One of our kids demolished a huge portion of the tre colori while I was truly enjoying the plain cheese. Our 2 year old loves pizza but this was the first time we saw him grab the slice and eat entirely on his own (complete with pizza dance moves between bites)! Perfectly thin pie with sauce and cheese to the edges with the nice halo crunch. Sauce had great flavor and they definitely used the good cheese. Friendly staff too! Garwood Pizza Company has lept into the crowded NJ pizza scene with a unique twist - a well done pie that results in a nearly invisible crust, giving you extra room for toppings and taste. I've been here twice so far, opting each time for a plain pie along with a pepperoni and red onion. I've loved the flavor of each, with the extra oven temp clearly drawing out the full blend of cheese and perfectly balanced sauce. One downside I've found is that the pizza doesn't reheat easily, as it's hard to replicate the crispy and juicy flavor you get straight out of the oven . The good news is that with the way they package the pies, they will keep in a box pretty well as you drive home and scarf down in the comfort of your own living room. The better news is that with this pizza, you won't have leftovers anyways. The only downside to this store is it's still new, and it will likely need to graduate from its current location. There are only about five tables, so it's truly a takeout spot, but it's on busy North Ave and there's no dedicated lot. If you're going, combine it with a CVS trip across the street and you can grab your pizza while parking comfortably there. Otherwise, try the side streets, but even there it's a bit dicey. If you aren't afraid of tricky parking, or the 5,000 calories you'll want to consume in one sitting, you've found your new pizza spot. read more

First time trying Garwood Pizza and we'll definitely be back. The white pie and classic cheese pie were both outstanding thin, crisp crust with a premium, flavorful sauce that really stands out. Their plum sauce is absolutely on the money and adds a great touch to the pies. We also tried the Caesar salad and it was amazing, especially the house-made Caesar dressing. The place itself is small and cozy with about five tables, which gives it a true neighborhood pizzeria feel. Only downside is parking you'll need to use the lot across the street or the church lot nearby. Overall, excellent pizza, great flavors, and well worth the stop. We've tried ordering, now on four different occasions. We have been unsuccessful in each occasion. We've heard the food is really good, but, at this point we'll never know. This last attempt at calling to order, we were out on hold...that's pretty normal. We asked to place an order that we'd pick up. We were told it would be one hour before we'd be about to pick up pick up our order. Fourth time was the charm. There will be no more attempts to place an order. Thank you for your response to my review. I'm happy to hear that you are so busy. Unfortunately though, we are not always sure early in the day what we want for pizza. I'm used to making reservations when we're going to sit at a restaurant, but not when I'm calling in a take out order. After over 45 years in the restaurant business I do have some sense of what a restaurant, even a busy restaurant, goes through. We've tried on four different occasions to "give you a fair shot". Im one who usually asks for my pizza well-done so I was looking forward to this style pizza. I also went out of my way to go before dinner hour to avoid them being out of dough. Pizza was served and looked absolutely amazing and yes well-done but when I tasted it, it was more dried out, dehydrated and salty than i could have imagined. It was nice and crispy but I'm sorry to say, mozzarella was plastic-y had no general creamy flavor of good mozzarella. The tomato sauce was just salty. If I had to describe it, the pizza almost had the taste of an overly reheated leftover slice, salty and plastic-y. First off the girl working there was very nice to me. Waited a month for them to try to get their kinks out but I guess they didn't. Ordered a plain cheese pizza, dry, sauce was very salty, tasted like cardboard. Tried to go to my usual spot but couldn't get a reservation. Horrible presentation, what happened to the cheese crust, the way it is cut. I kept my mouth shut because the girl was so nice. I will not be coming back. Just going to go to my usual spot. Got a pie from Garwood pizza recently, 1/2 plain, 1/2 sausage and brocolli rabe. Very dissapointed. I called the order in and they told me 25 minutes. I got there at about the 20 minute mark. When I walked in the guy told me "perfect timing! It just came out!" I thought, yeah, perfect. When I got home and opened the box, less that 10 minutes later, I looked and said, "not so perfect". I really like pan pizza and how the cheese melts to the edges and carmelizes and I get that pan pizzas are usually a little on the well done side. This pizza however, was way beyond well done. It was overcooked to the point that every bit of moisture from the sauce and cheese was gone along with most of the flavor. It had ZERO flop, stiff as a board, literally like eating a piece of cardboard. It didn't help that they dumped a bunch of basil on the cooked (dare I say, BURNT) pizza which also took away from the sausage and brocolli flavor. I'll give them another try because i get it, every pizza joint, no matter how good they are, can have an off day. But for this review, I gotta rate it at about 2.3 out of 5. read more
