Tried this place for the first time a week or so ago for brunch with some girlfriends. The place is located at the Wave hotel and from the time you step in the vibes are great. The cafe is located on the second floor and coming up the stairs is so pretty! Wooden floor stairs and what it looks like a cherry tree. Needless to say when we walked in the place is cozy and inviting. All super simple but cozy. Service was great! We were able to enjoy our time. The food was amazing! I had the steak and eggs and it was properly done. Steak was juicy and not salty. Well balanced. I loved that our server was able to recommend plates that I could it eat. I celebrated my birthday brunch at Garni Cafe located inside The Wave Hotel in Lake Nona, and what a great choice it was. From start to finish, the experience felt elevated and celebratory. We were attended by Rodrigo, who was absolutely pleasant, attentive, and full of great recommendations. His suggestion of the Croque Madame did not disappoint. It was soft, savory, and had just the right touch of sweetness. We also ordered the Garni Breakfast Sandwich and French toast to share. The breakfast sandwich is a classic at its core, but the bacon tomato marmalade sets it apart from your traditional breakfast sandwich. And the Dulce de Leche French Toast? Simply YUM. Rich, indulgent, and impossible to say no to along with bacon on the side. To top it all off, I was surprised with a glass of champagne to celebrate my birthday, which made the experience feel extra special and thoughtful. This is my first visit to Garney mid morning for a work session. I was able to be seated at the bar with my laptop. The day I went there there was no music which was perfect because I had to take a meeting anyway so it's a great spot where you can not only find lounge seated areas to have privacy, but you can also enjoy an amazing breakfast because I came in the late morning. I was able to enjoy lunch. I tried their chicken meatballs, which was phenomenal. The seasoning was perfect and it also came with a piece of bread to dip all of the sauce. I also had a latte which was very strong, but I'm not complaining. The staff was super nice and I loved how the bartenders were able to hold a conversation. Garni Cafe inside of the Wave Hotel for Orlando's Magical Dining (or any day really) is a must try We started with the Crispy Calamari, and it was absolutely delicious; light, crispy, and seasoned just right. For my entrée, I had the Roasted Half Chicken, it was cooked to perfection! Super juicy and flavorful, plus it came with a fresh side salad and fries that tied everything together. My friend tried the Red Wine Braised Short Rib, which was tender and rich, served with smoky potatoes and veggies. The entrée portions were quite large, you could share if you wanted to and $40 for a 3 course meal here is such a great deal. Think comfort food with a nice twist. The Croissant Bread Pudding was the grand finale, it was absolutely divine! The rum anglaise gave it the perfect flavor. The atmosphere inside the Wave Hotel is beautiful, and the service from Juan matched the vibe. This was my first time at the Wave hotel and it did not disappoint! We had dinner and drinks at Garni Cafe for a girls night. It's beautifully decorated inside with moss and plants on the walls. We ate here on four occasions during our stay at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel. Conveniently located on e second floor. It has seating outside on the pool deck as well as inside. Tables are set up in a spacious manner, with a decent amount of distance between them. Our breakfasts were well prepared with large sized portions of food. The coffee is strong and fresh. They also have 4 different freshly prepared juices with half of them more for health fanatics. Our server on several I. Asians was Juan. He is a gentleman, soft spoken and respectful, and efficient at bringing orders and monitoring their progress in the kitchen. He makes sure you are happy with your food, and that it was prepared exactly as you wanted it to be. The general manager of the restaurant is quite attentive and customer oriented. He is on site for the entire morning and afternoon. He makes his visits at all tables to ensure customer satisfaction. Opening at 6 am and closing at 3 pm. The fish - Bronzino and salmon - were both delicious as was the chicken pallard. French fries, if ordered well done, are a very tasty. The weekends offer a special brunch menu. It appears that GARNI attracts a local clientele as well as hotel guests. This it can get a bit crowded at peak dining times on Saturday or Sunday. They also had while we visited, a woman playing the violin. Frankly, it was a bit too loud and screeching for my tastes and did not drown out the noise from the tables. But it was a nice tough. We visited Garni three times during our two-day stay--breakfast twice and room service for dinner--and truly enjoyed everything. First, the space is beautiful. The decor is so thoughtful and trendy: marble tables, terrazzo bar tops, gold accents, greenery everywhere, and even pillows along the backrests. Every detail felt intentional and made dining inside the restaurant a really lovely experience. Over our visits we tried quite a bit. The Eggs Benedict was excellent--the hollandaise had a nice touch of lemon, and the creamy garlic spinach on a biscuit was flavorful and a fun twist. The French toast was wonderful, especially with the dulce de leche vanilla whipped cream (though I could have skipped the candied hazelnuts). My daughter had the waffle both mornings--perfectly crispy and delicious each time, and we added fresh strawberries. We also tried the Garni Breakfast Sandwich (everything-spiced brioche, egg, smoked gouda, bacon, charred scallion aioli, bacon tomato marmalade). I can see why it's a favorite--our server even recommended it--but the tomato bacon jam made it a bit messy for me personally. Still very tasty. For dinner via room service, I had the hummus & pita appetizer and the roasted beet salad, and my daughter had the fried chicken sandwich. Everything traveled well and was delicious. For the drive home we grabbed the Açaí Berry Bowl to go with homemade granola, Greek yogurt, coconut, banana chips, and fresh berries--too good to pass up and it didn't disappoint. To drink I had drip coffee, a macchiato, a vanilla latte, and a fresh juice. I actually ordered the Drop the Beat but I think I received the Blissed Out instead--pineapple, apple, lemon, spinach, blue spirulina--but it was delicious so maybe it was meant to be. All the other restaurants in the wave hotel is excellent and was excited to try this new place that had recently replaced haven. We went for dinner, the place is decorated nice, it is French inspired. Menu looks good, we started with the bread (pop over), it's good! Escargot, it's ok, it's not chewy so that's the good part but I felt it was very oily and was very salty. Third item we got was the deviled eggs, they were good but nothing special. For the entree my husband got the gnocchi and he enjoyed it. I got the duck confit, duck was cooked well but the meat on the side was fatty and with the beans it was over powering. Service was good. It was relatively empty when we went and a large party came in and they sat them right next to us which was then really loud. I would go back and give it another try for sure, maybe it was an off night. read more

