Roadtrip from Yellowstone to Glacier brought us through Butte. Had to find lodging for the night and found this place right off the highway. Pulled in to see if they had vacancy and got amazing customer service from the desk clerk. She gave us 2 adjoining double queen rooms for under $100/ each. *The only "negative" of this room is that all adjoining rooms are on the first floor (love the 1st floor), BUT all 1st floor rooms can have pets. Good thing we didn't have any issues with finding pet hair or dander allergies. Speaks about their cleanliness!** Loved the price, loved the rooms. I want this kind of room every time. No carpet, luxury vinyl. Loved the modern upgraded fixtures in the room. USB charging station on the nightstand. Loved the sink outside the bathroom. The shower had hot water and good pressure. The bed was comfortable. And finally, after 4 nights in hotels, FULL (and firm!) SIZED PILLOWS. And there were 3 of them all for me! I was over the half sized feather/ fluffy pillows so far. We checked in early enough in the evening that I took advantage of their laundry services. I inquired at the front desk about this service and was gifted 2 Tide pods. They were left behind from a previous guest for others to use. Thank you to whoever you are! I found my way to the 2nd floor with $3 in quarters ($1 wash, $2 dryer). I spend approximately 1 hour sitting in the hallway with a puzzle book, trying to stay out of the way of a fellow hotelmates. So happy to get clean clothes at the halfway mark of our roadtrip. They also offer a HOT breakfast in the morning. It was also the ONLY place we got a hot breakfast included in our stay. Thank you very much. I witnessed a front desk staffer (manager?) make scrambled eggs on an electric skillet in their admin office, just steps away from the breakfast room. There was also hot sausage links, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, milk, coffee, juice. All yummy. By the time we were done eating at 8:30, all the tables were full of people. "DUMP" is the only word that describes this property. There are homeless drug addicts hanging around ON the property. When we arrived, there was construction equipment blocking the entrance. This hotel is under the I15 overpass which is very noisy. It is an old and tired building that is dirty from the lobby to the rooms. The bathroom is part of the actual room. The furnishings are crap. There were remnants of dead bedbugs everywhere. We prepaid for a week but left after the first night even though we would not receive ANY refund. Booked another great hotel in Butte and put this NIGHTMARE behind us. We will NEVER stay at a Wyndham property again! STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE and NEVER book through a third party. My wife and two children stayed here as the LaQuinta property was unable to accommodate us for the night during an unexpected stop in Butte, MT. This property is now branded as WINGATE by WYNDHAM; not Days Inn. The lobby was inviting and apparently newly renovated with friendly/ helpful staff. The breakfast was average hotel breakfast. Although the beds were clean and there was new furniture in the rooms, the room, on the other hand, was not what I would expect to pay a listed $149 / night (before military discount) for. It felt as if we were staying in a sleazy, one-off, rural hotel. The toilet did not flush unless you held down the handle, there was wadded up toilet paper stuffed into the wall protecting door stop, The mop board at the bottom of the floor was peeling off of the wall, There was a tile missing at the base of the shower, there was no cover on the exhaust fan/ light in the shower; leaving the bulb and socket exposed. There was hair stuck to the tile of the shower, and the grout where the tiled wall meets the floor in the shower appeared grimy/ discolored. The window rattled back and forth all night in the wind as it appeared to be off the track and was only silenced by using the locking mechanism. The window sill had a pile up of what appeared to be paint flakes and sheetrock dust. The A/C unit had filthy controls and louvers. The fire alarm and sprinkler heads had painters tape around their edges. The two other Wyndham properties, and two non-Wyndham properties we stayed in during this trip had none of these issues and it is certainly not what we have come to expect at their properties. We had just traveled from Grande Prairie, Alberta and were on the road for 900 miles/ 13 hours. I went to speak to the front desk staff but there were other patrons checking in and we just wanted to find dinner, let the kids catch up on school work, and get some sleep. Upon check out, there was a line and we were on a tight schedule to travel. I did not get a chance to discuss this with the local staff. While on the road, I attempted to call Customer service 4 times but no-one ever answered and the call disconnected each time. Finally, Michael, a manager from Cyrus Hotels (whoever they are) responded to the email complaint that we had submitted on the Wyndham website and gave us $25.00 off the room rate. Although we appreciate the gesture, I have reached out to Michael and Wyndham indicating that $25.00 off was unacceptable for the condition of the room. I have had no response from Michael and Wyndham corporate is telling me to "keep emailing him" as they can not provide any further assistance. The price is right the beds appear to be well maintained and comfortable. Staff is friendly,The breakfast is average., noticed that since my last visit they removed the hot tub entirely instead of maybe just updating it. The pool is still there and reasonably warm, but there is something about a hot tub and I believe management should go ahead and replace it definitely would have an impact on whether we would book this hotel in Butte next time. read more

