    Baby Back Ribs
    Rick C.

What I liked: - Good craft beer selection. - Great location - The baby back ribs were plenty meaty. - the mushroom risotto was very good. Areas for improvement: - I ordered two different IPAs, and both were off. Not sure if the lines need cleaning or if the turnover was low. - the ribs were good sized but a bit dry. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was very attentive.

This was BEFORE we had the onion rings .

Let's just cut to the chase. This is a lovely venue for a sports bar. If I had showed up to watch the big game ordering beer or drinks, I suspect my review would be quite different. Alas, I came with my wife and daughter for a late dinner. And on that basis, it fails. Question. How does one ruin onion rings? Seriously. I've never been to a sports bar that botched fried menu items. The onion rings were rubbery and over-fried to oblivion. Not to mention, there were five of them. Five onion rings? Was it a small order? No. And they weren't the giant ones where you could say, ok I get it -- those are giant onion rings. The order was five average sized onion rings, which ended up being four too many since they were inedible. Not a good start. I had the fish and chips (I ordered this before I knew this place didn't know how to make bar food). The order was two small over-fried fish portions, and a handful of fries. The fish wasn't as epically bad as the onion rings, but they weren't good by even my lowly Michigan standards. The fries were ok and that measure makes them the strongest fare of the meal. Wife's salad was drenched with dressing. Daughter's fettuccini Alfredo was watery and weird tasting. The ambiance is great for a sports bar. Great old features and ample tvs to see the game. But this is not a kitchen to rely on. Come here for beer and TV and you'll be fine.

    Fish and Chips

Went here for lunch. The service wasn't great but I think they were understaffed. The clam chowder was pretty good and the Caesar salad and fish and chips were pretty average. But I do think this bar could be really fun at night when there's a sports game on.

    Cup of beef stew

Came here late night for a quick bite and wasn't too impressed. Ordered the cup of stew and cup of chowder. Neither one stood out. The stew had a rosemary flavor that took over completely. Our server did not seem too aware of the menu and promised us bread for the stew. We waited for quite some time before deciding to finish it without it. She finally returned to tell us cups don't come with bread. That was disappointing that we waited so long. Ambiance is dark and spacious in the back.

    Espresso Martini

Came for an after work bite and sat at the bar . The place was relatively empty, but it still took the waiter about five minutes to acknowledge my presence. Once he greeted me, his overall demeanor seem to change and he was pretty friendly. The fries were great, and the clam chowder had a pretty decent amount of clams in it, but the top of it was lukewarm, and the inside was piping hot as if it was microwaved . The cauliflower arrived to me room temperature. Espresso martini was amazing and I have no complaints about that. the overall atmosphere of this place as a sports bar all the TVs had different sports games playing. Honestly, this area has a lot of restaurants so I don't anticipate coming back here.

The service was attentive and super friendly. I had a nice chat with some frequent locals at the bar, too. This spot offers up a local pub vibe, which is welcoming. Although my drink was way pricier than I thought it would be ($18 clams for a Manhattan?!l), I will come back again. The food is pub food, so don't expect any fancy pants dishes. I recommend popping in for a beer and quick eats on a night after work to avoid rush hour insanity. They have tables out front for those who want to 'be seen' and a patio area in the back, too!

    Fried Cod Sandwich
    Rachel S.

Tasty late night spot, had a delicious fried fish sandwich. The bartender made some beer recommendations and let me taste before ordering. I had some thing super delicious off the tap, he had clearly listened to my taste. My only complaint was that the beer was $11, which I was not expecting for a local draft beer. Not sure if that's just inflation or what.

Very mediocre food, service and atmosphere. We didn't even finish our dinner. It was my first time here and I see no reason to go back

The food was bad. Clam chowder only ok. French dip almost inedible. The atmosphere was fair at best. The server was very nice.

Brewery 411 I am…read moretorn on writing this one. Tree House is ranked by many as the #1 brewery in America. This is not the real Tree House Brewery. This is a tap room put in a mall. It's still Tree House's beer but it's kind of bastardized. Imagine putting a Michelin star restaurant in a food court next to a Chic Fil A. It loses some of its luster. I went up to the makeshift portable bar and they had I am guessing 8-10 beers on tap. No flights. So, I ordered the girlfriend and I each a beer which were poured into plastic to-go cups. She got a Julius and I got an Ultimate Haze, both excellent. The atmosphere is just open mall area and then an outdoor atrium, both kind of blah. There was a kiosk to buy gear and a cooler around the corner to buy canned beer to go. Next time I will rent a car and go to one of the real brewery locations but for now I will be thankful that I could basically get a Julius hazy IPA next to an Orange Julius. Ha!

A good but limited option to sample some classics and some new beers in the mix. Bartenders are knowledgeable and they were glad I came. Both of us got combo platters with, between us, had a variation of wings, ribs, pulled pork, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and fries. I am guessing this restaurant is trying to make things "their own" by going an non-traditional route with some things and I'm usually fine with that - if I know it in advance. Cole slaw, while it had good flavor, was very heavy on the mayo and contained very large pieces of onion which is not common. I know far too many that don't like onions and this would have been an unpleasant surprise. The mashed had a good flavor as well (but woah, a TINY side that was the same portion as the cole slaw) but it had a spice to it in there - no clue what it was but, again, would have been a huge no to folks like my mother, my kids, etc. Onto the meats. They were OK but so dry if you don't opt to add in some of the sauces. The sauce offerings seemed a little different to us so we went with the "Classic BBQ" and frankly, we both hated it. It seems to have a "Hunts tomato sauce" base. That's exactly what it tasted like. Hunts tomato sauce. I wish I knew it was a tomato sauce base (or tasted like it) because it's very thin and heavy on the tomato flavor. Since we didn't like the sauce, our meats were SO dry b/c they had no sauce on them. Anywho - someone next to us ordered a sirloin, I believe, it looked great. Maybe we just went for the wrong thing. But I could not get that BBQ taste out of my mouth all night. Two 2 meat combos (with $1 upcharge for ribs), one appetizer (queso), a diet soda and 2 Bud Lights ($10 ea!) came to just over $90 before gratuity. We came here while crushing some time while our older son was at an activity and we have to repeat this in a couple of weeks. We will not be back here... we'll have to find another place to spend some time and have dinner. Again, service was TOP NOTCH - no complaints about service. But the food left a lot to be desired. We had higher expectations for sure.
