This is a nice little lunch spot right next to Lake Eola. If you're in the area, it's a cute café where you can grab a bite to eat. I recommend trying the 407 bowl; the chicken was very moist, and I added salmon, which was perfect. However, the rice was a bit dry, and I wish there had been a larger portion. They unfortunately didn't have any chicken available which was pretty much half the available options - but as we were leaving the server mentioned the fried chicken was now available. We ordered the fried chicken sandwhich, and it was just okay. The fries were underdone, and the bun wasn't toasted. Wasn't awful but wasn't my favorite thing ever. We previously have stopped in for the sangria pitcher, which was good. Came here looking for a quick breakfast sandwich after a quick walk around Lake Eola. We walked up and there was no one to greet us, they only have a touch screen to virtually order, or you can scan a QR code posted on the weird window and order on your phone. After we ordered, someone who works there told us there were no seats available and we could sit at the "bar". There was no bar, it was just a counter facing weird windows with bad clip art. Once seated at the "bar" we found menus, and apparently there is a wait staff, but the people at the table seated behind us hadn't been helped by the wait staff after they had been sitting there for 20 minutes, so I guess it's a good thing we ordered on the touch screen. We ordered the mango Matcha, and the ham and cheese croissant with egg. It took 32 minutes for the mango Matcha to come out. I would not recommend the mango Matcha, the mango tasted so artificial and way too sweet. Another 10 minutes later (so 42 minutes total after we placed our order on the machine) and the croissant came out. Even though we ordered it with egg, there was no egg. When we tried to find someone that worked there to let them know about the missing egg, There was no one in sight. At that point, after how long the wait was for the food initially and how lacking the service was, we just decided to cut our losses and leave. It wasn't worth it. Its really sad, because this is an amazing location, and the prior owner was so awesome and thoughtful. It used to be a great place to hang, but I would recommend ANY of the other small businesses around the lake before I would recommend this place. read more

For my meal, I got a flatbread and it was delicious! The pesto flavor wasn't overpowering at all and was rather more of a subtle aftertaste. My husband devoured his club and chips quickly. They have some elaborate milkshakes that we did not try this time around, but I will edit my review if we ever do get them! To order, there is just one electric kiosk, so I can definitely see that getting backed up depending on how much traffic they receive in the future. However, after ordering I'd say it took less than 8 minutes for us to receive our food - which we were very delighted and surprised by! If you have seen the movie pitch perfect and the girl who whispers and barely audible that was our waitress. The food was just ok nothing special or yummy about it. When the bill arrived there was a surcharge for using a credit card there was no mention of this on the menu. The suggested tip included the surcharge and tax in the percentage. We had two chicken wraps and a soft drink and it was 43.00 dollars for mediocre food. I don't mind paying for good food but I felt the value was not there for a return visit. The waitress over charged us and ran my card for the amount and then said we will refund that in cash it was very odd. read more

Stumbled across I Love Orlando Cafe on my way to the Mind Travel festival here in Orlando today and everything from their service and ambiance to their delicious arepas and coffee. Visiting from out of state and my brother in law invited me out for some therapeutic music and classic Arepas. I love me a good Arepa. Here at the cafe they have just that for you. I would highly recommend getting their Chicken and mozzarella cheese arepa, and you can even get other options to stuff their arepas with. I chose the chicken and mozzarella cheese one. Freshly made, stuffed big arepas! Yum yum yum, you can't ever go wrong with a nice comforting arepa. Everything was delicious and I know exactly where I'm going to get my arepa fix! She did see me when I sat down but she was opening the front but still got ignored. When she finally did approach me, I turned around and she was stand behind the chair next to me. I nor can anybody see behind me, plus I had my ear buds on so that startled me. I ordered, she came with my food and my avocado toast slide half way of the plate which the other half touched the table ( ordered a mimosa, didn't get carded, scary). And she just pushed it back with her finger. Im not a total germ freak but that was nasty. Great place for relaxing and site see but not for the serve. It was a ok for. Probably won't be back. This is a cute cafe, right near downtown Orlando. The location is very convenient, right on the corner of the street. The decorations and vibes on the outdoor patio were super cute. It is filled with floral decor and plants. As far as food, they have a few breakfast options. My husband tried one of the egg and sausage breakfast sandwiches and I had a cheese filled arepa sandwich. The food was decent but pretty overpriced. For drinks, my husband got an iced coffee and I got an iced matcha latte. Again, we noticed the size and price of our drinks was not on par especially given that both drinks were not good. They were bland and somewhat watery because of the ice to liquid ratio. Definitely a cafe that needs some work but it covers the "basics". They should improve on quality of food and drinks. Otherwise, the service and ambiance were great. read more