This is now the Wingate by Wyndham... they must have changed their name. It is definitely NOT a 3 Star hotel as every travel site suggests. It is a solid 2. Lobby is nice. Rooms - not as nice. The rooms have been kinda updated, new beds, new decor... but same old tub etc. Fun fact: they need to return the bedspreads they bought because these are a joke. A funny, paper-thin, optical illusion type of joke. You see, at first glance, (and in hotel photographs) there appears to be a fluffy white comforter and an extra blue blanket draped luxuriously at the foot of the bed. Here's the funny part, it's not an extra blanket. It's literally just for pretends! There is only a thin white top blanket with blue print at the bottom to make it look like you have an extra blanket.In fact, I'm thinking of adding the bathroom towels on top to provide some extra warmth tonite. Yikes, they're fairly thin as well. The air conditioner blows freezing cold but it is LOUD AS HELL when it is running and sounds like a jet taking off when it starts. Oh and the platform that the bed sits on is metal and when you accidently kick it the first time, which you 200% will, you will wet your pants because it scares the s*** out of you. Room is clean, bed is very comfy and lots of pillow firmness choices. price was right for a Sunday night. I wouldn't pay more than $120 for this room. read more

This motel is in need is a serious cleaning and updating. Hallway rugs are stained and dirty looking. Several area of ceiling repair in our room and the duvets looked dirty. Bedsheet had a stain on it. Room was shabby. Only one towel set in room and no way to call front desk for more. No directions on phone. I called the front desk from their website line and got a message the voicemail was full. I felt bad for the young man on the front desk. Pool was closed for Covid I give them that one, but I had to ask for an ice bucket which is shared with the other rooms, had to ask for a do not disturb sign, and the filth by and under the bed was disgusting! I feel they should give us their money back I couldn't sleep in the filth, the carpets were nasty and the vending machine ripped me off twice $.75 bother times if that happens every time I they are making a killing! Aug 12,2022. Booked over a week in advance and Paid for a one stay just to get rest from a long road trip. Traveling with pet, don't mind paying the pet fee. Here is what I do mind walking into a bathroom and floor not cleaned. Toilet had crap all over underside of seat. Tile like floor not cleaned. Called to get toilet cleaned. But that is not the main problem: room 126, last room to a main entrance as well as smoker door. All night so far, slam slam slam. And the dog barks from such a loud noise. Every time, and I even gave her a rx sedative. Even if the dog did not bark I would wake from such a slam. So here I am in Butte MT sitting in my car with my own blanket and my own pillow . Dog is finally asleep thanks to the rain drops falling on the car. And do not have to listen to constant slamming of a heavy metal mechanism on the entrance door. Me, well I'm so freaking livid I can't sleep now and honestly feel like calling the cops and issuing a noise complaint on Days Inn!!!!! It is beyond bs that they think they should even sell that room!!!! I wish I would have read reviews prior to booking, I agree with all the posts about old hotel, construction, dank rooms, no pool. I really just wanted a place to sleep and they could not even provide that! Had a reservation and didn't know the hotel was under construction. The front desk asked to make copies of our ID'S. When my wife asked why, the receptionist started dropping the f****** bomb and telling us how f***** rediculouse we were fir questioning his job. Second the entire hotel was either torn apart for construction or filthy dirty. Our room had light bulbs missing, stuff on the wall, light switches that didn't work. Less than 5 minutes from checking in, we asked to cancel our reservation, the front desk refused. Sleep on the street or car before you stay here. Dirty and no service. Shady, unprofessional front desk guy (more below). Filthy carpeting. Outdated interiors, room not properly cleaned. And, all for tonight's special... $130+tax! Pros: * Safeway Market is around the corner (see my review). You can walk. * Room fridge, coffee pot, hairdryer & lots of bright lighting. A couple of outlets you have to crawl under or behind tables to find is a minus, but at least they're there. * 24/7 coffee in the lobby. * Some toiletry samples. That's it. What to know: * Lots of small places to eat (& gas stations) around the hotel. Many walkable. * Community microwave, there isn't 1 in each room. It's in the b'kfast room, which has b'kfast from 5-10am. I didn't indulge, so don't know if b'kfast inc any hot food or was all cold carbs. * Heated pool, but I never travel with a swim suit, so I never check them out. * Plenty of parking, but the spaces are a bit tight. My story: After 9-1/2 hrs in the car & my 35-min Motel 6 Butte fiasco (see my review), I wanted to get off the road to sleep, shower & skip town asap (I'm completely unimpressed w/Montana), so I wasn't worried about luxury. Found Day's Inn for $80 online at Trivago AND the Day's Inn site. Front desk goofball said rooms are $130. I said I'd found it for $80 & he said they always list that price but