Not much negative to say about the hotel or our stay. Check-in was smooth and easy, staff was pleasant and welcoming. A/C in the room was more than adequate for my needs. Showerhead was raised enough that it was comfortable for me to use. Room was clean and well appointed, bed was comfortable, pillows were a good mix of soft and firm depending on your preference. Seating area was very comfortable, and room felt welcoming and enjoyable. We did end up with a clogged toilet, unclear whether it happened before we checked in or if we "caused" it, since the first time I used it it overflowed on my feet. I called down for help and/or a plunger. An hour or so later I went down in person to see what was taking so long. The front desk was empty with a sign saying they were working in the office - no one was in the office that I could find and I was eventually startled by the employee saying hello from behind me back by the front desk area while I was searching the office. It appeared that we had been forgotten, but he got keys and came up immediately to find me a plunger. He offered to take care of it for me (bonus points) but I declined saying I would handle it (want something right, do it yourself). As a side note the housekeeping room on my floor (where the plunger was stored) was unlocked, and I was told to just replace it in the room when I was done and it was left unlocked. So ... security? Oh well. Also - I understand it is a pet friendly hotel, but there was a dog barking somewhere on our floor (all evening) until quite late, like 9 or 10ish. I know this isn't the hotel's overall issue, so I haven't "docked" them anything for it. But something to be aware of, since this seems like a very pet friendly hotel.

Wonderful stay! The most perfect night sleep ever. Great bed, comforter, and shower. Michelle, the breakfast host was so very sweet, too!

Paid over $200 for a 2 star room with a broken hot tub- charging regular price without even their basic advertised amenities.

There was not a strong perfume odor that some hotels have. Overall, it was generally good. We stayed in a mobility accessible room on the second floor. The room was spacious and included a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator We had three challenges: the toilet, while taller than some, was not at w/c height (but the grab bars were strategically placed), the motorized privacy blind was inoperable requiring that the blackout curtain be used and the controls are behind a stationary chair. The third challenge was the bed. It is too high for someone in a standard wheelchair and so soft that getting out of bed takes a LOT of energy. Since those are things that couldn't be fixed during our stay, we didn't bother notifying the front desk.

I am thankful I had the extra latch across door so he could not walk into room. He should be thankful too because my dog is extremely protective. The man stood there and told me the room was marked as vacant and I would need to go to front desk. I told him I am not going anywhere! Then the room phone rang. It was front desk. The lady said room vacant. I told her I was given the key with room number on it. She asked my name and said she would update the system. We got absolutely no sleep after that experience. I got no apologies at all. I emailed the hotel and received no response. I will not stay there again!

My 5 star review is slashed thanks to the archaic policy of deposit (whooping $250 for a $100…read moreroom). Deposits have disappeared in quality hotels and were used to either boost their ledger and/or the hotel is a history of unruly guests - either way it holds the guests money from use for days! Since the clerk does not check the room upon checkout and releases the deposit without checking, deposits are meaningless. Deposit policies should be easy to spot on reservation webpages and BEFORE you arrive at the hotel. I typically leave hotels with these deposits as seems unsafe. Not to mention I have to verify return of deposit after I leave the hotel. Extra work for a nights stay. So the 5 star I was leaving plummeted thanks to a unnecessary and unwarranted deposit - especially with such a large number Improve? Take away the deposit

Their pool area is nice but constantly filled with little munchkins. Their gym is trash. Only 2 treadmills, 2 bikes, and one weight machine. Our rooms air conditioning didn't work. We were on a long Montana trip and ended up needing to spend the night in Butte. I didn't expect a lot from a Ramada but Whyndham is decent, right? They are considered a step up from a pure budget motel, right? Wrong. From the moment we checked in, I complete regretted choosing this place. It was late and we just wanted to get our kids to bed yet the front desk person demanded IDs from me AND my wife. They then photocopied them and put them in a box on the desk and said they will keep them for 3 years. What in the world? I have NEVER had a hotel do that. They're worried about guests taking something from the room or damaging them somehow. Guess what? There is literally NOTHING worth taking in any of these rooms. And they already look like they are damaged! The entire hotel is extremely run down, dilapidated, grungy. The hallways are dark, musty. Garbage cans are overflowing with trash. If you know what 'The Backrooms' are, well, this is it! The bedrooms are sparse, which is fine but the beds, towels, everything, are just old and tired. The mattress was the old school spring type with worn out springs. Absolutely the worst mattress I have slept on in many years. Surprisingly, it wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be. Luckily, we were all tired enough from our long day driving that we slept ok, though I was worried about my truck getting broken into in the sketchy parking lot. It was fine. They offer free breakfast but we had absolutely no desire to eat at this place and got up early and got the heck out of there. I went to the front desk and requested that they turn over the copies of our drivers licenses that they were keeping in a flimsy, unlocked plastic box on the front desk. The front desk attendant told me this is a Montana law and all hotels do it (baloney!) but after I insisted, reluctantly handed them over. I absolutely do not recommend anyone ever stay here. I also most likely will never stay at a Ramada or maybe even any hotel under the Wyndham brand after this experience. How in the world Wyndham corporate lets this dirty dive bear the Wyndham name is beyond me. Yes, it was that bad. If you find yourself in Butte, Montana, stay anywhere but here. I didn't take many photos of this place but you can check out the couple I snapped of the inside of the room with the wallpaper peeling off the wall. That should give you an idea :|

Pulled in to see if they had vacancy and got amazing customer service from the desk clerk. She gave us 2 adjoining double queen rooms for under $100/ each. *The only "negative" of this room is that all adjoining rooms are on the first floor (love the 1st floor), BUT all 1st floor rooms can have pets. Good thing we didn't have any issues with finding pet hair or dander allergies. Speaks about their cleanliness!** Loved the price, loved the rooms. I want this kind of room every time. No carpet, luxury vinyl. Loved the modern upgraded fixtures in the room. USB charging station on the nightstand. Loved the sink outside the bathroom. The shower had hot water and good pressure. The bed was comfortable. And finally, after 4 nights in hotels, FULL (and firm!) SIZED PILLOWS. And there were 3 of them all for me! I was over the half sized feather/ fluffy pillows so far. We checked in early enough in the evening that I took advantage of their laundry services. I inquired at the front desk about this service and was gifted 2 Tide pods. They were left behind from a previous guest for others to use. Thank you to whoever you are! I found my way to the 2nd floor with $3 in quarters ($1 wash, $2 dryer). I spend approximately 1 hour sitting in the hallway with a puzzle book, trying to stay out of the way of a fellow hotelmates. So happy to get clean clothes at the halfway mark of our roadtrip. They also offer a HOT breakfast in the morning. It was also the ONLY place we got a hot breakfast included in our stay. Thank you very much. I witnessed a front desk staffer (manager?) make scrambled eggs on an electric skillet in their admin office, just steps away from the breakfast room. There was also hot sausage links, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, milk, coffee, juice. All yummy. By the time we were done eating at 8:30, all the tables were full of people. Overall, this place hit it out of the park. I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area in the future.
