This market offered a lot more than I was expecting, considering this was such a small town market. They've got a lot of options available for purchase, even for those with dietary restrictions. They've also got a pretty nice collection of local brews to purchase if you're planning on drinking post hikes from YNPS. The market itself is clean and has ample supplies to help you find what you need. I was bummed that we couldn't find bison or elk meat here though. Gardiner doesn't have much market options, so if you plan on staying in the town and need a market, this will probably be your best bet.

This is a great market, fully stocked with a great variety. We found buying ready prepared foods great for breakfast and lunch. With limited services at Mammoth Springs Hotels, it's a quick trip to the market to get most items you need. Staff is very friendly and helpful in getting supplies for your trip. Worth the trip! Good pricing!

Nice place to shop and get the necessities. Cashier seemed like she was having a bad day.

Good market to get supplies before entering the park. They had everything we were looking for. Prices were a little high but not exorbitant.

Always has what you need and prices won't gouge you like some tourist town stores will.

After a long day at Yellowstone national park, we came here to stock up on lunch supplies and try their hot deli meals.

**November 2025: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more My mom and I were looking for some local Montana gifts and food and saw the huge Co-op building on a drive down Main Street. The parking lot is kind of small, but we were able to find a spot to squeeze into on our visit. When you enter the building you'll see an impressive self-serve section and I noticed quite a few people loading up their plates or to go boxes. There's an island of ingredients to make your own salad and a couple of home made soups, and another area for hot items. My mom and I decided to share a squash soup, a small salad, and an assortment of hot items including South Carolina pulled pork, mac n cheese, biscuits and gravy, and mashed potatoes. I also decided to try a local kombucha which was really refreshing. We grabbed our utensils close to the exit and headed upstairs to enjoy our food. After we devoured everything we perused the main floor and bought a lot of Montana based goodies including teas, Bequet caramels, soaps, and skincare products. Suffice to say I spent quite a bit of money here, but I'm happy to support local and be able to share the Montana spirit with my family and friends! I'd say Community Food Co-op is kind of like a cross between Trader Joes and Whole Foods, but with a great emphasis on sustainability and local goods. Price range is $$-$$$ range depending on the items.

For someone local, or on the way to Yellowstone Park for camping, who doesn't want to drive into Bozeman and searching for organic and fresh, seasonal, local produce, Food Works is the place to go. In addition to the usual grocery items and miscellany, Foodworks has bulk products, something that was particularly interesting to me, as I have been searching for some organic cornstarch. It's surprisingly harder to find than I expected. Here it was. The manager explained they sourced from Austria. I can't say I was expecting that -- but okay. Also available daily are ready made sandwiches and soups that don't appear to stay available long, so come early.

Raw organ meats, organic in-season produce, medicinal herbs, artisanal bread and chocolate are just a few treasures one can find here at Food Works. However ..my FAVORITE thing of all at this store is the selection of ready to eat meals. In particular the egg salad and curry chicken bowl. Truth is, since I moved here, I have been slacking on my usual meal prepping and healthy eating and thus have been craving something tasty and packed with nutrients. The chicken curry bowl was that perfect blend between absolutely delicious and knowing my body is going to love me for this. Ps. *Parking lot is TIGHT!! My truck felt the squeeze coming in the parking lot for sure *bring your reusable bag!
