We had breakfast this morning at Pollos one of our used to be fav restaurant. Very very disappointed. Their chorizo plate well overdone no flavor, flour tortillas not home made as before but those thin 6" dia from HEB, coffee used to great but very rank today. Wife had egg w/bacon toast, med egg hard, bacon burnt I would not serve that. Sad as at one time this was a good flavorful restaurant to go to. I guess standards must be low in Odessa for this place to have 4-stars. My experience: Charges $5.19 for the tiny(3-4 ounce) dish of queso. It's the same size dish the you normally get a "side" of sauce. Waitress doesn't come back for chip refills even though the restaurant is mostly empty at 2pm. We have to go ask for chips from someone else. My tacos rancheros were folded over in crappy store bought corn tortillas that they didn't even grill. They had a horrible "old fish" taste and smell to them. Food was marginal at best, service sucked & then when I called them out on overcharging me I got to deal with a rude manager. Watch your wallet here!! Went there today and ordered two margaritas off of the flyer on the table....$5.99 for a large margarita. Food is mediocre... had to ask for the guacamole and pico de gallo for my fajitas. When the bill came I was charged $6.50 apiece for my margaritas plus another $1.00 for a "double" charge ? This place is awesome! Polo's is a family owned restaurant with an authentic menu. The owners are very nice people. I used to work at the Andrews hwy location before I moved out of Odessa. Their enchiladas are delicious. Their homemade salsa is really good. This is on my list of places to visit next time I'm in town. read more

This place is the best of the best. The food is delicious & at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly & they help in anyway they can. OK, let me begin with my review of this place. I went last Saturday night looking for a different Mexican food place to go to in Odessa. When I drove in the parking lot the place was not packed. Since it was just me, I knew I wanted to sit at the bar to get a meal and something to drink...and to catch a game on the advertised seven tv's. When I walked in I waited for any hosst or hostess to come and ask me where I wanted to be seated. I waited a bit and finally someone came to the hostess spot and guided me to the back bar. Well, that was a minor wait compared to the wait I had at the bar. About 10 minutes passed by while about 3-4 waitress passed by; not asking if I'd been waited on. There was no bartender....Kinda important if you have a bar....It wasn't until 2 young oilfield guys came and sat at the bar did the waitresses arrive. Even then I waited another 10 minutes for somebody to help me. Since this place is on the edge of nowhere, I waited; 'cause you never know what's gonna be open on a Saturday night in this part of town.....When I finally ordered I got my beer and got an order in...probably another 5-10 wait to get the drink from a tap right in front me. I ordered some green enchiladas which were average at best, but they were at least piping hot. I honestly don't think I'm coming back. We took about 6 employees to lunch a week ago in Polo's....With in two hours all ^ were home sick with food poisoning They all missed work the next day..really something special to deal with when we are so busy!!!!! 4 people walk in the door at 8:30pm. The girl at the counter did not even acknowledge us. She left us standing there for 10 or 12 minutes and then decided to tell us that they were closed. I asked her what time they close and she told me they close at 9:00pm. Nice. read more
