I have to say that the customer service folks (Mary called me) are fantastic at Garrett. I sent in a request regarding a replacement PCBA for my ATGold detector. Totally my fault that I left the batteries in too long and one leaked. The acid leak destroyed the LCD display coating. Mary very politely explained that they don't send out electronic replacement parts, like the assembled printed circuit boards as basic policy. I totally understand this coming from the electronics manufacturing business, but I had to ask. My ATGold unit was 10 years old, so way past the warranty. I was treated very politely, with an explanation and I was offered to send it in for repair. With shipping etc I knew this is the main heart of the unit and would most likely cost me close to a replacement unit. Although I have to buy a replacement, I feel that Garrett is an honest, reliable company with customer service integrity. I will buy another Garrett. Lovely to talk to you Mary! These guys have been around since 1964 and there's no need to go into their contributions to the world of metal detecting their reputation is known and respected around the world. Although I didn't purchase a Garrett Metal Detector when shopping for my latest acquisition they definitely were in the running. My experience has been focused on their quality metal detecting accessories. I'll continue to to consider Garrett Metal Detectors anytime I'm looking to replace or upgrade my treasure hunting equipment. Detector Gadget We really love using the Garrett® Pro-Pointer AT™ metal detectors at work but I'm not sure if we're extra hard on them or if they're just too delicate for our use. We had a couple of them start to malfunction on us, and I decided to contact Garrett via email asking about their 2yr warranty coverage. Got a really quick response from Maureen W and after a few questions she set me up an RMA and I shippex them off to TX for repairs. We received them back in about 2 weeks from when I shipped them out (7/15) to when we received them back (7/31)--which is really impressive imo. Not only did they fix the issues but they gave us new outer shells--as well as fresh Duracell® batteries! Tldr: Great customer service to go along with a great product, but minus 1-star for me having to get them fixed within the first year of owning them. read more

This company has great Customer Service. The employees who have helped me on the phone have all been very knowledgeable and courteous. I had a problem with my Ace 250 and I took it directly to their warehouse for repairs and ended up upgrading to a better detector for a great discount. Your employee, Maureen, was very helpful and very nice to deal with. Im very happy with my 55th year anniversary special, Ace 300 that comes with pin-pointer, rain cover and keepers box. After only 3 years my AT Garrett PRO is broken. I have contacted you on June 21st but never heard back. I have always read about Garretts good service before purchasing, but right now I am really doubting this was the truth. This is my video I made to demonstrate that the metal detector is going crazy. There is no metal close by of course , and this reaction applies to any ground I tried it on for 3 days. I have already detached and re-attached the coil, changed the cable spinning, but once the coil is hooked up to the metal detector, the crazy signals begin. Without the, to the metal detector, connected coil, there is no sound. In 2018 I already had issues searching on beaches, for example at San Diego or San Francisco - there it also just made crazy signals even with ground balancing, however this time it seems different. I already contacted the sales person I bought it from (nuggets Detectors + Security GmbH from Austria, Europe) in 2018, but he told me it's somewhat normal to receive those signals, so I have accepted that I won't be able to search in places that is close to salt or sweet water. But now the signals are constant at dry places too and therefore I won't be able to use this metal detector any further.
