For $50, I really wanted to love it more. I called ahead by 5 mins and they were able to take me which I really appreciated! They have private rooms that looked and felt pretty clean. Bed was comfy but mine had a squeaky noise that got a bit annoying. I appreciated that it came with free hot stones. I got the 1hr massage and although the lady didn't speak English, I was still able to communicate my needs and pressure of the massage. Throughout the hour, she hit the main body parts but kept opening the door to talk with her colleagues which was pretty distracting. I could tell she was also on her phone at times which took away from the experience. I came across this massage place on TikTok and decided to try it out. When I first walked in, there was nobody at the front desk, so I waited about 5-10 minutes before someone came out to greet me and ask what service I wanted. My boyfriend and I got the couples deep tissue full body massage for $50 each. The massage itself wasn't bad, and the place seemed clean and nice. Since this was my first massage, I liked that they had one big room for two people because it made me feel more comfortable. My favorite part was definitely the hot stones. The only thing I noticed is that the massage did not seem very consistent. I understand everyone massages differently, but there were parts of the service that I received that my boyfriend did not. For example, my massage included my legs and thighs, but his did not. Also, just so others know, the full body massage does include them massaging your butt area. The part that made me uncomfortable was at the end when we paid. My boyfriend only had the exact amount plus $10 cash for a tip, so we gave what we had. The lady then told us we needed to tip more. To me, that felt unprofessional because tips should be optional and based on what the customer chooses to give. There also wasn't any sign stating that a tip was required or that there was a specific tip amount. Came here after seeing a TikTok video recommending this place and booked a 60-minute deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from start to finish. They accidentally double booked my appointment, so I had to wait quite a while before being seen. The rooms looked really nice and I was impressed, but it wasn't very relaxing since I could hear toilets flushing and people talking outside throughout the session. My bed was also very squeaky. As for the massage, it was honestly one of the worst I've had. The masseuses relied heavily on using her elbows, and the pressure felt inconsistent - more like random elbowing than an actual deep tissue massage. She also used so much oil to the point where the hot stones and towels didn't remove it all. I had to shower immediately after getting home. The session also felt overly focused on my glutes rather than being a full-body massage (~80% glute 20% other parts of body). At one point, accidental contact was made which made me uncomfortable. I was honestly so surprised and tried to process everything but I wish I had stopped the massage. I then was asked to turn over for a brief face massage that lasted less than a minute, and oil was used there as well, which felt odd. I did also come with someone so we shared a room together. When I had asked if their masseuses did the same thing and if they had the same experience as me, they said yes. Amy did my massage. I got a 60 min combination reflexology deep tissue massage and it was the most amazing experience ever. She was very thorough, and constantly checked in to make sure I was ok. Made a last minute appointment since I was in the area and they were able to accommodate. The place was very clean and very new. The staff were friendly and spoke clear English so during my massage I was able to make my needs known for little or more pressure. Would definitely go again, but I would request to be on the side where the wall isn't shared with the coffee spot next door. The walls are very thin and even with music playing I could still hear everything going on at the coffee shop next-door. My recommendation would be maybe some earplugs for the customer. read more

My husband and I checked out Garfield Spa for the first time on Saturday, 9/13/2025 at 11:00 AM. We called in the morning and easily made a same-day appointment for 1-hour couples deep tissue massage ($60 for 60 minutes - price as of 9/2025) Appointment: It was a good deep tissue massage, but it had been a while since I'd had one that intense, and I found myself in pain during parts of it. I'll admit I was hesitant to speak up, so I just tried to push through the pressure...though looking back, I know I should have said something (I struggle with that!). The masseuse did check in with me at the start, and at that time I felt fine, but the pressure was a little too strong as the session went on. I even ended up with a bruise on my left shoulder afterward. That said, my husband was fine throughout his appointment, and we both agreed they were skilled at targeting specific trouble areas. For me, they focused on my shoulders, while for him, they worked more on his mid-back. They used a variety of techniques throughout the massage, but heavily used their forearm most of the time, which was a slight complaint from my husband. Just keep in mind--when they say deep tissue, they really mean it! Customer Service: Very good, they were quick to pick up the phone and quick to greet when we came in. They can speak both Chinese Mandarin and English, and were friendly. Payment: Credit card and cash are available. Just note that there is a 3% surcharge that's added on. We ended up paying in credit card and providing a 20% cash tip to each masseuse. Parking: Street parking and they also have a parking lot in the back. We had no issues! The spa was clean, calm, and quiet--exactly the kind of environment you want when you're trying to fully relax. My massage therapist was excellent. The pressure was strong and effective (maybe even a little intense in a few spots), but she was very responsive and adjusted immediately when I asked for slightly lighter pressure in certain areas. I really appreciated how attentive and skilled she was. Overall, it was a great experience and exactly what I needed. I'm already looking forward to my next visit soon. The atmosphere was far from peaceful -- there was loud hammering from construction next door throughout most of my session, which made it hard to unwind. Inside the massage room, it was surprisingly noisy. The staff were talking loudly, running in and out, and one woman, who seemed to be in charge, was giving orders to others as if she were a drill sergeant -- all while clients were trying to relax. My massage therapist had decent technique, and I did appreciate how she used her elbow effectively on my back. However, she was way too rough on my neck, arms, and fingers -- it was more painful than therapeutic. There's a big difference between using strength and just being rough. Also, her breath was noticeably unpleasant, which made it uncomfortable at times. Unfortunately, the combination of noise, discomfort, and lack of professionalism means I won't be returning. read more

I called to do a 90 minutes deep tissue. I asked for someone strong. The receptionist said no problem. The place is clean and it's recommended by a friend. But it turn out to be the worse massage ever! The masseuse doesn't know how to massage. I feel it's more rubbing. Don't talk about deep tissue which I pay more for it. But it's really just rubbing your back with only 1 way, using her forearm back and forward. It is so bad that I actually cut my massage shorter. And the amazing thing she only did my back and nothing else, I got it I cut the massage shorter but not even my hand? I really wonder if these people even has license. I just feel scammed, don't advertise as deep tissue if only rubbing. And owner can you train your people first before opening?