Beautiful spot in the Wave hotel but not all it's cracked up to be. During the day when it's empty the service is okay, but at night they typically get busy and the service is really bad. You'll spend your entire meal waiting on a refill. Unfortunately I've tried Garni a few times and haven't been impressed. The undercooked the salmon and overcooked the sides. The steak is nothing impressive for the price. You're better off going to Boxi Park down the block and getting something that is a better bang for your buck. read more

To be honest we didn't expect much from a hotel breakfast but were happily surprised with the peach Bellinis and the breakfast sandwich (you should add siracha, it's kind of bland otherwise). We came for MD and everything was excellent except I took off one star for the baked gnocchi which was too oily, too rich, and way too much cheese baked on top. Skip that! The roasted beet salad was excellent! The deviled eggs were very good. Braised short ribs were tender and flavorful! For dessert we had the lavender crème brûlée, delish! And the croissant bread pudding, very good! I also tried the Basil Tai cocktail and it was very tasty! Juan took great care of our service and the ambience is always very nice. Garni Cafe is located on the second floor of Lake Nona's Wave Hotel. Although the seating area is small, the decor and views of the art park are beautiful. The drinks are very good and get the job done. I wanted a snack so I ordered the grilled octopus appetizer. It comes with potatoes and other greens which was enough to make me full. I also tried the wings and calamari appetizers which were very good. My only complaint is that the wings could've been crispier. Overall, this is a cute place to wind down after a long day of work or to catch up with friends. read more

So we thought we were going to Haven for a team Christmas brunch. As we approached the hotel, I noticed a lack of any signage bearing Haven's name. So we get there to find that as of that day they were rebranded as Garni. Quite a surprise! First off, this place is beautiful. Photo ops everywhere. I recommend getting pictures at the peacock chair. I really like the range of prices on the menu. You can be cost conscious, or you can go crazy. If you want bang for your buck, go with the Eggs Benedict or the Garni Big Mec. On the other hand if you want to eat light but feel like you spent big, go with the Croissant Lobster Rolls. Good things come in small packages I guess. They were tasty and just barely filling. The fries were really good. The avocado listed on the menu is an avocado sauce, so don't think you can go picking it off if you're not into avocado. The dish is served on three tiny croissants. I think it would have been better to have the same amount of salad on one small croissant. But hey, how much lobster salad do you expect to get for 25 bucks in a fancy place? With the exception of one person, my companions all said they really enjoyed what they had. The exception had the Chicken Paillard, which she said was fine for a dish that was just fried chicken in sauce. Not bad, but not remarkable. As we finished our server brought us some lemon macarons. They were tiny but tasty. I normally don't care for macarons, but these were pretty good. I'd really look forward to coming back here in the future. I think that burger is calling my name! read more

