We had the classic case of waking up to your water heater going out on you. I searched Yelp and found Kent Plumbing and because it was close I called in a frantic state because my drywall was getting wet and I can't deal with mold. They asked a couple of questions and called back about 45mins later to update me on the progress on their end. Remember, this is first thing in the morning and I am stressing about work and what I can tell them because we all have that boss who still wants us to come in after literally breaking a bone. They show up shortly after with everything they needed and in a good, calming demeanor which frantic me needed to be honest. They assure me the damage isn't life-threatening despite my worries from googling a certain internet MD site... you know the one. They clean up the mess, remove the old water heater, install the new one with this awesome tub kinda thing with a drainage pipe that would flow directly onto the garage concrete to alleviate any worries we had about a future leak way, way down the road. I'm sure if I would have asked or needed a hug I would have been given one no questions asked. Their customer service left me feeling like they still gave me one. Several years ago Jonathan did a great job of installing a new water heater in our home in Temecula. This October, he successfully repaired a leaking drain pipe under our front lawn. Jon carefully dug up a minimal portion of the lawn to detect a very tiny crack in the pipe. What could have been a huge job was masterfully and efficiently done at a very fair price. I was trying to do it myself by changing the valves under the sink. I missed and stripped a nut as I was trying to replace a valve and it wouldn't come off. My luck would have it that I knew how to cut off water to the house because water was leaking from the pipe, with the 2nd lucky thing was I found Kent's plumbing in the yellow pages. I called a few plumbers but either they couldn't come until the afternoon or not at all today. Kent asked what the problem was and I explained it to him. He said I will have someone out in the next hr or two. Jonathan arrived an hr and a half later. Jonathan was the ultimate professional from the time he walked into the door. Not only did he replace the valves but the lines and the bad piping another plumber had done as well. Jonathan stayed to make sure there was no leaking from pipes and that valves were working properly. I will be calling Kent for all my future plumbing needs as well as letting my friends know to call them as well. I called to get pricing for him to come out and do what I couldn't do. Instead, he informed me that I already had most the parts needed and coached me on what to do to fix it. I would give them 100 stars if I could! i had been calling around looking for someone to install a sink for me in the laundry room. A lot of people said they couldn't do it. My 75 gallon water heater started leaking just before I was going to go to bed. Next morning i checked with Home Depot whose same day install service sounded good but didn't work out as they use contractors. Contractor did not call me. So I inquired around and was told to give Kent a call. I did and within 30 minutes one of his guys showed up to look at the problem. Got a fair price and gave the approval. Gentleman went to get the replacement heater and returned about an hour later. Started work and finished up the replacement in about 3 hours. The workmanship is very good. This company is very dishonest. They need to be reported to the BBB. They took advantage of my being in a bad situation and charged me an astronomical amount of money for a service that was still covered under the warranty. They did this by recommending services that were not need or required and that didn't fix the problem. I had a problem that only Southern California Gas could fix. They quoted issues and problems that were NOT what was wrong with my water heater and replaced very expensive parts that did not need to be replaced. To make matters worse, they replaced parts that were covered under my warranty but charged me anyway because it was an emergency call. Again, there was nothing wrong with the parts they replaced. Therefore, the work they did, didn't fix the problem. So CA Gas fixed the problem. Do NOT trust this company!! read more

I highly recommend Kent Plumbing. I was given his name from a local realtor friend. I called him and he came over to go over what we needed. There was quite a bit of work to be done. We replaced 2 toilets, installed a whole has filtration system, replaced 5 bathroom faucets, replaced a kitchen faucet, installed an RO filtration system on the kitchen faucet, and installed a separate filtration system on the refrigerator/freezer. Kent's quote were very competitive and reasonable. The first day he arrived with his associate, Jonathan, who was going to be doing the work, to introduce him. Jonathan was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were having countertops replaced and Kent/Jonathan were super flexible and accomodating to changes in the schedule caused by the countertop contractor. Jonathan was super proactive and truly cares about his customer and work he is doing. He even cleaned up from the countertop contractors and said he would sleep better knowing it was done and clean. First of all let me say that Kent showed up on time and was a very nice guy. My bad I didn't get an estimate. This was a shock for me being on Social Security and disabled. We needed a faucet removed and re-installed outside for our fountain in the backyard. That's it! Well, it cost me $149.50. I understand it costs for travel but from Temecula it's only 18-miles so I think fair travel would be $50 to $65 and removing the old faucet labor to unscrew the old faucet and put on another $25 to $35 would be fair. These faucets only cost $5 to $10 max. I didn't have Kent finish the job because the fountain was disassembled. So, I put the fountain back together turned on the water and guess what, LEAKS. I was pissed about how I felt I had been taken advantage of and didn't call Kent back. I just Teflon taped all the threads to stop the leaks. The fountain is fixed partly due to Kent but mostly fixed by me. I've used anther plumber before Boyer's Plumbing but could not remember their name. I won't be using Kent plumbing again because after this experience I made sure to put Boyer's plumbing in my phone for the future. Just too rich for my blood and my limited income.