if you try to rent it, it will say unavailable. Normally, I'd say I could sit in the lobby to make a reservation, but I just couldn't haggle this evening after a long, awful day. I know he's not truthful, but couldn't take 1 more second without a room. The front desk area is okay, so I thought I'd have at least a 3* room. Nope... Motel 6 is better. Super 8 is better. Econolodge is better. And, the latter 3 are my "only if there's absolutely nothing else within 1-hr" choices. I asked if they gave a AAA discount & he said, "3 rooms only, $130 only, I don't want to work." Yep, no kidding & he wasn't kidding, cuz the 3 times I left the room... to bring in belongings, returning from the market & to retrieve my glasses, he was outside on the phone. He's sarcastic & rude, in addition to being unprofessional, making comments with raised eyebrows that, "You're traveling solo?!" Yes, sir... let me pack up my hoop skirt & bonnet to take the next wagon train out of town back to the kin's homestead. Cons: * Filthy, deeply stained carpeting throughout the entire hotel (it looks like a CSI team should be performing tests), hallways wreak of various foods from people walking from the lobby microwave & hallways are dark & creepy. I could barely see when checking in... in daylight. * I travel extensively & I've seen one of everything... twice. But, every room seemed to be occupied by cast offs from a Felinni film... oddballs & the strange, the teeth-optional sect, addicts & most rooms were occupied by more than 2 people. The 2 drunken mountain men, woman & child next door checked in with their 3 Rottweilers on ropes. I had to wait 3-min to get passed them cuz they were having a party in the hallway & were trying to wrangle the beasts indoors. I'll say it again... 3 adults, 1 child & 3 giant animals in 1 room... nice. No, the barking at 10:30pm didn't bother me one bit... insert huge eye roll. I can't wait 'til morning & a quick exit, stage left. * Room had sticky stains all over every surface. Who cleans these rooms... someone else who "doesn't want to work"? The towel bar ripped off the wall when I took off the hand towel & scared the bloody life out of me. In anger, I tossed it on the floor. There's more, but mainly I will be contacting corporate to have them reimburse me for the difference of $130 & the $80 they should have charged me for the room. They don't have to & I did agree, but their front desk agent definitely needs a good dose of customer service training & professionalism courses. I wouldn't stay again. 0* out of 5. Booked online through another company and paid more than if we had called the hotel directly, our room was given to another therefore our room was downgraded from the king suite to a small double bed room for my husband and I to share. Embarrassing and expensive. Hotel pool was chipped and smelled bad. Hot tub was cool except there was no door from the spa room to the hallway which was... weird? I parked and as I got out of my car, there was a man screaming profanities from the 2nd-floor window at some kids in the parking lot. As I was waiting in line outside the facility, some drunk woman stumbled into me. I didn't feel safe at all. Also, no one had a mask on or had any type of protective barrier put up. I drove across the street and tried to call to cancel my reservation. No answer. I tried the original number I called to reserve the room. They couldn't help me. When you walk in to the hotel hallway they have stains garbage and no trim leaving the bottom of the wall open. Hello, This is by far the worst "DUMP" on this trip as this was an overpriced dump for a piece of toast breakfast, a room where the air conditioner did NOT work in JULY in Montana. The bed had Butt size dent in it as you could not sleep on it. A room priced at 200 with a discount to 80 is NOT a bargain as I would rather have slept in my truck. Avoid this "DUMP". The picture, mirror and window all had finger prints on them. There was a hair in the sink. I wasn't offered a partial refund when I complained. Filthy & falling apart! Carpet was not vacuumed in our room and had dog hair! Toilet was dirty! Shower curtain had mold spots! Coffee pot had coffee from the last room guest!!! Breakfast was meh and had no attendant running or checking on it to restock many items that ran out! Second story rooms missing screen posing and extreme danger to young kids. Pool had hair floating in it and towels were ratty and falling apart. There was a blood looking substance on our wall. Graffiti in the mirror! Air conditioning was almost non existent and we slept horrible. One bed didn't have a proper hotel cover on top and was just another sheet?! No microwave in the rooms. They don't bother to plug in the clock?! When checking out were told yeah I pretty much sit here and take complaints all day since the owner doesn't want to fix up or make any repairs. Was told he shows up @ 4pm. We talked to other guests and they also said it was the nastiest and worst hotel they had ever stayed in! Definitely want my money back. Like noise? If you do, this hotel has plenty of it to share with you. From dodging the motorcyclists in the parking lot with their lack of mufflers to the whole clan going down the hall talking and banging doors as they walk by your room that is not on the main hallway you will be treated to lots of noise. The motorcycles sputter through the parking lot at all hours of the night. This property is close to I90 and figures they can charge for the convenience but please be informed that you will have multiple helpings of noise both through your room door and your window if you are on the parking lot side that they won't charge you for. If you think that because they charge over $100 for the room you might get a good night's sleep, but you would be wrong on that count. I would never book a night in this hotel again, knowing what I know now. read more