We came for a friend's birthday dinner and left disappointed. The hostess was unfriendly and sat us at a tiny front table despite the restaurant being nearly empty. When I asked about a booth or larger table, I was told none were available. Strangely, when I asked where we would have sat if all 5 in our reservation showed up, she pointed to a massive high top for 10-12. After dinner, we walked through the back and saw multiple empty booths. Our server was pleasant but rushed--no menu explanations or recommendations, which you'd expect at a restaurant of this caliber. The food was good, but the service and hospitality didn't match. Wow. This was a pretty disappointing experience. This restaurant sits in a gorgeous hotel where the penthouse is $3500 a night. Was I wrong to expect good food? Apparently. Let's start with something positive. The decor is cute. Well, except the stacked shag lights, those are awful. The appetizers we tried, the flatbread and the wings were okay. The wings come smothered in sauce, we weren't expecting that. The waitress was very nice. And now the bad. They were out of the first beer ordered, and after one glass ran out of the second. The waitress waited until our apps were gone to take our order so we were waiting forever. Then when the food came it was 5/5 awful. The gnocchi is app size and gray. The grilled cheese is not melted cheese. It's a cheese spread. It's NOT good. The herb roasted chicken was not real chicken. Not joking, something was seriously wrong with it. It was gritty like a powder and didn't taste like chicken. 3 people tasted it to confirm since it was so off. We sent that one back. The salad had one tomato and the rest was lettuce. The French fried are unseasoned shoe strings. McDonald's does better on those. The waitress took care of the meal we sent back but it was obvious when she cleared full plates no one liked their food. She offered two ice cream sundaes for free but that was it. No manager made a visit to show concern. Oh, and the music is so loud you cannot talk to your dinner guests. It started as sooth jazz, turned to techno jazz if that's a thing, then became rave music. So weird. So out of sorts. So bad. This restaurant is in the Wave hotel and I would say wave goodbye. I really wanted to love this place because it's so close to home & they rebranded. We had tons of trouble getting a reservation via open table. Someone had to drive to the Wave since no one answered the phone for hours just to see if there was any possibility we could grab a table for 6. During our time at brunch, the place was empty. Very confusing and disappointing for a place that was "booked out". We waited 30 minutes for every cocktail. We also ordered shots and the server never asked how to split them so we ended up with all 6 shots on one bill. We didn't even attempt to ask for it to be split since we waited so long for everything. Food was mediocre. The bill was over $375. We never have a problem with a big bill but we felt it was not worth it at all. As locals, fool us once... but never again! Garni Cafe, previously Haven, is on the second floor of the beautiful Wave Hotel. We had tried Haven before but were not impressed by that visit. With that being said, we decided to try the new French inspired Garni as we are big fans of Bacan and Nami. We were seated promptly by the hostess at a beautiful table next to the window. The sun was setting soon so it was bright and did bother one of the members of our party as the sun faced him, but only for a while. We ordered a couple of cocktails and a glass of wine, all of which were enjoyed. For appetizers, we ordered the Pain, two gruyere popovers with lemon butter. They were a little dry but the lemon butter made all the difference. The oysters were ok by those who had them. For our entrees we had the steak frites, the seafood bouillabaisse and the smoked beef bourguignon. The seafood bouillabaisse was delicious and a nice portion, the steak was cooked perfectly with a side of nice, thin crispy fries and green salad. The beef bourguignon was tender and flavorful. I did hope it would have a little more sauce, but overall a tasty dish. For dessert, we tried the chocolate cake, the caramel apple tatin and the profiteroles au chocolate. The chocolate cake was quite nice, the caramel apple tart was good though a little strong alcohol flavor on the apples themselves. The profiteroles were delicious though a little tricky to cut with a spoon. When we first arrived at the restaurant, it was not too busy so the service was a little quicker.; as the restaurant started to get a little bit more busy. the service did get a little slower. We did have to wait a little bit for the last course. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience and want to come back for Sunday brunch. As a sidenote, the restaurant does validate your valet parking reducing the price by about seven dollars and the lobby bar has live music with a nice atmosphere. read more

I haven't had good French cuisine in Orlando and I had the muscles which definitely reminded me of one of my favorite NYC dishes (absolutely amazing and a good size portion), we also had the beef bourguignon, seafood bouillabaisse, and Atlantic salmon and they were all very happy with each dish! Went here for magical dining. The appetizers were absolutely amazing but then the main dishes took about 40 minutes to come out. The "roasted" chicken was definitely deep fried and was very salty. The lavender crème brûlée was good in terms of flavor but it was not cooked properly as a crème brûlée and had consistency similar to yoghurt. Water cups got re filled after an hour of us sitting there. Overall I feel like it's more for tourists and taking pictures. The restaurant is very very pretty and well decorated, but overall I'm disappointed about the food and service that was received for $110. read more

What a complete disappointment. This place advertises itself as a a French Bistro cafe and is anything but. Hamburgers. Turkey burgers , fish tacos etc. I ordered the steak Frittes with peppers corn sauce and it was a skirt steak with a Demi Gaze. Also we ordered the muscles that had a nice sauce but it didn't come with a crostini or any type of bread ( Manager said that they didn't have bread in the restaurant).
