I personally think either they need to renovate some areas or do some deep cleaning. the lobby looks ok, but (at least) our room is dark and the bathroom needs some cleaning. i'll post some area in the bathroom that need more attentions from the housekeepers. read more

I made reservations two weeks ahead so check in was ready. However, I realize things happen but when I checked in I was told that the elevator was not working so the 4th floor room, a King Deluxe View, that I had requested would have been a bit off a climb with our luggage. It was clearly getting busy so she suggested that we take a 1st floor room, which is above the "ground" floor rooms. I asked if there was anyone above us & she said yes but that it was an elderly couple that she didn't feel would be too heavy footed. She was very nice & because we couldn't get the room that we had requested, she deducted $25 off of our bill. It was a corner room with a living room area, it was clean & ok but it was dark...dark carpet, dark curtains, dark bedding. I probably wouldn't stay here again, mainly because it was just a bit dreary for my liking, it was clean but just not for me. Also, not really within walking distance of restaurants. read more

Front desk said it's not safe here and my car was probably going to get broken into. So we left after getting yelled at in a back in forth of how the world is going to hell. Guess they don't want business by putting a crazy guy like that in charge of the front desk. Good thing there's so many other options in the area. read more

You can sleep while your vehicle is robbed right outside the doors. Cops said it's the 4th time this week. so nice of the hotel to leave that out. if you can avoid this place i would pay extra or take extra time to dro as far as possible read more

This was a really pleasant stay. Front desk was helpful and well informed. Breakfast had a good selection. And their warm food really was warm. Hotel seems to be a little older, but you barely notice. It's so well done. The linens are all cotton. (Yay!) Comforters on the bed. Everything worked and worked well. Shower had good water pressure (for rinsing long hair.) Rooms do have a microwave and dorm refrigerator. Hotel was quiet. If you need to rest, you can do it here. There is one issue at the room desk. Both of the outlet sockets had something plugged in -- the dorm refrigerator and the desk lamp. There was no place to plug in a computer. Room was already a little dark. This could be improved. On the other hand, front desk went above and beyond by combining two different reservations (for two days). Saved me from having to change rooms. Very helpful. All things considered, can recommend. Really awesome staff during check in. Checked in late after driving in from Washington And it was late could not get and food delivery so we went down stairs and bought some Hot pockets and frozen burrito and lasagna to slap in the microwave. The young man Working got us some plates, hot sauce and salt and pepper. Really nice guy. He is EXACTLY what you should expect from someone in his field. Also the parking, the rear lot was huge and accommodated our truck and trailer With easy access in and out. read more

For a hotel in its price range, La Quinta does okay. The rooms are clean (how sad is it that a traveler needs to point out something that should be a given), staff is friendly, the wi-fi works fine and there's even a decent selection of tv stations. But holy hell -- this is one of the noisiest hotels ever. The showers in the adjoining rooms sound like freight trains in the hallway. Forget a white noise machine, the volume would be so loud as to make using it pointless. Come here when you're tired. Really, really tired and maybe you can sleep through all the noise. Or, just watch tv all night. Or stare out the window at the nearby mountains. Sleep? It's overrated. read more

I stayed at the LaQuinta Inn for many months recently. The whole staff made me feel comfortable and at home. They helped me in the cold and beginning of the snow & always greeted me with smiles and kindness. The managers Kevin and Steph are amazing and Alyssa at the front desk made my day every single day. Even when I was down and blue she was there to talk to and be a friend. My room was perfect because I had a suite. The cleaning staff very trustworthy and great. Kyle always cleaned my room to perfection. I will always remember my time in Butte and alot of it is because the wonderful staff. read more

Not much negative to say about the hotel or our stay. Check-in was smooth and easy, staff was pleasant and welcoming. A/C in the room was more than adequate for my needs. Showerhead was raised enough that it was comfortable for me to use. Room was clean and well appointed, bed was comfortable, pillows were a good mix of soft and firm depending on your preference. Seating area was very comfortable, and room felt welcoming and enjoyable. We did end up with a clogged toilet, unclear whether it happened before we checked in or if we "caused" it, since the first time I used it it overflowed on my feet. I called down for help and/or a plunger. An hour or so later I went down in person to see what was taking so long. The front desk was empty with a sign saying they were working in the office - no one was in the office that I could find and I was eventually startled by the employee saying hello from behind me back by the front desk area while I was searching the office. It appeared that we had been forgotten, but he got keys and came up immediately to find me a plunger. He offered to take care of it for me (bonus points) but I declined saying I would handle it (want something right, do it yourself). As a side note the housekeeping room on my floor (where the plunger was stored) was unlocked, and I was told to just replace it in the room when I was done and it was left unlocked. So ... security? Oh well. Also - I understand it is a pet friendly hotel, but there was a dog barking somewhere on our floor (all evening) until quite late, like 9 or 10ish. I know this isn't the hotel's overall issue, so I haven't "docked" them anything for it. But something to be aware of, since this seems like a very pet friendly hotel. read more

