    Pretzel beer cheese flight

Our experience here was really poor. Apparently the kitchen closes at 10:00, but this wasn't on the menu/website, nor did our waitress tell us. We arrived at 9:15pm already knowing what we wanted, but never got the chance to order dessert. When our waitress picked up our dinner plates she told us the kitchen was already closed. The prices in the menu were also $2 less than what we were charged for each item. The prices were still fine but it feels deceptive/cheap. The food was also quite poor, specifically the ragu. It was incredibly salty and bitter, I could only stomach about a quarter of the plate before I had to give up. My partner didn't think it was any better. Their salmon was also over-salted, but it was at least cooked well. The asparagus risotto itself was actually really delicious. We rarely have issues disliking food, we eat out often and at different types of places. Hopefully this was just a bad night for the restaurant , but unfortunately there were too many negatives about our night to return or recommend.

Had lunch with my bestie here. We got the pretzel with their cheese sauce and it was ok. I then ordered fries and Mac n cheese with peas. Everything was soo good, perfect girl "dinner" though it was lunch That mac n cheese was to die and will come back for that! Somewhere in my top 5! We got there before the rush and there's plenty of street parking but depending when you go, you'll have to pay. Service was friendly and overall will come back.

Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night and sat indoors even thought we preferred to sit outdoors. The outdoor seating on nice days looks nice and relaxed but fills up quickly. Reservations were made but there definitely seemed like a lot of walk ins as well! We had a good round of drinks which included the aperol spritz and blueberry Limonad. Both drinks were refreshing and served quickly. For food my friends ordered burgers and I got the mussels which were all decent. I would come back to try out other options on the menu as well.

Small portion of mussels compared to last year's. I had gnocchi and it was too creamy with very little spinach and sun dried tomatoes.

Everything I had and drink was delicious! The pretzels had three different cheeses. My favorite was the Pilsner cheese. The chicken wings were buffalo Sriracha, which had a nice sweet thing through it. The chicken tasted fresh on it, overly though. Short grill toast with cheese was so delicious devoured it and the fries were very good as well. a nice taste. Very cozy, nice atmosphere enjoyable bar style

Everything here was delicious! The Monk Frites are amazing. They do not taste like any other regular fries and paired with the truffle ketchup was truly unique. The Mac n cheese is some of the best I've had. We had a large party and they were able to accolade us last minute, which was much appreciated.

Great place. Parking is a bit tight so perhaps grab a Lyft. Food was superb and the portion sizes were massive. Great value. So many great beers as well. Cozy atmosphere too. Take a chance in this place you will be happy you did.

Method: Dine in Item(s) ordered: frites, mushroom risotto, Fiddlehead IPA The short answer: a great place for drinks, not a bad food option but there are certainly better places nearby. The long answer: Gave Publick House another shot. I had a Fiddlehead IPA (highly recommend, in general). I also had the mushroom risotto, which felt wholesome and nutritious but low on flavor. The frites were barely crunchy and most were floppy/not crunchy. I ate them anyway because they tasted good and I was hungry. Overall the vibes were pretty nice and the staff was so welcoming, patient, and kind. Perhaps food-wise it's not incredible, but the (nicer than usual) pub experience is there.

We like meeting friends here. They have an extensive beer menu especially if you like Belgium beers, and service is always on point.

Ask the Community - The Publick House

Do they do trivia night, if so which night?

i do not believe that the publick house has trivia night as i have lived in brookline for fourteen years and never seen trivia.

Does Publick House have a beer garden?

Actually they do have some outdoor seats. They have a few picnic tables and a smaller table or two on the sidewalk in the sun, but otherwise no real beer garden.

The place has a really fun vibe -- coffee shop in the morning and brewery in the evening. The hostess was super friendly and got us seated in a nice dry spot in the back where we could admire all the brewing equipment. Live music started while we were there, adding more energy to the atmosphere. There's also an upstairs area that looked like a great place to hang out. The food looked fantastic, and my wife was especially excited to see they had a gluten-free dessert option. They offered a huge variety of freshly brewed beers -- IPAs, pilsners, sours -- something for everyone. They also had several non-alcoholic options, which was nice to see. I enjoyed a few half beers along with an order of guacamole, and my wife had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious. The service was great, the beer was cold and fresh, and the atmosphere made it such a fun place to relax for a while. Definitely a great spot to grab a few drinks and hang out!

The way these people handled the large crowd when they weren't expecting much of one for 3 hours was amazing. The brewery has 2 floors with multiple bars with taps and they were running full speed ahead. We found a couple of seats upstairs and I walked up to one of the bars and ordered a few 4-5 oz pours. Their hazies were really good especially Runner's High and Cloud Candy. While we were sitting there, we ordered a few apps; a hummus plate and some hot honey Brussel sprouts. They both came out fast and were tasty. The beer and food were both good, but the service was even better. The Mighty Squirrel is a well oiled machine.

Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, but it's super convenient to get to via the Green Line, which made it easy overall. For food, everything was delicious: The Romaine & Kale Caesar was good, though I wish it had whole anchovies for a little extra punch. The prosciutto bruschetta was incredible, definitely a standout. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite dish of the night, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rigatoni bolognese was solid and comforting. The Chianti-Marsala braised beef short rib was insanely tender and cooked perfectly (just wish there were a few more mushrooms!). Also have to mention the dirty martini was so good. Overall, such a great spot with a fun vibe, amazing service, and really tasty food. I'll definitely be back!
