Stopped here on the way through town on a road trip. I'd say this is one of the better spots in town. The ambience is welcoming and it was still lively at 9:30 when we stopped in. I came in with a simple "special request" (according to the staff) at 8:30 pm and they were not accepting them, so I'm assuming the food is pre-made? Food needed a little extra salt and this is the second time dining. The service was mild, and ambiance was decent. If you crave sushi, I would not recommend this place. Authentic Mexican atmosphere. My server spoke little English but we were able to communicate. Ordered the whole baked fish. It came, bones and all in a foil wrap topped with a full load of grilled onions and peppers. Also some kind of sauce. It was tasty, although Tilapia is not my favorite. The salsa was delicious. So if you like seafood,this is a good place, food is fresh and menu is varied. I ordered whole fish, 'a la Parrilla ' whole, it was served in foil, I wish I had asked what kind of fish, it was a bit more spiney and I didn't particularly like the foil, I could have removed it but it would have been too messy with the juices from the onions and tomatoes. Well this review won't mean much. Some might call me a Karen but if you can't speak Spanish you May as well keep driving. After the bs trying for a table for 2. Getting sat... drink orders are whatever they bring. "Water" is too hard for their vocabulary but they recognized miller light.... It's pretty ridiculous. Food was ok It's obvious they have a certain base of customers and a pretty sad deal for down town Odessa. The environment is really good. Live music and the service are good (we came on a Sunday). However think real good about what you order because if you don't like something they will still charge you for it. I got the cielo mar y Tierra sushi roll. It was okay at best I don't recommend getting it. My wife for the shrimp ceviche and that is the worse ceviche I have ever had so don't get that either. $20 down the drain there because they did not want to replace it for another plate. Just think about what you're getting before you actually do. I recommend salchipapas and the quesataco. They're both appetizers but tasted really good. read more

The service was good but seafood was horrible and overpriced. I order the torre de mariscos and couldn't eat much of it. The fish and shrimp was not cooked at all and I feel like I'm getting sick. I had to spit out the fish from the taste and rawness. The tuna was okay bit overall disappointed on how much I paid and left behind. I also ordered a Paloma and was not made right. Who knows what was in it. A real Paloma is squirt lime and tequila. Not sure how they made theirs. I did order a half dozen of oyster that were good. The starting salsa with chips was also lame just seems like nothing was done right. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Trying this restaurant for the first time and it is wonderful! I ordered the Tacos Gobernados which are shrimp tacos, and they are wonderful. If you haven't tried this place you should! Music is a little loud, but service is the best. read more

Finally got to try out el sinaloense in down town Odessa yesterday and was very disappointed, was very excited about eating here and waited through the shelter in place and finally got a chance to go and what a disappointment. The waitstaff was nothing but exceptional no complaints. The sushi, well hot cream cheese wrapped in rice nothing else, my sone ordered the red snapper sarandiado, well it was talapia wrapped in foil paper, the chicharrón de pescado, nothing but fish sticks, well that's if you can find the fish in all the batter, the waitress recommended the camarón ranchero, more like shrimp I'm tomato sauce, and I think they took the shrimp from the maruchan soups, the mariscos from the cold menú where good, no complaints. This place is more of a place to drink and snack than a place for families to eat out. I was really disappointed, I was really looking forward to eating at this place. If this is what Sinaloa food has to offer we are not missing anything. read more