A really lovely stay for the price point. This hotel has a nicely decorated and very clean lobby as well as very well maintained public spaces throughout the hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is very nice, a bit more than the standard continental breakfast and waffle maker, with a wide selection of fruits and pastries, as well as scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy and more. read more

I was very pleased with the beds and pillows. The room was very clean and quiet. We had a great night sleep. Customer service was good. I I do miss the breakfasts in the morning but do to Covid they did not have it. They did have bags with oatmeal, muffin, orange juice, granola bars, fruit cup, water and fresh coffee to go. After a long drive from Oregon, we couldn't wait to get into a hotel and relax. I would give 5 stars to the kind lady working at the front desk but zero stars to housekeeping.We got 2 rooms and my parents' room was completely filthy. You didn't even want to touch anything. We had to call to get a new room. Second room was satisfactory but looked as if someone pried the bathroom door open and the wood was exposed. Splinter city. It would also be nice if someone would change lightbulbs. It's not difficult to notice when one is out. Also, if the second floor ice machine is broken, put a sign in the elevator!! The gentleman working during checkout was quite gracious and discounted the room, thankfully. All in all, we would not stay here again. read more

Stopped here on a long cross-country road trip with our pup. Room was very clean and comfortable. Slept wonderfully after a dip in the hot tub! Breakfast was hot, included eggs and biscuits & gravy. Lots of other choices. Most importantly, the coffee was great! It's a little off the highway, but pretty close. DO NOT stay at this hotel! My Sister and d her friend checked into a room last night. They were assaulted by a putrid smell upon entering it was suffocating in the heat level. My Sister and her friend both had severe asthma attacks and had to leave the room. No one was at the front desk, they could not find any representative from the hotel to help them. When they did reach a front desk representative when they moved to another property she was extremely rude and said they had other duties and didn't always have someone available at the front desk. ANYONE could have come into that hotel and wreaked havoc. The SAFETY of their guest is at constant risks! My Sister and her friend had to seek medical attention because of their severe reactions to the horrible onslaught of severe reactions to whatever cause the putrid smell. DO NOT stay at this hotel!!! Kevin their manager was only interested in saying you can't prove it was my hotel! You literally are putting your life at risk staying at the La Quinta in Butte, Mt.!!! I spoke with the Wyndham corporate office, who sponsors La Quinta and they were equally challenging in addressing this concern. Best Western is an excellent hotel in Butte, as is The Finlan Hotel as is the Marriott property there!! My family is from Butte and to see this La Quinta property attached to the fine people of Butte is apalling!! Please avoid the La Quinta inn in Butte, Montana at all costs or you run the risk of your lungs being infected or being assaulted by any random person as there is no one at the front desk to see who is coming in or leaving the property. I called Wyndham corporate office and spoke to Maria who was a customer service representative supervisor who said this complaint could not be further escalated- here it is being escalated in the only source available to me,Yelp! Kevin their manager was horrible and only worried about there being no proof of them being at fault. You are putting your safety at risk if you stay there!!! read more

You won't be disappointed if you stay here when you're visiting or passing through Butte. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful. When I arrived the check in process was very smooth. On top of that they provided me a four page print out of top restaurants in Butte that included a brief description and hours of service. This was particularly helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again. read more

I was in the midst of a vehicle crisis while traveling near Butte. I ended up having to stay the night unexpectedly. I searched for a hotel through Hotwire and ended up at La Quinta. I arrived at La Quinta, and went to check-in. I was told they did not receive my reservation from Hotwire. I contacted Hotwire, received a refund, and booked at the front desk of the hotel for cheaper than the Hotwire rate! Shout out to Ashley at the front desk - she was my savior! Room had a great view from the 4th floor. Breakfast was above my expectations: hot biscuits and gravy, omelets, and country potatoes, along with a waffle maker, yogurt, etc. Overall, it was a great stay! read more

