why bother claiming to have package deals if it's comes out to the same price?
Joshua P.

I rated this a 2 star review because of confusing signage and the rate it costs to bowl here was too high for my reason to commit to a few games. It's been so long since I've been bowling. Coming into this place, I had expectations that bowling would not be as expensive. I was wrong. The typical costs to bowl here are $10 per game per person and $5 for show rental. They have a sign that reads package 1 ONE game + shoe rental = $15 Package 2 is TWO games + shoes = $25 Considering package one and package 2 is exactly what it would cost of this didn't say "package" on them doesn't make sense. A package usually benefits the consumer to some extent, not just point out the obvious. It can be deceiving to patrons who aren't quick to catch on making them think this is a great deal when in fact package 1 and 2 is the normal charge to play 1 or 2 games with a show rental. And then $10 a game afterwards for a pair would be quick to exhaust. we would probably hit 5 games within 30-40min. So really, $5 shoe rental plus 5 games per person at $10 each person...$110 in a matter of 30-40min. between just 2 players. NOPE! Won't comeback here for bowling. In the other hand, their restaurant inside was packed, so maybe I'll comeback just for breakfast or lunch.

It's been awhile since I've been here and my daughter and I were craving some oxtail soup .. the staff are always friendly. The vibe here is chill. Portions are huge and I always have food to take home!!!

I like it! It's a little hidden gem. Their diner has a robust Hawaiian menu. Unfortunately, I waited too long and was not able to try the food... Next time! It smelled amazing and looked amazing. They said the bacon fried rice with chicken is the most popular. Almost everyone walked away with a fried rice dish. They have popular items like moco Loco, spam musubi, short ribs... You get the idea. They have a cute little bar, simple clean and the staff is friendly no matter what section you were in. They have maybe 10 alley's for bowling, and about 10 pool tables with a small arcade. And a huge parking lot! I will definitely go back!

This was cool event from #gethank a website's for adults 55plus sponsored by #Humana. Belinda was very nice and helpful today, can't wait for the next event. It was a great, bowled 10 games today. Thanks Brian for creating a great app for over 55plus. The bowling alley has a cool decor, great color scheme. Will definitely return again.

Bowling Alley's are becoming extinct, and it's a shame. I liked Gardena Bowl for the location and logistics of getting to a bowling alley in the South Bay Beach Cities. It's rather small, I think it has 8 pairs, or 16 individual lanes, so there can be a wait. Although some have made comment that the customer demographics are inner city urban, but it's not 'hoody, and has a family friendly atmosphere, we went on a weekday daytime in the Summer. The staff was helpful and friendly. People who bowl here are experienced for the most part and practice the league etiquette when bowling and yielding for each other when there's a bowler to the left or the right and interchanging to assure respecting not being rude or distracting. I like that. The rates are okay, on par with today's FMV (fair market value) rates per line (game) and for shoe rentals. What impressed me a lot was the PRO SHOP. I brought my own bowling ball and the finger plug inserts came out during play. The PRO SHOP glued them back in FREE OF CHARGE graciously. That's impressive in my opinion in today's world !!!

We waited in the bar area, ordered many many many drinks and played songs on the jukebox then we got pool tables and started playing pool for some hours while talking then we bought 2 lanes of bowling and bowled like 3-4 games and it was fun! We had such a good time after going to top golf. Good times! The prices are decent here and we did order food as well. Chili cheese fries and hot wings which were really good.

Ask the Community - Gardena Bowl

What are the bowling prices? I've been trying to call for 2 days and no one answers.

I know they have an all you can bowl special Monday through Thursday from 9 PM to 11 PM for $20 including shoe rental. I agree they rarely answer the phone, sometimes you have to try your luck and just show up hoping there is a lane available. they…

Do they have any vegan options?

Do they have any senior leagues?

yes they do

I think the place has 20-30 lanes (forgot to count them), which is smaller than the other bowling alley that we used to go.

I've been trying out a few pool places recently as I get into it and I can say this is one i…read moredefinitely wouldn't come back to. We came late on a Monday night and were treated extremely rudely, and based on past reviews I definitely believe it has something to do with us being a group of women. We were the only ones in there and the owner and his friends stared us down every time we played. He also started the timer as soon as we walked in and said we wanted to play before we even got the table. He came over to ask us to turn down our music (which was so low he didn't notice for 30+ mins) despite us being the only people in there with radio station ads playing. The tables were $15 an hour and cash only which I personally hate considering it's 2026 and I believe it's outdated. $15 an hour felt especially steep when there is no real music, no drinks, no snacks and no nothing but rude service. I've played pool at dive bars in nicer parts of LA at billaird places for $2 an hour. The owner and his friend mocked us as we played in front of them so I would not say it's beginner friendly. Also I previously came here on a Saturday night when it was packed and because there is zero ventilation there is a certain smell that sticks... Overall I would not recommend this place especially if you are a woman unless you are okay with unwelcoming service

I stopped by this Lakewood location of Round1 on my incomplete tour of the Round1s in LA. I have to…read moresay, going shortly after they opened on a weekday was quite peaceful and lonely. However, most employees were cleaning in some way which was a good sign. It did feel a little more fresh and clean at this location than other ones. The entrance was interesting because I'm used to just entering the doors and immediately being inside the arcade, but you have to enter through the dilapidated Lakewood Center mall first, and then take escalators up to Round1. It's also a little hectic coming here, because it's right next to Costco. There were an adequate amount of machines, but it definitely seemed smaller than the other locations I visited in LA. However, the skill games and payout rates were very reasonable and fair, and I made out quite well! I won my first Getter Spin game here because the speed was pretty good. You do have to cherry pick a bit, as some of the popular or newer prizes were behind cheese wheels.

Located near the forever 21 (that's about to close), Ulta, and Costco side of the mall (in the old…read morelocation of the food court for those of you old enough to remember), Round 1 has always been a great late-night spot for all sorts of entertainment such as claw games, arcade games, billiards, bowling, karaoke, etc. I find myself going here fairly often because not many places are open this late, especially in Lakewood. Prices have definitely been going up and prizes are harder to get (recession indicator fr), so I admittedly have started playing less. I only come when I need to blow off some steam or there's a prize I really want. Round 1 has an AMAZING selection of plushies During my last visit, I had some great encounters with a couple of the workers! I had some issues regarding the app and connecting my card, and one of the managers stationed at the bowling area was super nice and walked me through connecting a new card and ensuring I got my points for it! Oddly enough, they felt very well-staffed for a Wednesday, and there was plenty of staff on the floor that day to help me reset a couple of times, whenever the token plush dropped out of claw's reach. There was one worker who came right when I needed him and helped reset the token back within claw's reach. I got my usahana that night!!! I wish I remembered their names so I could shout them out! They really made my night after a rough day.
