This used to be one of the places to go. Lately this place has gone way downhill. Today is the second day they have forgotten our order and left a HUGE red truck sitting where they instructed us to sit. After letting us sitting there, about 20 minutes, and had to go remind them we were out there and waiting, they laughed and told us they gave our food away. To be clear the owner/manger laughed and let us know. Instead of apologizing and going to make the food, they pretty much were told to go remake it since it had already been paid for. Twice in a row, no thank you. There are way too many places who actually still care and the quality of their food is still good. I would rather spend my money somewhere else. read more

I didn't eat there so I can't speak on the food or taste. However I sat there for at least 15 mins patiently waiting for someone to wait on us. This is after I went up to the counter and asked if it's self serve sit and wait or order at the counter. She said you can have a seat and someone will get to you soon. Nobody came all though I did two girl's at two different times pass me by talk on there phones. I even waved at one and only got a look a simple we're really busy but we will get to you as soon as possible would have been nice. Even after calculating tax on the price they told me, I was still paying over 75¢ more per item. Today was the last day I'll be going back. As a kid in high school, I used to go to this place multiple times a week, yummy. The place is gross when you walk in, it's hot, lots of flies and it just seems dirty, but who cares. We had two menudos and a single beef enchilada. Overall the menudo was good. It wasn't greasy, the tripe was cut into small pieces and it was cooked well, the color was great but the seasoning killed it a little. WAY TOO MUCH cayenne. It was so spicy that you didn't need to add jalapeños. It was also a little weird that they served menudo with crackers instead of tortillas. The beef enchilada sauce was extremely red and had a bunch of cayenne. Couldn't finish a bite. I would've given another star bc the menudo was good but too spicy. The only thing was service was shotty. Young wait staff, which may be family owned and operated. But they need to have a little more structure. This is by far the best tacos in Odessa! My daughter and I found them closed on Sunday so we when on a hunt to find something comparable. Ha no such thing we stopped at 3 different place that night and sampling in search of something close. Nope just had to wait till Monday! This is not the first visit to this restaurant, IMHO It's just gone down hill in the past few years. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was that the front door needed a good scrubbing, inside AND out! When I sat down and looked around they seemed to have added MORE decor to the already over populated walls. The waitress was short and curt and seemed to be bothered to have to wait on me. I ordered beans, rice, chile relleno and a tamale. She delivered a basket of chips that were just the right amount of salty. Wonderful! The queso reminds me of the cheese at 7-11 for chips. When my plate was delivered my expectations went down the drain. The beans are freeze dried and reconstituted (not a whole bean to be found) and the rice was watery with oil floating in the water. The chile relleno was great until I ate almost half of it and it began to taste gritty. I pulled the cheese out with my fork and discovered a strip of dry flour. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, not any more. I'm done. read more