Unfortunately, this La Quinta was the worst one out of 4 that we stayed in. Right when you walk in it was apparent that the room smelled of pet urine and they had blasted the ac to keep that air circulating. This is probably the worst la quinta inn i have ever stayed. 1. Our pillow covers smelled like someone smoked in the room. 2. Hotel workers were folding towels on the center table in the reception area where people eat/sit or do whatever they were doing before. It was night time so i guess either i wasnt supposed to see this or this is something they think it is pretty normal. 3. We picked up 3 dried dog poop in our room which my husband stepped on one of them by mistake. We probably could have called to front desk but it was easier to just pick it up and go to sleep at that late night. Bt anyhow i do think it is still hotels responsibility to make sure the room is somehow CLEAN and ready for the next person. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I was actually checked in here about a week ago during a trip cross country. We weren't due to check out til 11 the following morning, but my husband and I decided to leave sooner than that because he was just so upset with the front desk. Around 9 in the morning,my husband asked me to call maintenance,as our toilet would not flush. I used the phone in the room to call every extension they provided (including front desk) twice, before I got fed up and called them with my cell phone. TRISH picked up and told us she'd send someone straight away. Half an hour later, we called the front desk literally 12 more times, and each time, the lady at the front desk continued to PICK UP THE RECEIVER AND THEN HANG UP ON US... OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. WHAT??! We then called from my husbands cell phone, and she picked up. We informed TRISH that it had been an hour since our first call and room 417 still needed someone to fix the toilet. She just hung up on us and five minutes later, someone from maintenance showed up. We inquired when he got our call, and he apologized and said 5 minutes ago. The man was honest, we could tell and apologized over and over again when we told him about TRISH and her little escapade. It wasn't his place, but he made up for her serious lack of 'customer service.' TRISH, you're very lucky your housekeeping staff is beyond pleasant in the mornings, and that the gentleman who checked us in last night was so hospitable, otherwise there would have been a scene when my husband checked out of the hotel that morning. I walked straight to the car because if I were to see you, everyone in that hotel would have known you were picking up and hanging up on us, TWELVE TIMES OVER! Never in my life have I met someone who was so far off in their career field... Hospitality and Management is NOT FOR YOU! -I REPEAT, NOT FOR YOU! It was a crying shame that we rolled in at 10:30pm, showered and fell into bed after being on the road for 12 hours, because the room was absolutely amazing and we had to head out early the next morning so there was no time to enjoy it. Comfortable, even luxurious beds, felt so good. Nice shower. The deduction of a star, however, for the breakfast. Awful, powdery eggs, anemic biscuit gravy, passable waffles, and for this Starbucks girl, unacceptable coffee. Oh, the attendant at the desk acted like she couldn't have cared less to answer my question about where the bathroom was. Great room, beautiful town, terrible breakfast, snotty staff. I can't say enough good things about our stay. From check in to check out, our experience was 5 star at a 3 star price. The staff was so helpful. When we walked in to the lobby, it was crowded and I was looking to find the end of the line. I hear an employee ask if anyone had "reservations". I indicated with a wave, she came right over and checked me in. Within seconds I had our room keys and an up-graded room. I don't get to Butte much, but if I was looking for a good hotel, look no further. I will always stay here. read more

I have spent the nite here several times in the past few years. La Q is my favorite hotel chain. Staff in Butte have always been cheerful and helpful. The breakfast is better than most others I have stayed. There is always ample food in both quality and quantity. The beds are very comfortable. Hot tub is always welcome at the end of a travel day. Wi Fi very fast. Always a plus review. Pet friendly with no extra fee is biggest reason I search for La Q when I travel. read more

One of the better La Quinta's that Morris and I stayed at during our last trip. Check in was quick and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Incidentally I stay at alot of different La Quinta's and I find many of the reception workers at various locations to be disinterested and duh. Not the case here, Also as an elite member I was automatically upgraded to a suite which was well laid out and comfortable. This is also not the norm at most La Quinta's even though it is advertised as such. Good area for walking pets. Decent breakfast. A good experience overall. read more

The only thing missing is a pool but they did have a hot tub. Rooms decor was modern, obviously updated. Service at the front desk consistently welcoming and friendly. By far the best complimentary breakfast selection we have found! Would stay again if I'm in that area again. read more

This is by far the best La Quinta I have ever stayed in. Yes, it does look new. However, they just did a renovation. I will say they should remove the sign in the evaluator and put a new one up. It appears it letters were blackened with a sharpie or something. But the rest of the hotel of what I seen was done well. There are 2 computers set up in the lobby for your use - this is way better for me to use than an tablet I had on my trip to use. The breakfast room is decorated well, and offered a nice breakfast. Suggested a nice local restaurant for dinner which included a casino just up the street - food was very good and a great price. read more

We stayed here because of softball tournament. When we booked our rooms, there were limited available. With 3 adults and 2 kids, we were given one room with a hide a bed, and one with a queen bed. Being familiar with hide a beds, I knew the mattresses are not the best, but this one had no padding between the springs and the cover, totally unusable! The queen mattress was saggy, and that room hadn't been vacuumed from previous occupant. Talked to front desk, told that's the way hide aways were, asked for extra blankets and pillows so we could use the floor, never received. For the price, definitely not staying again! read more

We use La Quinta a lot since we travel with two dogs and not all are the same but this location is at the top! Connie's breakfast puts it over with eggs (scrambled and hard boiled) and delicious crisp bacon, two types of waffle irons, an assortment of cereals, muffins, bagels and breads, fruits, fruit cocktail, and sausage gravy over biscuits! Great send off and the employees were awesome! The price was fair, over $50 lower in cost going just a little bit further from Yellowstone tourism. read more
