Food was fair. Ordered a quesadilla and had fair amount of cheee on some parts of my tortilla. The person taking the order at the register however is very rude. She took my husbands order in spanish and when i asked her to add the brisket to the nachos on the side in spanish she said "what" I was so confused as she was taking my husbands order in spanish the entire time. And I said it again and she acted like she didnt know spanish and had to tell her in english. Food was delicious. Went with my family for breakfast and ordered the huevos rancheros, they were so good. Not spicy and very flavorful. My daughter had the quesadillas, tortillas looked homemade. We also got the chips and queso and an order of chicharrones (they were brought out nice and hot, made fresh) I would definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

Food is average, if you don't mind being overcharged. I ordered some chips and salsa to go, the menu shows $5.29 cash price, They charged me $6.49 and when I said I was paying cash, they discounted it .25 The manager didn't seem to care that I was overcharged... Fresh chips and salsa that appear to be home made. The spicy salsa actually has a great kick to it! I eat a lot of ghost pepper and habanero hot sauce . This doesn't come near that , but to the average person the hot salsa would probably be too much. The breakfast burritos are pretty big end made to order . The eggs are cooked perfectly. read more

I actualLy love the food here. It's pretty great. The service is miserably bad. Sat in the drive through for 15 minutes with no one else even in line. Assumed they must have been closed for some reason , so called and found they were open. Asked why they weren't taking orders at drive through and she said oh, we didn't know anyone was there. I just left. Several times we have ordered pickup and never have we gotten the food correctly as ordered. Inside is hit and miss on the service side as well. It's a shame, cause I actually like the food, but the service is keeping ilia away. read more

Veva's Cocina is amazing! I cannot decide what my favorite dish is at all. I tend to go between the asado burrito and brisket nachos. I've never had hot sauce quite like theirs. It's yummy and has a grilled flavor to it. Portions are BIG. I wish they stayed open for dinner. read more

Finally had an opportunity to try Veva's Cocina and LEMMME TELL YOU! EXTREMELY clean restaurant (including the restrooms) that serves delicious Authentic Mexican food! You order at the counter and they call your number. You sit freely to eat. The meat in chile verde and asado was tender and VERY flavorful the homemade flour tortilla complements any meal so well. We also really enjoyed the chips/salsa and asadero con chile which had the right amount of kick. My daughter ordered the menudo (only served on Saturday's) and wow hands down the most flavorful, spiciest menudo we've ever tasted. MEXICAN FOOD DONE RIGHT! *TIP of the day if you don't like spicy i'd recommend to get brisket, nachos etc which is also amazing. read more

This place is absolutely delicious! It's kind of hidden in a corner next to Osaka's ! I was originally planning on going to Osaka's but the amazing smell from this place drew me in! And I was not disappointed. I had the spicy cheese enchilada plate and everything was great right down to the rice and beans. My husband had the taco plate and really liked that as well. This is like Rosa's in that you order at the counter. They give you a number to put on your table but then they call out your number to go pick it up ??? Although I did see them deliver to some tables later. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and was told their green sauce was the mildest. I couldn't eat it as it was too spicy (for me). Rice had a kick. Beans we're ok. You had to pay $6 for chips so we passed. Overall way too expensive for what you can get compared to other places that give you complimentary chips and comparable food. read more

Do yourself a favor and visit the Authentic mexican restaurant Vevas Cocina. It's quite lovely and so welcoming. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing. Food is good but it's expensive. Considering it's not food that's hard to make yourself it shouldn't cost that much. It's basically a Mexican breakfast place and any Hispanic knows you can eat this food at your moms any day. So unless you weren't raised on Mexican food it's really not worth it. I say this considering this is west Texas and most people out here are Hispanic. read more

Ehhh, pictures look REALLY good, but just average. Beans are good. I'll probably be back to try the breakfast, but we got the nachos, chips and queso, salsa, abado and taco salad. Taco salad bowl tasted really gross. Not sure what was up with it, didn't taste old, but maybe the oil... their menu is limited so not sure what else they would be frying in it, just a really weird gross flavor. Abado had good flavor but too mild, no heat or kick at all. Rice was overly wet and flavorless. Place isn't horrible, but some of the items are and the rest just average. Didn't want to give 2 stars because the service is really friendly and thorough. They accidentally put sour cream on the nachos which we specified on the side, but gave us the right one and let us keep that one. We didn't eat it, but it's the point. I'll be back to try breakfast because I could see the egg cheese potato sausage burritos being good. We'll see. Really not the Mexican cafe we were expecting, that's for sure. read more