I visited I Love Orlando Cafe for the first time while in the downtown area. The place caught my attention, so my friends and I decided to try it. Unfortunately, while the experience was fine, the food itself was underwhelming. I ordered the "I Love My Vegan Bowl." The black beans were overly salty and watery, the plantains were not ripe enough to bring out their natural sweetness, and the rice was plain, lacking the freshness that cilantro and lime could have added. The guacamole was heavy on salt, and the salad.. I didn't eat any of it.. though the hummus was surprisingly good -- easily the strongest part of the dish. Service was efficient and professional. Our server was welcoming, attentive, and the food came out within ten minutes, which I appreciated. I'd rate the service an 8/10. The atmosphere was casual and pleasant, but nothing distinctive -- just a standard, friendly space for conversation. Overall, I Love Café delivered a passable meal but nothing that stood out. The execution of flavors and balance in seasoning needs work. While I might return to explore another dish, this first visit did not leave me particularly eager to rush back. read more

Excuse the long review- I have lots to say! I live a block away and have been waiting for this place to open. The small amount of reviews on here were great so I was very excited to try. Unfortunately, I must have caught them on an off day or off moment because I had stopped by after my walk around the lake and did not have the best experience. The walk-up window was confusing because there was a guy at the window (ended up being the owner) but there was also a server (and 2 other employees behind the window on their phone not offering any help or welcoming) and both the owner and server were trying to take care of me at the same time, even though I had mentioned multiple times I was trying to place a to-go order at the window. Typically people will take your entire order, take payment, then begin making your order, but the owner at the window asked me what I wanted and then turned around immediately to start it, which was a big waste of time because I wanted 2 other items as well. I had to yell in the window to get his attention that I wanted to add something else, I ordered a ham and cheese croissant - which was supposed to come with their "secret sauce" (it did not come with any sauce) and honestly I've never seen a more sad looking sandwich. One slice of deli ham and one slice of cheese on a squished croissant... I also ordered a strawberry smoothie which i asked if it was made with fresh fruit and if it had added sugar, he said yes fruit smoothie and no added sugar and that he can add whey protein... I should have known not to trust it though because there were no ingredients in the smoothie listed on the menu, but it tastes exactly like a virgin daiquiri from an island oasis machine... just with added protein. (i work at a pool bar- iykyk). it made my stomach hurt and i couldn't finish it bc it was gross and tasted like straight sugar. I also got an iced chai with a double shot of espresso and he kind of judged me a bit and said "that's a lot of caffeine i've never heard of someone doing that before"? and the coffee was not good... it was not a good chai, espresso, milk ratio. i couldn't even finish it. Also i would like to mention I was the only one who was ordering, no one else was waiting in line or waiting on food or drinks and there were only 2 other guests there, who were already sat and taken care of. I asked to pay with cash and the guy said yes, handed me my receipt and then turned around and I had to wait so long for him to turn back so I could give him my money. Then the server came up to me (she did not even take my order so i don't know if she was trying to be helpful or just get the payment and tip under her name), I told her I was using cash and she walked away. The owner still wouldn't turn around to grab my money, so I had to get the attention of another employee to hand him my cash and he told me "we don't accept $100 bills"... then the owner finally turned around and said "I can take it if I have enough change". It was just weird and chaotic for no reason. There also was a maintence/inspector guy trying to do his job and communicate with the owner as he made my order, so perhaps they were just distracted? But i was expecting the service to be better, especially with how slow and dead it was. I really wanted to like this place, I love the atmosphere and location and I'll most likely come back to give them a second chance. and the 2 employees who spoke to me where VERY nice, I have nothing against their character, the services and experience just felt a little stressed and chaotic (again it was dead there) and the quality of every item i got was poor. I just feel like I completely wasted my time and my $30+ on these 3 items. :( read more

We were in Orlando for the Winter Park Art Festival and was looking for breakfast and lattes. Happened upon this location after initially trying to go to another spot that had an insane line and barely any seating. So glad we decided to leave there and walk to I Love Orlando Cafe. We had breakfast sandwiches and 2 lattes. Everything was wonderful. There is a "secret sauce" apparently on the sandwiches, which added to the deliciousness! The staff are so helpful and polite,a good amount of seating, with most having a view of the lake. The music was nice and the ambience! Then when we tried order our meals with the breaded chicken, we were RUDELY told that they are a small restaurant and just ran out right after she offered that to us. The waitress didn't mind rushing us to pay and leave because her shift was over. No information on who would take over our table. Worst service ever!