The only reason this hotel is getting a one star rating from me is because a lower rating is not possible. We reserved a room for 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) at this hotel online and the ratings were so-so and thought they were exaggerated. Not at all. This place looked sketchy from the outside, but we gave them a chance and got our room. The door was open before we even got to our room, as were all the other unoccupied rooms in the hallway. The room was filthy and there was only room for 4. I went back to the front desk to state the issues and ask for a refund. They said it was normal procedure for the maids to leave the rooms open after cleaning them and refused to refund my money. They also said that was the biggest room they have. Why advertise the room can fit 5 if there's only room for 4 in the biggest rooms? They moved us to another room. The room was slightly cleaner but still a dump, and I am generally not picky about hotel rooms. I refuse to put my wife and children in such an unsanitary and unsafe-looking place. We ended up letting this hotel keep their money and found a room at La Quinta down the road which was far better quality for a similar price. If you're ever in Butte, Montana and you see Days Inn, run away and don't look back. You'll be able to find better sleeping accommodations under a bridge anywhere. read more

the hotel indicated a 40" t.v. there are no cups in the room for water, no way to make a hot beverage anywhere in the hotel after 900 am. i asked to front desk for a tea bag and where to get hot water, i was told the was no hot water and if i needed tea bag i could go to the safeway store down the street. the vending machine took money for item and did not return change. the staff seems to be a bit indifferent when it comes to assisting patrons. read more

Really should be inspected by the Health Dept, and definitely be removed from Days Inn roster. Horrendous room, lights only worked in bathroom. To my dismay, even during Covid, it appeared the bathrm had not been cleaned for days. There was black mold behind toilet. Water marks on countertop,hair in sink and tub, and toothpaste sprayed on mirror. What I could see of the bedding looked very shabby. Towels were threadbare and appeared used. Room smelled like a locker room. I did not touch anything, and backed out of room to request refund. Desk clerk wore mask beneath her chin, and was utterly nonchalant. This hotel by Wyndham is disappointing cause I've been in multiple days inn that were fantastic but this one not so much I can tell maintenance is on the back burner and renovations also here's some things I noticed right off the bat A/C doesn't work at all it blows slight cool air that does nothing for the room, the paint job was half assed done an it's obvious , the clock is from the early 2000s , there's water damage in the bathroom , paint spatter on the walls from the crappy maintenance worker , random towel in the freezer which I believe was used by another guest to cool themselves due the non working a/c unit , the bed is alright but does have a dent in it on the right side from over use which means the bed is super old , the coffee maker has mold or some kind of stain in the part where the water goes , the land line is super old too with dust, vending machine all the items are warm an melting if it's a candy item. I can't believe I'm writing this cause I always enjoyed days inn and other Wyndham establishments but this is the first one I've been disappointed in . Wyndham and or days inn please invest in this hotel cause your in the age of internet reviews which can destroy the brand image and the hotels you own . Pros- very nice desk employee, pool , parking , room available . To any future guests this place is only good if you need place to sleep in a pinch don't expect it to be well maintained or up to date. If management reads this please pick up your game an improve on making sure your rooms are fixed properly, clean, up to date. We actually did not stay. The room(s) we were assigned were too disgusting. The first room had not been cleaned between guests. The towels and sheets had been not been changed. There was popcorn between the sheets. There was no toilet paper and the toilet did not flush. I complained. We were shown a second room. This one had poop stains in the toilet. Why would anyone have confidence in seeing a 3rd room. We left. There were obvious staffing shortages and many other issues, buckets catching water from roof leaks, stained carpets. All of those circumstances are outside of the control of the customer. We were not expecting luxury at a Days Inn. Cleanliness should be a reasonable expectation. I believe any hotel that advertises clean rooms is signing a contract with their customers. The published cancellation policy should be nul when the business breaks that contract. We should have been offered a full refund we were not. read more

Worst customer service EVER!!!! ESPECIALLY the young manager Ashley....I spent almost 4 weeks here, spent lots of money and because she didn't do a payment correctly over the phone, she screwed up and was completely RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL to me threatening me because a payment that SHE didn't process correctly it screwed up everything and she blamed me!!!
