way home. Somers Point is a really quaint town, and they definitely needed a brewery. I was impressed with how nicely laid out the decor of the brewery is. I got there early on a Saturday before it got too busy. The crowd is not snobby, but they are not friendly either. The staff members did not greet me and ask me how I enjoyed the experience. The only time I was spoken to was to be given the quick "tour" and what I wanted to order. This is not a place where a blue collar guy can just swing by after working the construction job and schmooze with the other local guys in town. Friendliness is essential to breweries in my experience, so that lowers the rating one star. One piece of advice I would give is that the owners should advise their staff members to make sure to act welcoming to their guests. The beers are still very new. They lack layers of sophistication, and they also lack a distinctive, recognizable style. I'd say that they could be considered "Entry-level." The beers are OK for people who aren't into craft beer; however, for people who like to travel and sample the very finest in NJ, they will be less than happy here. I will change my review if I hear that the beers have improved. read more

Of particular note and something that is most impressive.......they look out for their patrons. If they feel you've had too much to drink, they will cut you off, no questions asked. My wife & I have enjoyed Somers Point Brewing Company since it opened. Since COVID we have done our best to support local businesses, including SPBC. We've sat outside and brought our dog in the past, no issues. No one said a word. Last night we drove all the way down from Galloway and now the bartender decides he want to arbitrarily enforce the dog ban. Meanwhile, mind you this woman has "Fluffy" the "service dog" right out front & that's ok. Anyway, to be fair, we like the beer & the atmosphere. Always have enjoyed ourselves there. That being said, they are not dog friendly. If you want to bring your dog head up the Parkway to Pinelands. read more

I definitely want to come back to try more beers! My husband and I grabbed takeout beers from here and it was a hard decision to make! I had samples of the mother pucker sour and the bay rat wit. A very friendly staff and owners, You get that home town feel soon as you walk through the door, Never been there when I couldn't walk in and start a conversation with a complete stranger. Then there's the beer. Very tasty. I'm not a big fan of IPA but they are diverse in the variety if beers. The stout and the big fish are my favorite. It's nice to have a brewery that has beer for many different beers for many different taste. It may not be a place for snobby reviewers but a great place to kick back and relax. read more
